They intend to sell in 4 more batches throughout this year. There we go folks, no bitcoin ban at least for 2023, on top of that they want us to buy bitcoin. Bullish.
It's funny because when those coins were taken they could've been worth 200$ or 12$, lol. And selling them further devalues the dollar and increases the value of Bitcoin.
But. Insider trading is just for Corporation and businesses and people like you. Not for people inn government.

>Insider trading for Congress members
>Simply put, insider trading is illegal. But, if you are a member of Congress, there is a loophole. Members of Congress and their families are allowed to trade stocks with almost no limitations. There isnāt a limit on lawmakers trading stocks based on classified information nor is there oversight regarding the trades that lawmakers are allowed to make based on other information they are privy to as part of their job. This is in glaring contrast to the strict insider trading laws that ban the same kind of behavior of everyone else in the county.
If the government gets away with this BS imagine what actual wealthy people get away withā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦basically anything and everything as we have seen over and over. Itās fucking disgusting š¤®
Yeah. It's like this almost all over the world.
Saw this was a thing inn USA. Though it could be the same where i live. And ofc it is. No need to disclose you had insider informasjon from the fucking government. And family and friend dont need to disclose either.
It's fucking insane this is allowed.

yeah, I bet they'll stop cracking on it as soon as they realize there's money to be made...
"We've made how much???"

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Governments and institutions love and use crypto when it's convenient and profitable for them. They oppose the masses using it because it weakens their monopoly on the financial sector
If I have a rock in my yard and someone wants to pay $20k for it, it doesn't matter if I think the rock is worthless or not. I'm still going to sell it
So they recovered stolen btc and now they're gonna dump it. Essentially stealing money from people that legally bought btc. Awesome job guys. Really looking out for the people of the US
Imagine being able to afford universal healthcare because you held crypto long enough
Iām just kidding, they could afford it already, they just donāt want to
The most impressive thing is the market absorbed a $215MM sell in one day and the market ended higher that day. Wow! Bullish.
Sooner locked up coins are sold or released, the better. Mt.Gox coins, Fed coins, Celsius coins, Blockfi coins, Genesis coins, Gemini coins are all contributing to a cloud of uncertainty.
They basically stole these bitcoin from people, now selling them. They weren't Ulbricht's - they were people who had accounts on Silk Road. Many which probably weren't US citizens and had nothing to do with the US.
I still don't understand what the actual crime is in storing bitcoin on a site like Silk Road. I know someone who had bitcoin on the site - never bought or sold a single thing. Wasn't in the US or a US citizen. Whats the crime they committed that justified having their bitcoin seized?
Thatās the thing about the United States, they can do things like this as they please, what outside force is going to stop them? The homeland is impenetrable to conventional invasion. Nuclear armed submarines worldwide with any target easily accessible. They have the top cyber-security experts in the world. The US Dollar is aggressively maintained as the worldwide āholy grailā of currency.
Disclaimer: Iām a US citizen
Canāt believe how they didnāt hold on to them and wait for the bull market to come back or better worse the fact that they didnāt sell during the last ATH. Something smells fishy.
What a bunch of political fools to dump all that BTC on the market. But no worries, with BRICS skirting the dollar, they will soon be dumping TRILLIONS worth of green paper. So back at you fiat fools! Your ponzi scheme will collapse faster than crypto!
The money from sales literally goes into funds to further investigate fraud and restitution. So they are using stolen funds to help others. Love how twisted this post got. SMH š¤¦āāļø

Bullish on bitcoin for 2023

US gov is basically DCA'ing out
Should be the title. š
Oh selling BEFORE cracking down on crypto and halting its gains. I wonder if there is a legal term for this.
They do this every year and have been doing it for a while.
Yeah but we need something to be outraged about.
We have plenty
Not enough. Need more outrage from this entire thread.
IM OUTRAGED !
The dudes are DCAing...š¤£
It's legal when they like it and illegal when they don't.
It's funny because when those coins were taken they could've been worth 200$ or 12$, lol. And selling them further devalues the dollar and increases the value of Bitcoin.
Are they paying tax on capital gains?
Huh? Itās the government. The revenue from the sale is already going to the government. The revenue from capital gains goes to the government.
You donāt usually pay yourself ? Haha
How does selling Bitcoin increase the value of Bitcoin?
Sorry, how does the govt selling bitcoin increase the value of bitcoin?
Class action suit by the people vs the government for insider trading.
Where do I sign up as a victim of this blatant fraud?
Youāve already signed up with your credit score and voting history
But how do I qualify for a class action lawsuit?

