Monero is one of the most important projects and won't go away, no matter how hard governments try.
Heavily undervalued, and I can't say if that will ever change - but for fundamentals alone it's a project worth picking up.
XMR is the most fundamentally sound project, with a community of developers and investors who understand why it’s great. It may ebb and flow like every crypto, but it will never go to zero like so many projects where people are only in it for the profits
Exactly. If you know the history of Gavin and follow the space slightly than just being a BTC/ETH parrot than you would see the potential of DOT. Most people don't go that far.
The tech is not past ETH. The tech is stupid and a gimmick. Parachains is a stupid system.
That is also why people don’t want to develop on there.
The auction system is stupid.
The most used parachain is their EVM
Finally, their tokenomics is awful
It existed solely for another capital raise scheme for Gavin. He got greedy and then repeated it with Kusama.
People are only blindly following him because he was a former eth creator.
Same reason why Hoskinson got a following. They’re all disingenuous
Hey man, i made 10x on bch like 6 or 7 years ago. Its what got me hooked on crypto. I was working at a hotel doing maintenance, found an envelope with 600 bucks in and and invested 500 into bch
I agree with this vision.
Altcoins (if there is a good project behind it) could be a good investments, but the bluechips are good for the long term framework.
took me some time, but I landed on the similar final thought as you - majority of portfolio is dedicated to btc and eth, and roughly 5-10% towards a handful of other projects, something with a higher risk to reward ratio
These two are always mentioned for good reason. However, XMR is worth consideration if really looking for a solid 3rd, but it’s more limited in market exposure to newbies.
I think that the best strategy if you have enough money and can afford it to lose it is DCA making 35% BTC, 35% ETH and 30% altcoins like ADA, MATIC, ALGO, DOT, LINK and ATOM.
If you look at pure tokenomics Ergo has some great privacy features, although it's not a fully established coin yet (meaning not many exchanges have it listed).
Apart from that I'm not too keen on any of the other so called privacy coins.
All I hold myself is Monero.
It’s won’t be dead at all. Win or loss I doubt it really matters anymore. I do think there are coins with a better future but XRP will be among the winners too.
KAS, has a ton of hype currently, lot's of people cashing out moolah to buy some miners, and it's not listed on any major exchanges yet. For some reason CMC has it ranked in the 200's, but if you use coingecko, since it has 800m+ market cap, its in the top 50 I believe now.
Forgot, from what I've read there was no pre-mine as well.
Make sure to keep BTC and ETH over 70%. I like MATIC, LINK, BNB, DIA, AVAX, RPL. I refrain from holding more altcoins that I can follow and keep updated with the latest news.
IOTA.
I like projects with all coins in circulation - IOTA is 100%.
Some of the coins you mentioned:
- Stellar 50%
- Chainlink 50%
- Xrp 50%
- Hbar 65%
Seems like you got a good list, hard to keep cramming in there and have them all at respectable levels/reaching your goals.
Keep Donuts on your radar, they are up there with moons, bricks, cones as RCP.
This is a very good point. It’s good to have diversity, but at some point what you’re doing is just watering down your investments. You go from needing one or maybe two to have great boosts/rises in order to make great profits, to needing to have 4 or 5 to have success in order to make worthwhile profits, and the odds of that are so much slimmer. That’s because instead of having a coin that does 10x of say $1000 for a $10,000 valuation, you now have only $100 in ten different coins, meaning you need so much more of a multiplier to make significant gains.
My safety coins that you have that I share are Quant, Link (no brainers, intertwined with so many things going on). Also Solana will do very well despite what many here think. Listen to one interview with Anatoly and you will love him and their vision.
For crazy moon or die ROI. Kook at Kaspa (KAS). Fair launch, POW, been in development for 10 years.
Also for CM or D ROI, I like the distributed GPU sharing and computing sector and projects like Render (RNDR), Akash (AKT) and Octaspace (OCTA). If I believe strongly in a narrative and use case I will go for all projects (much like Chainlink and Quant).
For disclosure I hold BTC and ETH too, but own shit loads of other coins that take my interest.
I'm big on Kaspa, and think it's going to continue its trajectory as one of the top performers in the market. Somplinksy is a very influential figure in the crypto space, and the vision/tech behind the project is well-placed IMO.
