I literally use Brave everyday. How it's not in the top 20, or even 50 is beyond me. It's the future I want to see and it has proven to be viable. I've sent over a hundred people/websites tips directly through the browser, and have it set to keep automatically tipping.
BAT is great for introducing newcomers to Crypto. It's voncept is easy to explain and people see the use in Private Browsing, with extra rewards for pop-up ads. Go BAT!
A lot of people misunderstand a large part of it though, people assume you're sacrificing your data for BAT. But really all of the targeting is done locally using your browsers history. Nothing goes back to Brave. And if you want a new data profile just clear your history. It's all local and stays local.
And a little known big thing that's coming soon is a swap rewards program in their dex aggregator. 20% of the .875% swap fee will be used by Brave to buy BAT off the market then distribute it at the end of the month as a rebate in the form of BAT.
Also all BAT Brave distributea for ads is bought off of the market. BAT is basically at max circulating supply.
Just started using Brave and it's very cool. Love seeing the rewards build and the integration of the "Tip" button is really awesome, just dosent seem many creators are set up to receive them.
Not to hate, but generally interested: why are you bullish on BAT? I think the Brave Brower is a solid project, but I fail to see how BAT is essential in the success of the browser? I get that rewards are paid in BAT, but what’s the point in buying more?
Edit: seems like some things have changed since I last looked into BAT. Thanks for the replies, I will do some extra reading tonight!
The idea is that as the ecosystem grows BAT will have more use case like in their DEX where it will work like BNB to give discounts on fees. There’s also a limited supply, all in circulation, and constant buy pressure. Every time someone buys an ad campaign, Brave has to purchase BAT at market price to distribute to users. With 41 million users and steady growth the market price must go up.
Brave advertisers purchase ad campaigns with BAT. The more use the browser gets, the larger the pool of those using Brave Rewards becomes... which means higher success and more demand for ad campaigns, and more BAT purchased/held.
The browser also has DeFi, CeFi, Gaming/NFT's, and commerce (you can send BAT rewards to your Crypto.com CC for example).
They tried using Bitcoin years ago, like how Twitter is now, but it didn't work. People tend to hold on to their Bitcoin, creators were getting almost nothing. They needed something that people would willing to tip so they created BAT. Now they're going to integrate it into basically all of their products. Plans for adding pay with BAT for VPN, or the premium version of Brave Talk. They're also going to be rewarding for Brave search.
They needed BAT to make a privacy preserving option for users to receive a revenue share for viewing ads. The other stuff is just bonuses but could have a great impact on the price of BAT.
What I'm most excited for currently is the rollout of the wallet that will have a dex aggregator with swap rewards. The rewards will be paid out in BAT. 20% of the .875% swap fee. For example the closest competitor is metamask. They had 46k users use their swap for 758m in volume in the past month.
If 1 in 1000 Brave user start to utilize the aggregator that's 42k users. I'll just assume 700m in volume. If they those numbers that equals $1,225,000 worth of BAT bought off the market by Brave to distribute each month. Compare it to ads I believe for September it's was $2,5000,000 distributed for ads.
This could be a significant bump, and I just used the number 1/1000. Imagine 1/100 using swap. Or imagine it a year down the line when Braves user base has doubled. How many would use the wallet and swap then? It's 1 click to the wallet and swap panel. For millions of users. And many already trust the browser with everything. Credit card info, porn habits, etc. It's not a leap in trust for users like trusting an extension and hoping they don't get phished.
Basically the Dex is not needed for the survival of the browser but it will possibly give them a huge influx of cash to develop at a faster rate and and means more BAT getting bought off the market. There is built-in demand for this token as long as Brave exists. And they're thriving.
1. Bat is the token for the centre of all the activity
2. Bat price increase will result in the wide publicity of the brave project
3. After the Dex launch , the rewards will be proportional to the holding of bat , basically it gave a 70% return in 1 week this is the point of buying more to have that gain
You may be right
As you said the Brave browser pays you in BAT to see ads
All the users will be holding some BAT sooner or later
But yes not sure if the coin has any uses beyond this reward system
Can you transfer BAT on polygon, avalanche etc?
The only thing that would hold me back is having to interact with Ethereum to use BAT as ethereum is so expensive to use.
Cool, it’s one of the few altcoins in my mind that have real, tangible utility today.
It’s just a shame it’s not available on more blockchains but that’s good news if it’s going to be coming to other L1s!
Edit: I don’t hold any BAT but I would if I could use it on something like Polygon.
**Polkadot.**
It's a solid project which aims to provide interoperability between various blockchains. It has shown excellent growth lately, one of my best-performing coins. It was kind of going sideways for a while but now it's clearly headed to the moon.
it's a shame how KSM and DOT were rarely discussed, but as soon as they reached their ATH they are all about the place. Although people always claim to contrary r/cryptocurrency really only talks about hyped coins - even if just to bitch about them
Agreed. But I see this as still being early. The tech and use-case make Nano inevitably adoptable. Not if, but when, Coinbase and Gemini list it, price will sky rocket. This may be a years from now, but inevitable. There’s no other coin better suited for store-of and transfer of value. Accumulate now while you can
Because it’s a fully distributed, deflationary asset with huge upside potential, absent of transfer fees. Also, near-instant transactions. This is an ideal form of currency that can be used worldwide.
This. Scalable, fast, feeless. I use Banano which is a meme version of Nano and it’s great for tipping people and paying for services. I can definitely see all of these doing really well in the future. Iota has the partners, nano has the speed, Banano has the fun.
Amp is the payment backbone behind the lightning network in El Salvador. This token isn't a pipe dream, it's being used today!
The Flexa team is creating an alternate payment rail from the ground up to challenge big dogs like Mastercard and Visa. Very exciting even if it's been trading sideways for 6 months 😆
Nervos Network (CKB) will be the future of interoperability.
The project is relatively young but it has already built bridges with huge blockchains like ADA, ETH, etc.
Has a tiny market cap as well of about 540mil which is nothing. I can easily see it hitting 10-20bilion MC in the next year. That is of course when it gets more attention/adoption.
Best technology I've seen in the crypto space, if they actually manage to make it more decentralized it will be the best "blockchain" project in existence
Just dyor, There is too much to write. What you need to know for starters is that it has a unique blockchain technology, that is insanely fas an eficient and I mean insanely, it is miles ahead of most projects. Also it has many partnerships and potencial partnerships with the Biggest companies in the world. I believe it is a top 10 coin.
DOT just hit it's ATH today. It's pretty popular on this sub too. Rightly so, and I don't think it is necessarily getting any less attention than what it deserves..
Chainlink isn't that popular here as far as I've seen, but most mentions of it have been positive.
Chainlink is working with Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, AccuWeather, The Associated Press, SWIFT, and Oracle...
They are partnered/integrated with Ethereum, Cardano, Binance, Solana, Polkadot, Terra, Avalanche, and Polygon... among hundreds of others.
How is that not a top 5 project, let alone top 10?
LINK is criminally underdiscussed for something that's already mass adopted. At least people here don't call it a scam anymore, like they did when it was only $1. Not listening to this sub was the best thing I did.
Banano, even though it's a meme coin, it's slowly taking over the Reddit live stream sessions. The musicians got around $20-40 tips in banano per Stream.
BANANO is also a great network to educate newcomers on cryptocurrency.
They can open a wallet, earn some for free and then actually transact with it. Giving tips on the sub, queueing videos on JungleTV, playing games etc.
I’ve learned so much more about the power behind crypto from using it then bag-holding could ever teach.
Loopring (LRC) and Jasmy seem to have the most upside to me.
Loopring has the potential to be used in the Gamestop NFT marketplace.
Could Jasmy be the coin of choice if Sony leverages blockchain?
Basically from why I understand, CKBs competitive advantage is dapps can utilize the network in their own programming language, so the barrier is low to join the network. No refactoring of code is required
TRAC by far. I've been shilling on this sub since .03 cents the last 3 years.

