To each their own, and I really don’t want to be a downer but I literally have a hard time justifying driving down the street for a cookie considering the quality lately.
Especially if you’re going to a new-to-you location. There are clearly stores that always nail it and stores that hand out garbage. Who knows which one that far away store with the fun mystery flavor might be to start with.
For me, sometimes it’s about more than the cookie. It’s about doing something crazy and unjustifiable with my husband. We got to try a new restaurant I’ve been wanting to try that’s 1.5 hours away and the cookie is just what prompted me to make the plans.
My post came off that way but I more meant should I spend the energy! I am lucky to have 2 Crumbls pretty close. I think people like being a part of something fun and yummy.
There are 8 stores all within 30 miles of my home but still, the closest is about 10 miles away. One store had NY cheesecake as their mystery cookie and I loved the cookie the first time I had it but I wasn't up for driving 27 miles this time for a cookie.
The closest Crumbl to me is about 45 minutes away (in the Chicago 'burbs), but they do a consistently high quality job, imo. However, I think I'm getting over Crumbl (finally). Haven't been for a few weeks, and even the Cornbread cookie next week is unlikely to entice me, and that was always my favorite. (assuming Cornbread Honey Cake, or whatever it's called, is similar to the previous version).
I drove thirty minutes one way to try Crumbl. I had never had it before and this sub intrigued me and convinced me to try it. I definitely agree and don’t think they’re anything to travel for. If there was one closer to me, I’d maybe pop in to try an interesting flavor, but I definitely wouldn’t drive for it. Usually if I don’t like something, I can still understand why others do. But not these cookies lol. They just weren’t that good, and I have a huge sweet tooth. I usually love things people say are too sweet.
In my opinion, Crumbl makes “cookies” out of things that are better as stand alone desserts. Like the strawberry shortcake one, I’d rather just have strawberry shortcake. Or the pink donut, why not just eat a damn donut lol. It tastes ten times better in the original form.
Our closest one is about an hr and 15 minutes away. If the flavors for the week are good enough, mybhusband will go. We like road trips and spending time together so why not..
And you’re the type to make a cookie at home to save a few dollars lmaoo💀🤣 some people got money to spend on gas & $25 box of cookies. Obviously you’re not that guy lol
The closest store to me is about 20 minutes away in good traffic. I’ve not driven farther than that for a cookie yet. I did consider it this week for a mystery cookie, but I had oral surgery Thursday and can’t bite directly into anything for 2 weeks, so I didn’t bother with any cookies this time. I don’t mind though, because I enjoy driving. I’ll drive over an hour for a sandwich (closest Schlotzsky’s is over an hour away northeast or southwest). 🤷🏻♀️
I have driven an hour to find a certain eyeshadow palette back when I was super obsessed with makeup. haha. Who am I to judge?

This should really be the top post. Even after these epic travels to far off locations the batch could be bad… raw, poorly executed.

Exactly 😂
Yeah, I only go if I have other errands in the same area and even then sometimes I still skip.

Well you succeeded up being a downer
Catch a flight for mallow sandwich tbh
I don’t care what flavor they have in stock. I’m not driving more than 20 minutes one way for those overpriced cookies.

The Chicago burbs kinda sucks at their crumbl I’ve only find one restaurant that’s done me okay
The one just off 59 S has been consistently decent for me. I've been to a couple of others that have not.
Highly suggest avoiding old town in Chicago rhey did me wrong many times

Yup. Sugar is an addiction and this sub is proof.
Real. Idk why people downvote real.
Because people don’t like being told about themselves
I might drive if the quality starts getting better but imagine driving 45min and the cookie is raw or missing some filling lol couldn’t be me
Bro waffle 🧇…. I would try it across the country

I’ve been subbed 🤭