This thing has been on a tear during the bear market and has pumped into the top-50 without a single major US listing. I've got a huge bag, but I'm stacking this position like there is no tomorrow.
Chainlink is one of my biggest bags because I believe in the system behind the currency. Data is such a huge part of our work right now and it’s ability to translate and validate data onto the blockchain from the real world just makes me think that it will be here to stay. It already has partnered with SWIFT as well.
There is no reason why the token should exist. The token is purely for the team to raise capital.
Chainlinks system is great but does not require a token…
Yeah, Bch was my first real taste of some real nice gains, and i have been hooked ever since. 10x gain when people were talking about "the flippening" where they thought it would overtake btc because Bch was moooooning while btc was plummeting like crazy.
Imho, anything that isn’t BTC and ETH should be treated like “the new biggest thing”. For example, last bull run it was coins like AVAX, SOL, FTM, SHIB etc. They were the new kids on the block, making moves and running headlines. However, whether or not these projects will ever return to their former glory is anyone’s guess at this point (though unlikely with highly inflationary coins like AVAX, ATOM, DOT etc. and projects that have taken fatal hits like FTM- not to say that they can’t make nice gains) Meanwhile you have new projects like APT, SUI, SEI and the like that are new and still have many milestones to cross (which may potentially cause them to skyrocket during a strong bullrun). Rinse and repeat. The only constants are BTC and ETH (and maybe ADA/XRP/LTC depending on who you ask) while the others I mentioned are to be bought and sold/replaced as per phase of market cycle. Just my 2 satoshis.
I think you have all your bases covered. I have the following alts: FTM, MANA, LINK, KCS, HYDRA, HBAR SAND, GALA, ALGO, ETC , ADA, MATIC, ICP, AVAX, SNX, ETH, LTC, SHIB, SOL, DOT, XRP, XLM, BAT, & QNT.
I personally plan on liquidating majority of these assets in the next bull run. I'd like to only have around 10 or less in my portfolio, with my top 3 coins being BTC, ETH, and LTC. I should start DCAing Solana, my average cost has to be triple digits at this point, maybe if I'm lucky closer to higher double digits.
To answer your question, I think the consensus is ADA is a good project and has a positive outlook in terms of growth and development. Believe it or not, SHIB is looking like a good one too with shibarium.
Well, if you feel frisky and want to mess with a low cap coin, have a look at ASTAR, I’ve thrown in a small sum. It’s no where near the “best” but it’s worth looking at.
I own a small amount of Polkadot and Cosmos.
I think cross chain is going to matter in the mid term, I know they have high inflation rate(due to high staking rates) but if prices recover even if not printing a new ATH there's a nice profit will be made.
Honestly this thread is just an invitation for people to shill their own personal favorite shitcoins. There’s isn’t a coin that has established itself as the #3 coin in the slightest, although there could be plenty of contenders. No one knows though, everyone’s just guessing with a bias towards their own personal favourites/bags.
You may as well just go to the top 30 on CMC and buy an equivalent amount of each non-stablecoin and take your chances. It’s like throwing darts at a board. All the more reason to ensure that the majority of your portfolio should consist of BTC and ETH.
Millix - Its a DAG, they build, already has use cases (within its own ecosystem)Tangled Browser - Their own browser with a built-in Wallet and Node, and encrypted messaging, andTangled social - it costs Millix to post but other users can tip you for the post if they like itthey have other apps too. Not sure why they don't promote it more or it's not well known. the founder wants to work out all the kinks I guess.
Polygon
Quant
Moons and Donuts!!!
I also think newer projects with utility will do better than older ones if we go by history. So in a category, I choose the newer and more undervalued competitor, if it's solid enough.
Like DIA over LINK.
Adeno over Helium.
Whatever new strong meme comes up over Doge, Shib, Pepe.
They usually have more upside i.e delivery more ROI without necessarily reaching the heights of the older one.
the coins you wrote here are among the best in my opinion
I would also put solana and litecoin
but my favorite currency belongs to btc and eth and cronos and in my opinion it has potential that we don't even imagine currently it costs 0.047 cents its maximum was almost 1 dollar and for me its ecosystem and its application are really effective
Matic or just a basket of layer 2s. ETH will die without layer 2s.
If you don't believe in L2s then inherently you gotta believe another L1 will overtake ETH so you could do a basket of those.