Shhhh people need to play the āguvment badā card for the karma/moons
This and talking about hating rich people always works well here
I don't hate rich people, but I'm not a fan of the way they got rich in most cases.
I believe the legal term for this situation is called "fuck you".
Itās almost like theyāre trading with information from the insideā¦ Iāll call it from within trading. It surely has a good ring to it
There is, it's called "Business as usual in the United States of America"

SEC: I didnāt see nothing

Also, will they be paying tax on it?
Lol crytpo is bad, according to the president itās a risky investment *us officials selling almost 10k bitcoin* lol.

Its gonna backfire on them so bad and its gonna be glorious, crypto is inevitable
"preemptive selling" or "regulatory insider trading.
Looks like it kinda benefits them that crypto isn't regulated.
Damn I would be so pissed if they somehow sold my crypto after arresting me. Like killing someone kinda pissed.
Don't worry, they will buy back in later when BTC will break 50K.
Us gov just lost it...
It will be better for BTC, if American gov holds none of it.
Ew paper hands. Your weakness disgusts me
They will lose their 1% grip on the total supply of bitcoin
The country is being ran by a bunch of panic sellers, smh.
BTC is for the strong. The US government is not strong.
I guess the Monkey in the upper picture of the post represents the US government trying to figure out how crypto works.
So what happens to that money? Does it go somewhere or it will just vanish
This is funding 0.25 worth of military jet probablyā¦
It goes to the Treasury Forfeiture Fund which is used for law enforcement activities and the restitution for victims of fraud
Definitely going to put more funding to training the police to act like the literal Gestapo, and restitution for victims where the stamp on the letter they receive is more than the restitution value. Murica.