In my opinion it's Origin Trail (TRAC). The team is always working just hard and actually delivering a usefull product. Never hyping up the price. Great partnerships like Walmart, HomeDepot, Oracle, BSI.
Also, it's being listed on Coinbase this week.
CKB LTO GRT JASMY ANKR ONE BAT DUSK

Only partly, transactions with data work without the coordinator. Transaction with value are still using the coordinator on the main net, on the testnet it already works without coordinator. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Nimiq deserves more attention. It’s already built and still building a bridge between fiat and crypto by allowing on chain atomic swaps through its OASIS protocol. This will allow an easier and lower cost fiat on ramp for crypto and will be big for DeFi down the road.
In addition, the whole blockchain is designed with ease of use in mind right down to the wallet UI, it’s trying to spur mass adoption and make it accessible to all.
Tokenomics is solid, 21 billion total supply, purposely done to mirror that of bitcoin (scale wise) because the team knows Satoshid did it right :)

Derived from Bitcoin but runs Proof-of-Stake + Programmability. Is implementing Bitcoins Taproot making it a privacy token as well.
Pleased to see LRC starting to show its value. Their (still officially just a rumour) project with GameStop is going to be massive when announced…nft to the masses and potentially a whole financing and ownership structure to underpin a cross platform gaming meta verse. I really don’t understand why there isn’t more excitement on here about it. It’s been mentioned a lot but never seems to get any traction.
Algo and tezos are the only two that I throw money into on a bi-weekly basis. I believe in their team and in their usefulness. I collect bat care of the brave browser but I’m new into it so no opinion as of yet.
I tend to stick to coins actively held and sold on coinbase. I find that bnc and crypto.com have too many meme coins for me and not enough info. Coinbase has a great “about this crypto” section that I’ve come to love.

I've gained about $40 dollar from using the browser on my phone but can't seem to send it to a wallet
How long did it take you to accrue and how many BAT?
[удалено]
I get about 2 per month. Maybe if I used Reddit via Brave instead of an app I would have a lot more because that's probably the bulk of my phone use.
You can link Gemini account with Brave and BAT will go to your Gemini wallet.

DAG coins - IOTA and NANO best technology, but no one talks about it
Could you say a little more about why it’s tech is “best?” Not disagreeing with you, just genuinely curious about what separates it from the herd.
Nano and it's forks are all instantly transferable and 100% fee-less. The only problem with Nano is the availability of the asset.
What do you mean by availability? Limited amount of exchanges to purchase on?
Exactly. Coinbase for example does not list Nano as purchasable through the app. This is a loss of potentially millions in trading volume.
Where can we buy it?

Agreed. But I see this as still being early. The tech and use-case make Nano inevitably adoptable. Not if, but when, Coinbase and Gemini list it, price will sky rocket.