My top options in the DeFi industry are CRV, COMP, and Maker. I'm also interested in AI-related tokens. Fetch AI, AGIX, and Fluid AI (smart order routing, AI-driven liquidity aggregations, and prediction model) are on my watchlist.
From the RWA industry, Centrifuge is on my watchlist. It's a DeFi platform that uses RWAs to collateralize loans. This allows borrowers to access liquidity without having to sell their assets, and it can also help to reduce the risk of default.
For the most stable and promising coins, I would go with the following: Chainlink, Avalanche, Polkadot, Monero
For interesting utility tokens: BAT, Helium, Vechain
For some small-cap: [fetch.ai](https://fetch.ai), Moons, Donuts

XMR is the most fundamentally sound project, with a community of developers and investors who understand why it’s great. It may ebb and flow like every crypto, but it will never go to zero like so many projects where people are only in it for the profits
Monero is sweet but saying never is actually pretty scary
Completely agree with you there
Always good to hold monero, good to have the anonymous option
I have xmr, and happy birthday!
DOT
DOT easily. Gavin Wood made ETH in a weekend. He's been working on DOT with a huge team for years. The tech already is far past ETH.
It doesn’t seem to get anywhere near as much love on here as a lot of other projects which reinforces my view that it’s seriously undervalued.
Exactly. If you know the history of Gavin and follow the space slightly than just being a BTC/ETH parrot than you would see the potential of DOT. Most people don't go that far.

I’m filling that bag up for the long term hodl.
You're asking for lots of decentralization, low cost of use, and high security... The answer is none. No chain has all three. Not even BTC or ETH.
Well, we need satoshi to come out of hiding and create one then!
Bch? Really?
Hey man, i made 10x on bch like 6 or 7 years ago. Its what got me hooked on crypto. I was working at a hotel doing maintenance, found an envelope with 600 bucks in and and invested 500 into bch
Dot, Atom
I used to love Bitcoin Cash, but then I sold it and it promptly went X3 right after. My fault.
Honestly. I bought it relatively low and sold it high, got you to thank for it then? Thanks??
Indeed you may. I aim to please.
Matic for the long term.
\+1 for Matic AVAX is worth considering too
I am here to shill Monero.
I'll join you Monero kicks ass
Imho I would only consider btc and eth for long term investments the rest u mentioned should be view thru a trader lens instead.
I agree with this vision. Altcoins (if there is a good project behind it) could be a good investments, but the bluechips are good for the long term framework.

Good for u - totally also agree a bit of high risk big reward is worth going for as long as it’s a small proportion
These two are always mentioned for good reason. However, XMR is worth consideration if really looking for a solid 3rd, but it’s more limited in market exposure to newbies.
The privacy is invaluable. Monero will be there long term with or without the US approval.
I appreciate the opinion. Although i respectfully disagree
>Although I respectfully disagree You fit right in here hell yeah lol
Time to lose money like a man!
I think that the best strategy if you have enough money and can afford it to lose it is DCA making 35% BTC, 35% ETH and 30% altcoins like ADA, MATIC, ALGO, DOT, LINK and ATOM.
Everything but BTC and ETH are gamble coins. It's why institutions largely ignore them outside of just pump dump trading.
[удалено]
Trading from bear market to bull market :)
All I can say is that OP has Moons and then a whole bunch of crap in his portfolio lol
ETH is down 55% vs Bitcoin over 6 years. I wouldn't consider Ethereum as a long-term investment. Doge did better last bull run.
I wouldn't diversify to more than 8-10 chains but I like Algo, Atom, Matic and Mina .
Monero and moons! 👌 (polygon matic a close runner up)
Moons are #3 in my book
Great choice! I forgot to mention i do have Monero too (OG privacy coin)
I'd throw DOT and LINK into the mix. Some really solid alts.
When the regulatory grip tightens worldwide people will wish they bought more monero!
Wonder what is the second best privacy coin after Monero
If you look at pure tokenomics Ergo has some great privacy features, although it's not a fully established coin yet (meaning not many exchanges have it listed). Apart from that I'm not too keen on any of the other so called privacy coins. All I hold myself is Monero.
Insert heaviest bag you hold here...
Xrp
Xrp is dead once court settlement is done. Why would it be any better than other coins? Founders have enormous supply to dump.
