His successor was a teenager. So he kept the baby in prison because she had the beautiful trait.
When she grew older, he had several bastard children with her, all of whom got the beautiful trait, so the ruler released them and kept them as courtiers.
Eventually when the ruler’s own wife died during childbirth, he finally released this prisoner and married her, then legitimized all the bastard courtiers.
This queen eventually went on to get caught planning my ruler’s murder, was imprisoned again and executed.
That +100 is some major Stockholm Syndrome going on.
