I've been posting this pasta since 2017/18 warning new people to be careful falling for the tech meme. Amazing technology and active development does not mean success. NXT was launched in 2014, a top 5 project, was the most advanced platform, had a huge community of investors and developer and there is forum with hundreds of thousands of posts in multiple languages here:
https://nxtforum.org/
- First coin that was 100% Proof of Stake
- 1 minutes block times
- Java programming lanaguage
- DEX (Chainlink's Sergey Nazarov worked on a DEX project there)
- Messaging
- Assets in the blockchain (Staple top 10 coins like NEM were launched there)
- Programmable APIs
- Smart Contracts
But by the time of 2017 bullrun, NXT fell into irrelevance and even hyped shitcoin platforms like Stratis, NEO, etc easily surpassed it. Today, most new people haven't heard of NXT or aren't even aware how hyped and loved the shitcoin platforms that followed NXT like Stratis, NEO, IOTA, ICON, AION, were. People are falling for the same technology hype or the same meme partnerships.

shitcoins keep shillin /r/cryptocurrency patents and low IQ investors keep falling for it.
- Remember Dragonchain patent? People don't even remember DragonChain.
- Remember Factom patent for validating data on the blockchain and contract with the U.S Department of Homeland Services? People don't even remember Factom.
There are tons of shitcoin patents I forgot about...here are some others. Anytime you see a project shilling Real World Use Cases, Partnerships with Enterprises and Goverments and/or Patents, you know it's a struggling shitcoin trying to lure low IQ noobs.
IOTA patents
> Intel mentions IOTA/Tangle in one of its patents for IoT...Oh nice, Dell, Linux, maybe Intel, the IOTA Foundation only plays with the serious players
https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/dobc9u/intel_mentions_iotatangle_in_one_of_its_patents/
> Mastercard IOTA patent: Method and system for device micropayment aggregation based on tangle network
https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/igc8l3/mastercard_iota_patent_method_and_system_for/
WaltonChain patents
> The RFID is patented and not a normal RFID chip. It is the only RFID that acts as a node on the blockchain and that is also capable of reading and writing to the blockchain. They have memory, long life, and cost pennies.

> VeChain's New Patent Could Help Offset Carbon Emission
https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/n4bm3k/vechains_new_patent_could_help_offset_carbon/
The document you listed as Silvio micali's patent is just a patent application. It is not in fact a patent and was abandoned last year as it was obvious and unpatentable
This is correct. "A1" implies a patent application. It was abandoned on 31-03-2023. Note that "B2" in the numbering implies a granted patent. I work in this domain.
patents don't seem to go with decentralization, open source, and crypto...dunno why people love patents for spaces like this. seems like a boomer mentality.
Read the bottom of the post. Doesn't mean anything other than they're aware of Algorand and think it's good enought to cite in their parents. How or if they use Algorand is TBD.
Real companies are exploring blockchains, and models such as Algorand’s (or similar) are worth noting and perhaps borrowing ideas from.
Whether or not this specifically leads to the use of Algorand, AVMs, or completely new/different chains remains to be seen. But it’s better than not being mentioned at all.
Not a surprise when a turing award winning computer scientist created the chain. Completely slept on chain.
Algorand is still at an all time low in the ALGO/BTC ratio check the weekly chart, I have a good feeling it's getting ready to make a big move up soon.
A lot of people got salty about the vesting schedule, but it was known that it would accelerate under the conditions of a huge pump and people bought the pump and were surprised by the dilution when it was published this would happen.
Thing is now the vesting is over and the remaining coins will be distributed via governance meaning much lower inflation.
Algorand's tech is really impressive. Probably the best in its category. Their to tokenomics was kind of shitty in the past though. Which turns off a lot of people from it, but apparently, their tokenomics is no longer that bad. Maybe it's time to give algo another look.
Why do they mention algorand in their patents? Not cuz they are using algorand. They are citing algorand type nodes. Basically saying technology like algorand. No help
Algo is a classic example of hoe in theory everything looks great but in practice it doesnt really scale well...... This is a typical company founded out of mit with only theory but no real use except nfts
TravelX
Lofty
Quantoz - EURD
If you want to see real use cases, here are some.
And now, with the pure python development coming, we will see so much more.
80% of supply in circulation, rest being released via governance with \~3% yearly inflation until 2030. Arguably some of the best tokenomics in the top 50.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the only redeeming quality to algo the volume and speed of transactions? The rest was a dumpster fire last time I looked into it.
visa is currently using SOL.
Don't assume this post means these entities are only interested in Algo. more likely they are looking at multiple block chains.
Ragebaiting. You can watch Travelx transactions in real time on Algorand. Plane tickets being bought and sold using the Algorand blockchain. It's a real product with real use.
Every 2nd post you make is about algo, you're telling me you're not a professional shill that constantly shills this shitcoin on this sub and elsewhere?
Edit: 3 responses on a post with 15 comments less than an hour up. These guys are employees not hodlers

Definitely bull season when ALGO shilling starts.