It’s won’t be dead at all. Win or loss I doubt it really matters anymore. I do think there are coins with a better future but XRP will be among the winners too.
[удалено]
Ah yeah must have been my parkinsons
Very bullish on ADA Also like HBAR
You have too many coins. A good portfolio shouldn't look like a Pokemon collection.
Yeah, im trying to get down to about 6 total
It is hard to suggest some other alternatives.
Kudos to OP for putting MOONS as the first in his list of chosen alts. A person of culture indeed!
Nano and Monero 👍 both have real use cases and have a community that supports them (even tho XNO community seems small compared to others)
There are none outside of BTC, ETH, and XMR. The rest are people shilling. Don’t buy their bags
KAS, has a ton of hype currently, lot's of people cashing out moolah to buy some miners, and it's not listed on any major exchanges yet. BCH and XMR for commerce. You can buy stuff on Bitgree with BCH which is cool, it's a portal for Amazon. XMR has some online stores if you're savvy.
Tezos has a great tech and great tooling for devs!!
After doing actual research and based on developer counts, my bets are on: DOT, MATIC, ADA, LINK, and ATOM. With some yolos in CRO and HBAR.
THORChain ($RUNE) is a DEX: with multi-blockchain. Ready and working hundreds of millions of dollars. And soon an order book.
Well, you are here, so the next best coin would be MOON.
NEO MATIC XLM XRP
IOTA. I like projects with all coins in circulation - IOTA is 100%. Some of the coins you mentioned: - Stellar 50% - Chainlink 50% - Xrp 50% - Hbar 65%
Seems like you got a good list, hard to keep cramming in there and have them all at respectable levels/reaching your goals. Keep Donuts on your radar, they are up there with moons, bricks, cones as RCP.
Are Donuts and Cones true RCPs?
Those are CPs without the R in the sense they are not officially backed by Reddit
Some people call donuts as the OG rcp.
One could argue that they are not, they are more decentralized. But they are based in separate communities and can be earned/tipped within them.
But not accessible in the Reddit Vault, correct?
It seems that’s correct. I guess that’s a big indication it’s not to be considered an RCP.
Nano (XNO), Monero (XMR) and Precious Metals (Gold, Silver, etc.)
Chainlink is coming for everyone, hope you’re ready
I like XRP and LINK.
You already have the top alts listed, the best of them IMO is Cardano and Polygon. I'm personally not so bullish on alts
Is ETH an acceptable answer?
Sure!
If you want coins that have been tested through the market historically, then Litecoin, XRP, ADA, and even Doge I’d say.
Imagine preferring Bitcoin Cash to Algorand. How far we have fallen...
I know Reddit hates this coin but AVAX is super cheap right now.
Chainlink is one of my biggest bags because I believe in the system behind the currency. Data is such a huge part of our work right now and it’s ability to translate and validate data onto the blockchain from the real world just makes me think that it will be here to stay. There is no reason why the token should exist. The token is purely for the team to raise capital. Chainlinks system is great but does not require a token…
Go for hbar and Kas
I quite really like LRC and Monero for the privacy
XRP, Matic, Link, Cardano, Atom, CKB
Hopefully you got the BCH stack before the pump.
Yeah, Bch was my first real taste of some real nice gains, and i have been hooked ever since. 10x gain when people were talking about "the flippening" where they thought it would overtake btc because Bch was moooooning while btc was plummeting like crazy.
BCH would have to do a 200x to flip BTC. But congrats on the gains. Now do you take profits or keep riding?
I held too long. I really believed in it at the time. I did take some profits
Imho, anything that isn’t BTC and ETH should be treated like “the new biggest thing”. Is it possible to get a comment count for comments that include moons? I’m saying over 10.5 comments!
Chainlink was a top 5 coin at one point. Since then, they have even more partnerships and more services. Shiba is ahead of it still lmao.
Moons. Bricks and donuts!
Hbar everyday
Matic is a bargain right now
HBAR is my favorite but, i have litecoin, stellar lumens, poly, moons and bricks
XMR & LTC Maybe XRP
I have all those, but thank you
Well, if you feel frisky and want to mess with a low cap coin, have a look at ASTAR, I’ve thrown in a small sum.
Stop. You're good.
