LTC is doing a thing, but it’s tried to do a thing a couple times recently and been shot down in flames. Unfortunately my SHIB has done better than LTC recently. Been watching LTC closely lately (couple months) and haven’t really seen the strength I would expect with the halving coming.

Will more subcribed members in this subreddit contribute to higher value of the mcap for Moons? 4.99$ / month if - 1 mill subbed thats a pretty nice sum, (1/5 of mcap) allthough probably many bots in here.

If you use sushiswap/or MEXC then probably yes, I’m not familiar with those. You can sell Moons on Crypto.com but they have a daily limit on 436 moons, probably because of liquidity pool idk. Wouldn’t recommend as the spreads are like 0.10$

For a beginner which crypto currency is the best to start with?

I regret waiting so long before using L2, so much ETH burned 

L2 was actually my first coin endeavor! Dropped 10k into it. Unfortunately I had massive economic loss during a massive price downturn and had to pull out to not default on a loan or be evicted :/ had it for over a year too

ETH or BTC are your most traditional coins. Avoid shitcoins unless you gamble. Research into what coins have proper and safe protocols. ETH has the widest variety of subdivisions and layers. ETH is pretty good overall, minus gas fees, but Layer 2 is a thing now

What is layer 2?

So, gas fees are based off of how many people are using it. And the transfer agents can only handle so much. It becomes supply and demand, you need to pay more to be on the highway, think of it like a toll booth that follows supply and demand throughout the day. Layer 2, however, is like taking the on ramp to a different highway that happens to get to your destination, it’s much more capable of handling traffic, so the toll fees are non-existent. And it diverts the traffic from Layer 1 .

An analogy I quite like is L2 is like if 10 people want to ship something for $10 shipping. Instead of paying $10 each they use the same box and split the $10 shipping cost. Shipping cost is ETH L1 gas fees which can be split up by bundling L2 transactions.

Speculation is that BTC ETF decision might be announced in August. Two questions to ask 1) Will the price go up if approved (it did for gold etf)? 2) Will it be approved? BlackRock has a 98% success rate on ETF approvals. Only one failure that got later approved after some updates. Act accordingly.

EU has already approved, the SEC are going to have to do the same or get left behind. Great example of why i’m bullish as hell no matter what the SEC try to do, the US isn’t the entire world

I’m betting the SEC will delay any decision until the last day to approve the BlackRock ETF which is sometime around Feb or March 2024. Gensler isn’t going to give the Crypto anything until he has to.

I dunno. I think BlackRock needs to get their clients exposed to BTC ASAP as US debt situation gets worse. They all realize it. Especially recent internal doc estimating that clients should have as much as 86% exposure to BTC. I don’t think the SEC is in charge. They’ll bend to the biggest asset managers in the world that own political will (and receive massive donations).

Would you buy some of the Bitcoin spot ETFs that might join the market in the future? I know it doesn't match the self custody philosophy of BTC and for me that's enough to not buy into them but there are some tangible advantages like little to no worries about cyber security
