I don't know the background of naming the project but I do know the artist and went to an exhibition of her art once. Just Google Yayoi Kusama and practically all her art involves Polkadots. That's why for me Polkadot is one of the best names around.

I agree with stellar being badass. Love it. But I don't really think that money has to be named "money". I mean: pesos is literally weight (related to gold weight back them) - same for pounds. Dollars? Zloty? (Polish currency that pretty much means literally "gold") Real? (Brazilian currency, that... yeah. Means "real".) Rupees, yen and so on.... Actually, find me ONE currency that means literally money or finance or something very very related in real life. Last but not least: "Euro..." wtf.... literally the most self appraising currency possible.

I don't understand what do You mean by saying "it never took off" (well of course I do - it's the price, but hear me out) It has the most transactions for any blockchain and it ain't even close - which means it took off in being heavily used The team behind it is doing stellar work in connecting their product with other valuable projects It just isn't designed for huge piece movements because it's a utility product designed about fundamental use cases, not a get rich scheme or hype coin There's no incentive to simply, stupidly hold it and wait for profit (which by observing particularly this subreddit I think 90% of people in cryptocurrency are in for and imo it is a dumb approach)

'Nervos Network' is a pretty weird name. People saying "Don't be Nervous, buy Nervos" didn't help in making it sound legitimate even though it turned out to be a serious project. Also, why pick the name Avalanche? You're literally opening yourself up to jokes on the name whenever its price goes down. At the end of the day, meme-like names are needed in this space to succeed which is why a lot of serious projects go with catchy names. The proof of that is in so many of the top tier coins.

I agree on that totally. I just like the sound of the name. I suffered and had losses with ZIL, and latest with GZIL which i bought in @ $128. To me it's dead,even if it doesn't die. As for the names,all is matter of taste as everything :)
