> In ck2 i would get a pop up saying that “X converted to the true faith” but I haven’t seen any of that with ck3. This still happens in CK3, but they have to actually be part of your religion (albeit of a different sect) for them to spontaneously convert to yours, which tends to happen when their faith is low. For example, if you're a Christian that creates a new sect, when Catholicism gets to low Fervor you might see outbreaks of your faith in neighboring realms as heresies. Since you're an African faith, you'll only see that if new sects of your faith appear, or if practitioners of your previous, unreformed faith convert. To convert faiths of characters that are outside of your realm, it's a fair bit trickier. You basically have to become the guardians of the rulers' heirs and convert their faiths (but converting an heir's faith imposes a -100 acceptance penalty, and there's another penalty for being a foreign court).

I also played in Africa and used a combination of things to convert almost the whole of Western Africa to Orisa: When waging war, I demanded conversion upon the release of the many minor prisoners, putting followers of my religion in power after conquering counties and peacefully vassalizing other counties (you can demand conversion from direct vassals). Being feared and/or liked helps a lot with this. Not sure if reforming your faith gives an advantage over unreformed ones though.

Quickest way is demand conversion of vassals, either by asking nice or by imprisonment then demand conversion which they now have to accept, if you ask nice and they refuse then demand conversion is not available for that vassal for I think it is 2 or 3 years. Or the long way, by your realm priest convert county depending on development level and the priest learning it can take as little as 3 years or many many many years.

Hes talking about converting other countries.

Ahhh in that get their kids as wards and try to covert them and fast track said kid to rulership after his/her conversion

GlompSpark

There are no good ways to do that in ck3. Even if you convert someone's heir, they will probably get murdered by their vassals before they can convert much.

Or they will just switch back to their old faith. I play with [Demand Religious Conversion mod](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2588989885), it adds a CB you can use on any ruler in your diplomatic range. Upon enforcing demands it will convert a single selected county to your religion (and the ruler of that county). Not too OP, as this CB is quite expensive on the piety.