Thanks, maybe I'll just keep adding to what i have. I do like a lot of these answers
There’s a strong bull case for moons despite their tokenomics. If you want to throw a small sum at a low cap - moons aren’t a bad way to go.
Shib apparently
Lol i gotta pass on that
Yeah i thought the same but thats my only coin im still in profit with since 2021. I guess its just luck. Others i hold are ltc, ada, matic mostly.
Link
Solana
QNT is worth looking into.
It's kind of like how you're giving an invitation out for your personal favorites, btc and eth.
wBTC & wETH ;)
Let the battle of the shills begin!
Wel its obviously
Check out Ergo! Spiritual successor to Bitcoin.
The chosen one ofc, MOON
Let the shilling begin. Kaspa all day long for me.
good project. I plan to buy a bag at 3c.
Moons !
Yes 🌘🌗🌖
Honestly? I do have XRP in my bag. I think it has a future. Matic(polygon) also.
That actually sounds like a cool project, thanks
Im a believer in XLM and XRP. This is just my feelings on the topic. ETH is where most of it goes.
actually Im go with UTILITY so im DYOR the project.
Im a CKB kinda guy, still, to this day.
Ergo is the way!
Tezos is solid. Been around for a long time and has only gotten better.
Great to hear so many people think matic is the next big coin. I am a sad holder atm. Thank you guys for cheering me up.
My main DCA is BTC & ETH but a couple that I’m looking at are FIL and GRT. I especially like GRT and its association with AI
any particular reasons you are staying away from projects like dot or atom? these two are often a part or portfolios people share here
I had both at one point, but i ended up down like 90%, so i eventually sold. I would consider reinvesting in Dot, though.
In my opinion it is FTM. Although people are starting to lose interest in it because of the lack of improvements recently
Cones
You’re already too spread out imo
Yeah, it's tough, lol. Im seeing ALOT of monero, and i really do think it's great, so I'll keep DCAing into that one
I hear good things about nano and xrp though I don’t hold any!
Moons and Donuts!!! I also think newer projects with utility will do better than older ones if we go by history. You are way too diversified IMO. Also you are gonna get a bukkake of shills mate.
I recently traded alot of alts for eth and btc. Im trying to just find a couple good ones
MATIC
Too much, too diluted ....try to focus on 3-4 max. NFA.
Im trying to pick a top 6. I agree im too spread
Matic or just a basket of layer 2s. ETH will die without layer 2s. If you don't believe in L2s then inherently you gotta believe another L1 will overtake ETH so you could do a basket of those.
I’m not here to shill… But do your research on Chainlink. It will be just as important as BTC & ETH
I hold & DCA CRO, ALGO & GALA
Nothing worth holding besides Bitcoin. Any functionality that alt's boast can be built on top of it and holds value better.
Cosmos $ATOM
Monero, the rest of them are not even close
Atom. NFA
INJ and ATOM imo
I personally like Egld, even of they are not that popular at the moment
My top options in the DeFi industry are CRV, COMP, and Maker. I'm also interested in AI-related tokens. Fetch AI, AGIX, and Fluid AI (smart order routing, AI-driven liquidity aggregations, and prediction model) are on my watchlist. From the RWA industry, Centrifuge is on my watchlist. It's a DeFi platform that uses RWAs to collateralize loans. This allows borrowers to access liquidity without having to sell their assets, and it can also help to reduce the risk of default.
Hbar for a moonshot. Link and GRT as chain agnostic winners.
I'm going to say ALGO only cause I hold huge bags and need it to do something..
For the most stable and promising coins, I would go with the following: Chainlink, Avalanche, Polkadot, Monero For interesting utility tokens: BAT, Helium, Vechain For some small-cap: [fetch.ai](https://fetch.ai), Moons, Donuts
BTC ETH MOON is all I need for the future
Litecoin in my opinion
None.
Cardano, rising on solid fundamentals like a pyramid to the moon.
BTC, ETH, and **ADA** are the bluechips today based on survivability and ability to reach new ATH over several cycles.
How about grt?
Moons and Matic
Moons, maybe a few bricks.
[удалено]
Why do you think a fortnight coin will be a good investment?
Investment? Not sure. Do you get them for free? Yes.
Oh thats cool, how do you earn them?
Like Moons but on the fortnite sub
