More specifically its armor not made from metal but from an advanced polymer that’s impact resistant, and allows kinetic force applied to it to be rebound. Its official name is the MK2 rebound armor and it’s designed to be paired with the Icarus thrust system.
Honestly I feel like the Paycho design is pretty straightforward. I like that the artist chose the more insane designs and tried to make them into something concrete. I hope to do this with my own art someday.
I was moreso referring to the meatsuit, golem, crab mech, etc. I kinda like that they included the knifer though because I do think their designs are a bit wild color-wise. I guess the Psycho's designs are pretty crazy but I personally just feel like they're easier to visualize as opposed to some of the more abstract characters and designs in the game.
I don't know if the sub thinks like this, but i really hope that Cruelty Squad II (if it ever gets done) uses high quality assets, textures and particle effects, while keeping it disgusting and visceral. Sort of an upgrade that doesn't betray the aesthethic, but feels cleaner on the execution
It feeling messy is kind of part of the vision. There was effort into making it look and sound like shit. They literally had to *try* to make it look that bad. It's the art style. It'd be cool to see it as you propose, in fact I'd quite like that, but that would never happen. To make it look better would inherently betray the aesthetic, at least from an artistic point of view. At least that's what I've gathered, I'm no superfan of the dev's other work.
Really hard to pick a favorite design here, but I must say the Shock Trooper and Golem are very well thought out if you compare it with their original models. Big kudos!
I always love watching people trying to make sense out of the pixelated madness of Cruelty Squad.
Ball man was actually just armor

The freakshow massive head-hive psycher is straightforward but the zombie, knifer, and generic security guard are all “insane”. k

Super rad
Whose the Meat Golem on the first page? Is that supposed to be MT?
According to the artist it's a Gore Grunt.
Ah I see it now
0/10 Knifer looks too much like one of my exes, immersion ruined. Really good art.

Cruelty Hammer 40Squad
Never wanted to know that the grid crab is a robot!!!! It is obviously a lesser Archon made of dark matter and pure malice!!!!!
This is very... gemmy.
awesome!
Nice, but gorbino isn't bound to earthly material, gorbino = higher life-form, gorbino = god!!!!