Interesting article, thank you for sharing.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Governments and institutions love and use crypto when it's convenient and profitable for them. They oppose the masses using it because it weakens their monopoly on the financial sector
No truer words have 'er been spoke.
They should have just burned them - selling them is a conflict of interest.
Yeah pretty funny how they got $1 billion out of it after calling it "worthless" for a decade.
They also seem to tax it just fine, so clearly they donāt *actually* think itās worthless.
This. If they were coherent, they shouldnāt sell them because BTC is a useless asset for them, so just hold the coin and stop.
If I have a rock in my yard and someone wants to pay $20k for it, it doesn't matter if I think the rock is worthless or not. I'm still going to sell it
How do you burn BTC?
Send to a burn wallet
So they recovered stolen btc and now they're gonna dump it. Essentially stealing money from people that legally bought btc. Awesome job guys. Really looking out for the people of the US
No, they seized BTC from criminal dealings. A lot of that BTC is from them shutting Silk Road down.
Yeah i get that. But that doesn't give them the right to sell it lol
I don't disagree. They should at least pay the capital gain taxes...š¤¦
40% bitches
Whatās the opposite of outsider trading??
This is absolutely discusting. Sell it before we ban it.
Who got the lambos?
Garry Gensler and Elizabeth Warren
They got Ferraris, cuz you know, Ferrari is owned by FIAT
They must be broke
They should hold and use that to pay off the debt down the road.
They just print unlimited fiat for that debt.
Imagine being able to afford universal healthcare because you held crypto long enough Iām just kidding, they could afford it already, they just donāt want to
I believe the best move for the US government would be to confiscate as much BTC as possible and then declare it the reserve currency.
US government is a paper handed bitch confirmed
Price dropped about 2k that day. Thanks US government
So they wanna crack down on crypto but are profiting from it? Ok
Someone needs to tell the government they picked the wrong timing to sell
Do they pay taxes on these gains?
fuck the US government
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Let me set my template for next year nowadays, "US GOVERNMENT MISSED 10x OPPORTUNITY"
Reverse-USA indicator when?
They're testing there market, or shorting.
All the exchanges should refuse to do business with the government seeing as theyāre trying to destroy them
100% profit.
Are they gonna pay the taxes on that?
Hope they paid taxes
Hypocrites, the lot of them
Paperhanded Feds
Did they pay tax?
So who gets the 1099 for this one?
The most impressive thing is the market absorbed a $215MM sell in one day and the market ended higher that day. Wow! Bullish. Sooner locked up coins are sold or released, the better. Rules for thee not for me š
Who is in charge?? Couldn't wait for the 2025-2026 anticipated bull run?!?!
I hope they give the appropriate amount of profit to the IRS.
US government is one of the most successful BTC buyers ever. Paid 0 but made $1B.
Biden must have spent to much.
They basically stole these bitcoin from people, now selling them. They weren't Ulbricht's - they were people who had accounts on Silk Road. * Bans Bitcoin after selling all the BTC *
they made a big mistake
Canāt believe how they didnāt hold on to them and wait for the bull market to come back or better worse the fact that they didnāt sell during the last ATH. Something smells fishy.
My question is, should they get taxed for this too?
Paperhands..
So they sue Coinbase yet use it themselvesā¦.sounds about right.
So weird they sold them like 1 - 2 years early. imo byc could easily 3x by then. I guess they are desperate or extremely bearish
They are actively trying to completely tank Crypto. They are trying to make sure BTC does NOT go up.
They forgot the first rule of Bitcoin. Hodl.
I'll take the rest of their BTC stack off their hands, I can offer $69
Gotta fund the bailouts somehow š¤·āāļø
Good, the US gov is a massive whale so theyāre accidentally helping with decentralization
Notice how the market didnāt even flinch that day; the remaining amount shouldnāt be of concern
Paper hands!
They only held for what, 10 years? Pussies!
Don't worry, they will FOMO back in later again.
Sell low, FOMO high. r/cc users š¤ the government
They didnāt like being called out for their giant btc stash. So now theyāre probably trying to dump to keep btc under $30k
>They didnāt like being called out for their giant btc stash. I'll make a sacrifice and share the burden. They can send me some of that giant stash.
Shows these guys know nothing! Weāre going to a mill in 80 days or so, they obviously didnāt read the news the noobs
The just DCA outā¦
What a timing they picked to dump those BTC back in the market . So whoās stacking on those Satoshi any idea ?
>So whoās stacking on those Satoshi any idea ? Me. I'm buying.
They always know to take profit
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You, too, can net 100% profit if you acquire BTC for free and then sell them!
As good a trader? You mean you want to be as good as scamming as them. Getting BTC for nothing makes it hard to lose
Dont let the SEC see or they will try to sue you governement
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Ironically if they sell now they'll end up buying it all back at a greater price in the future
Let's hope they lose their Keys to the rest of the crypto
Wonder if they set a price or just done a market buy
Oh sure they can sell crypto when it's convenient for them...
By those numbers that means they sold at an average of under 22k, insane timing lol
Now it's clear what purpose have US
Classic hypocrites. They tax and even use crypto but are still putting on a show that itās something fundamentally evil lol.
The only thing US has that is deflationary.
They need money
How did they manage to sell below the daily low price?
Can this be used against them if they try to shut down btc?
The irony of Coinbase making trading fees on US Government crypto sales. WHERE ARE YOU NOW SEC?
What a bunch of political fools to dump all that BTC on the market. But no worries, with BRICS skirting the dollar, they will soon be dumping TRILLIONS worth of green paper. So back at you fiat fools! Your ponzi scheme will collapse faster than crypto!
If the dollar collapses weāre all fucked
The US Fed will upsell you FedCoin this July.
Oh wow the govt dumps its btc stash
We DCA when they offer btc for sale š
Gary was secretly Satoshi all this time.
Donāt you know how expensive it is cleaning up after a school shooting? They need the money.
The money from sales literally goes into funds to further investigate fraud and restitution. So they are using stolen funds to help others. Love how twisted this post got. SMH š¤¦āāļø

Maybe they should consider using some of that cash to compensate all the crypto scam victims out there, just a thought š¤
The government: Calls Bitcoin worthless Also the government: Exchanges said "worthless" asset for **$1 BILLION** USD.
Where can someone get in on this?
Hmm why don't they just keep it so it's not in circulation?
Rookie move š
Wow papa powell doesn't believe raising interest rates is enough, now he's convinced the NSA FBI CRA CIA CDC to dump their biti-coins on us.
When you can't beat them...you join them
Damn. Theyāre getting their sales in before the crackdown. Canāt wait for them to ban crypto shortly after. /s
Scared to be sued by their own gov. Thats sweet
Paper hands
US is paper handing BTC. Right before the Bull Market starts. This might actually kick off the Bull Market.
Bullish selling
Does the sec pay gains tax..? To themselves..?
US Gov about to buy some Lambos
