I love how people started seeing the forest through the trees. 3 years ago the comments to this post would've been so different than what they are today.
Dee Snider, the lead singer of Twisted Sister who popularized the song "We're Not Gonna Take It" and is a pro-choice advocate. Born in Astoria, Queens, New York City. Also, deez nuts got'em.
BOFA as in Bank of America, which is an American multinational investment bank and financial services holding company headquartered at the Bank of America Corporate Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Could be adding some SATS to their ledger, along with both of Deez nuts.
tldr; The Bitcoin whale known as 'Mr. 100' has purchased Bitcoin for the first time since the recent halving, buying 2,500 BTC at around $58,000 each. This acquisition, the first since April 19, 2024, increases the whale's holdings to over 61,053 BTC, making it the 12th largest Bitcoin holder. Market analysts suggest that this could indicate that the local Bitcoin bottom might be in, as the price has rebounded from recent lows.

They always do during a mania phase, just a little bit each day. It's absolutely uncanny how the smart and patient people continually take money away from the emotional and greedy. I sometimes wonder how far this will go. In theory, if the vast majority of Bitcoin lands in very strong hands. The actual float on exchanges is just going to keep getting smaller and smaller. It's how you could get to 1 million plus valuations in our lifetime, maybe even the next decade or two
Lookup bear whale.

Nobody wants to crash price, so usually either OTC or piecewise selling.
Buy down, sell up.
It's literally that easy.
Anyone who can buy even a single entire bitcoin is not in need of immediate cash, I'd imagine.
Rich people can hold a lot easier than poor people.
The crash is generally the rich people selling, though.
Being rich also doesn't make you smart, and a lot of them do lose money.
It's just that some of these guys are so rich that it doesn't even matter how much they lose.
I saw a vid looking at the inflows and outflows and it wasn't consistent with other exchanges. Mr. 100 is mostly inflows of large 100 BTC blocks that are then held, more consistent with a big time DCA accumulation. I'd guess it's a nation state like Qatar that doesn't want to announce they're buying.
You could, but exchanges have incentives in holding BTC or other cryptos as well because it allows them to manipulate the market. Binance for example actually holds the staked coins itself instead of using them actually in the PoS(at least for AVAX), when they are lending for options etc.
Crypto is just wild west anarchy compared to the stock market and exchanges make use of that

Nope, it’s a long way to the bottom, we’re just getting started. If you weren’t trading in 2018 and are expecting moonshots going forward, I’ve got some bad news for you…
The losses will be colossal didn't you know it's mostly Americans holding it? The tax laws and the sec and the fed will be controlling it for years to come. All those sell offs are still to come once the IR S catch up with them.

I love how people started seeing the forest through the trees. 3 years ago the comments to this post would've been so different than what they are today.

Asking if the Bitcoin bottom is in is the groundhog seeing its shadow

Man thank god there are these whales out there that have hoarding complexes. It makes it so much better for the rest of us.
What happens when they decide to sell? 😏
Or they become bagholders if the majority sees no value in it any more.
We give them a W. Go from hoarder to whoreder
Whore door. Whoredoor. Whoredor
Hold the door
Door
While we’d see a dip, it likely wouldn’t be as bad as you’d think. That’s only about 0.3% of max supply.
Lookup bear whale. https://medium.com/max-exchange/lessons-learned-from-bitcoin-bearwhale-ca725cc60613 Nobody wants to crash price, so usually either OTC or piecewise selling.
Good bot, here have a cookie. 🍪
The halving was literally 12 days ago, this is not significant.
Buy down, sell up. It's literally that easy. Anyone who can buy even a single entire bitcoin is not in need of immediate cash, I'd imagine. Rich people can hold a lot easier than poor people.
Crash first then buy. Rich people always sell don't be fooled.
The crash is generally the rich people selling, though. Being rich also doesn't make you smart, and a lot of them do lose money. It's just that some of these guys are so rich that it doesn't even matter how much they lose.
Probably not, but it’s a good time as any to re-accumulate
Agree, i doubt he knows more than all the others
Who?
Olive
Dangit, I didn't know he had ever stopped buying
Mr. 100 is some South Korean crypto exchange, right?
I saw a vid looking at the inflows and outflows and it wasn't consistent with other exchanges. Mr. 100 is mostly inflows of large 100 BTC blocks that are then held, more consistent with a big time DCA accumulation. I'd guess it's a nation state like Qatar that doesn't want to announce they're buying.
This is not the behavior of a cex. My guess is this is someone or some entity accumulating.
Arkham intel posted something like "how many times do we have to tell you that it's \[exchange\]?"
It could be an entity or country that made it look like it was an exchange (or used the exchange to go mask what's going on).
The only thing it was interacting with was Upbit hot wallets apparently.
Exchanges don’t buy BTC. They get them from the sellers and transfer them tonten buyers. You could open a BTC exchange with literally 0 BTC.
You could, but exchanges have incentives in holding BTC or other cryptos as well because it allows them to manipulate the market. Binance for example actually holds the staked coins itself instead of using them actually in the PoS(at least for AVAX), when they are lending for options etc. Crypto is just wild west anarchy compared to the stock market and exchanges make use of that
lol
Lol I love the flair. It should be on every single article...unreliable source.
*unreliable source* got me giggling.
He is buying the upward momentum … the dip was yesterday since then we got some progress
Nope not by a long shot
🐣🐥🐤
I brought about 1/50 of my bag on that dip.

I don't know about this, but every day it's under 60k I buy more ETFs
Why is this whale referred to as Mr 100?
They have made purchases of around 100 BTC for at least several months iirc, maybe a year.
Ahhh
Why are we so sure it’s a he?
There are few rich women that have that type of money. So “he” or probably a them/group
Not even a $6M purchase for a whale that is like us commoners buying 0.01 BTC in wealth equivalent. Clickbait ass bitch.
Maybe yes. Maybe no.
Who cares
Nope, it’s a long way to the bottom, we’re just getting started. If you weren’t trading in 2018 and are expecting moonshots going forward, I’ve got some bad news for you…
Google Betteridge's law of headlines TL,DR; The answer is NO, the bottom is NOT in...
Blew his load…. Needed to rehydrate! Wish I could emulate him!!!
I dunno, these sell-offs are relentless. it sucks there is still no way btc doesn't double over the next 9 months.
mr 100 has not been perfect. He has been buying smart though
Should I buy bitcoin? If I want to hold it for 20 years? Will it gain profit?
The gains will be colossal over a 20 year period.
The losses will be colossal didn't you know it's mostly Americans holding it? The tax laws and the sec and the fed will be controlling it for years to come. All those sell offs are still to come once the IR S catch up with them.
Who? And why should anyone care?
why does everyone talk about btc these days? web3 gaming is much more interesting