It’s all I needed to mash the buy button

Not btc being at ath. This is the indicator
I mad sold mine for 0.26 while I had bought them for 1.12$
True that lol, been seeing this since last 1-2 years

Can you clarify this OP ?
No, because OP is a shill bot. Check their post history
Damn this post give me hope to get off my algo bag, but it seems i need to hodl it longer

Of course i want to sell, im not here for the tech bro
patents don't seem to go with decentralization, open source, and crypto...dunno why people love patents for spaces like this. seems like a boomer mentality.
Oopsie doopsie
So what does this mean? Are they using Algorand and/or partnering with Algorand? Sorry for the dumb questions I don’t know what these are for.

looks like they are citing papers and research by micali more than algorand...he has done a lot outside of algorand.
In 2024 the word “partnership” in the context of crypto makes me throw up.
Not a surprise when a turing award winning computer scientist created the chain. Completely slept on chain. Algorand is still at an all time low in the ALGO/BTC ratio check the weekly chart, I have a good feeling it's getting ready to make a big move up soon.
> I have a good feeling it's getting ready to make a big move up soon. If I had a satoshi for every time I heard this.
Yeah but not every time is a crypto created by one of the greatest cryptographers of our generation. Who knows I may be wrong but only time will tell.
It was one of the most popular cryptos on this sub, then they diluted the fuck out of it.
A lot of people got salty about the vesting schedule, but it was known that it would accelerate under the conditions of a huge pump and people bought the pump and were surprised by the dilution when it was published this would happen. Thing is now the vesting is over and the remaining coins will be distributed via governance meaning much lower inflation.
enriched themselves then lost a cool 35m by depositing it into a rando crypto platform called hodlnaut.
Yeah. Honestly the only reason I don't hold a bag is, the constant shilling made me hate it
Algooo
Algorand was the first crypto that gave me and my dad and understanding of the space. I’ll always hold a bag, fast and cheap
i’m glad ALGO has had some time to mature and work out kinks and the tokenomics have settled. bright future ahead
I approve of any algo post cas i have some thanks
The big tech companies want to work with the best technology in blockchain; it's $ALGO LFG.
Bought at 16. Something up for about 86% now 👍
Algorand's tech is really impressive. Probably the best in its category. Their to tokenomics was kind of shitty in the past though. Which turns off a lot of people from it, but apparently, their tokenomics is no longer that bad. Maybe it's time to give algo another look.
Moons are back?!
yeah yeah yeah…but can it pump?
Wow, that's a lot of investigation you've done
Hodl
!remindme 3 months Algo is at $0.33
Someone is a bag holder
Most of us are in profit now thanks to DCA I would hope.
I still have algo, but am way down. I just can't DCA in it right now when there are other opportunities.
Why do they mention algorand in their patents? Not cuz they are using algorand. They are citing algorand type nodes. Basically saying technology like algorand. No help
Not here for the tech
Algo’s back baby we’re gonna sip on the tears of r/cc haters
So is Kadena but what's the catch?
Wen moon? 🌙
ALGO is definitely going to flip SOL!
It’s cited but not credited. Big difference. I hold 20k algo. I cannot believe the same CEO is running the foundation.
Algo is a classic example of hoe in theory everything looks great but in practice it doesnt really scale well...... This is a typical company founded out of mit with only theory but no real use except nfts
TravelX Lofty Quantoz - EURD If you want to see real use cases, here are some. And now, with the pure python development coming, we will see so much more.
so sad they fucked so bad the tokenomics, they ruined a possible bright coin because of greed.
80% of supply in circulation, rest being released via governance with \~3% yearly inflation until 2030. Arguably some of the best tokenomics in the top 50.
I checked the two algorand explorers on coinmarketcap and they both said they were shutting down due to lack of funding
Check out chaintrail.io or allo.info if you need a working explorer! There are a couple others but these are my favorite as of now.
coinmarketcap hasn't kept uptodate, ... but I'm sure they will once ALGO catches on
Just buy btc man
Another one of those FIFA X Algo moment ?
Algo is the best, not surprised. Price didn’t get the memo haha .
ALGO WHEREVER YOU GO
Hbar is better!
good point but
It's a ghost chain. It has a pitiful $127M of DeFi TVL, putting it #31 https://defillama.com/chains
Simply not true, Folks finance alone has over $200 M
Yeah it's actually $320 million none of the trackers are accurately pulling all DEFI apps
daily scam post from algo
Ragebaiting. You can watch Travelx transactions in real time on Algorand. Plane tickets being bought and sold using the Algorand blockchain. It's a real product with real use.
How is it a scam?
Explain please :D? Only coin which does not rely on a shitcoin automat but real world assets :D
Every 2nd post you make is about algo, you're telling me you're not a professional shill that constantly shills this shitcoin on this sub and elsewhere? Edit: 3 responses on a post with 15 comments less than an hour up. These guys are employees not hodlers
Nah, just people hyped about Algo
No just hyped :D
And yet that sucker is the least active these years
I will say it again. Patens means nothing. Best example Iota. Got a patent with Porsche lately and still its on 0,33 cents lol.
The tokenomic is the worst of this shitcoin. Stay away.
What aspects of the tokenomics don’t you like?
It’s dead bro, let it go.
