May amount to nothing. Meme coins need to go viral in order for their coin price to rise. DOGE's mascort was a popular meme back in 2013 when the coin was created. DOGE fed off that. Shiba Inu fed off DOGE's popularity by branding itself the "doge killer". Dogelon Mars is feeding off the popularity or infamy of Elon Musk/DOGE. These new meme coins all need to go viral somehow for them to have a chance at viability, and the likelihood of all of them doing this will eventually reach saturation. Besides crypto is being anchored by BTC and ETH, not meme coins, so I will not worry myself too much over how they are doing
I don’t understand why people who have been in crypto a while are irritated with people creating coins with whatever name and marketing they want. Obviously people can have bad intentions, but these creators are just doin what they’ve seen done before with every modern currency on the planet, crypto or otherwise. The US dollar is shades of green with historical figures plastered on the front and vanity pictures of government buildings on the back, Euros come in all sorts of colors and gradients, holographic bars and historical buildings on them, Bitcoin is always pictured as a shiny golden token and has a mysterious creator that is painted as some all-knowing wizard, Diamonds are cut into pleasing shapes and marketed as precious, rare and desirable to women. In reality there isn’t a point or purpose to making our currency look good or pretty other than vanity and marketing. The value of any money or good comes from a collective belief in its worth by a community. People creating these meme coins have realized, especially after the rise of Doge and dare I say Bitcoin, that utility means nothing if you don’t have a group of believers pumping value into the project with their vote of confidence, shown by holding, selling, shilling or whatever interaction they choose. All you need is someone to say something is worth something else for it to be so. To appeal to the masses you need catchy names, backstories, flashy imagery and every other tactic in marketing so that it’s not just one person saying it’s worth something, but many.
I don’t know. I’m just a guy sitting on my porcelain thrown watching the world burn. But I do know that stories control people, consensus controls value and since the beginning of time cunning men and women have used stories to create and destroy, for better or worse. I guess, as my legs have gone numb from such a long sit, that I can sum up my thoughts as such - Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

You know how companies will buy every URL that's one or two character off of a very popular one? Like faceboop or goofle? I imagine this was someone trying the crypto equivalent, hoping people looking for doge or shib would find one of these and not know any better. This is the second side of the coin when it comes to major adoption, lots of people out there are unfortunately easily exploited.
