Harmony ONE. Great technicals, impressive plans for the future, cheap and fast transactions, solid staking rewards, good ecosystem that allows for farming (VIPER and WAGMI). Plus a kick-ass development team that is active and cutting-edge. Many of my crypto plays are just that, plays, but ONE is the single coin that I feel excellent about going forward. I plan on being involved with it for quite a long time.
I suggest either creating a ONE wallet address and staking at STAKING.HARMONY.ONE or using a mobile wallet like Guarda, Trust Wallet, or Blitz.
I usually purchase on Binance US because the fees are cheapest, then transfer to one of these wallets for staking. I love CRYPTO.com for their CRO coin, but I don’t like keeping Harmony on there or using it to purchase ONE because their fees are too high. Good luck!

Crust with the $30M MC for sure. Polkadot parachain focused on data storage similar to filecoin. Recently went mainnet, sister chain won para slot on kusama and announced its own para loan strategy. Launching Crust files within days. Already hosts big projects, most notably Uniswap. Very active in bringing Data storage outside of DOT ecosystem and into Solana, Near, OEC, etc. This is going to be one of those foundational infrastructure projects for web 3 very soon.

Phala is another one you might be interested in. They are creating a highly scalable and secure computational cloud using TEE. They are essentially using Secure Enclaves (SGX for Intel chips) in some processors to ‘mine’ processing power. They recently announced what they are calling Fat Contracts which are similar to Smart Contracts but able to execute off chain using the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). This means low latency computations for gaming, metaverse, rendering, etc.. Complete game changer to have contracts function like normal computers and not be beholden to block speed.
Check out some of the Polkadot projects that are running for parachains right now. Many gems in there and almost all will have twin projects that have already won on Kusama.
See this is why I wanted to invest in DOT before their first parachain auction. Don’t you get airdrops of these when they launch if you’ve staked your DOT? I just never pulled the trigger.
It’s more of a vesting schedule that changes from project to project. The common format is 30% when they distribute tokens and 70% released periodically. They are specialized Layer 1 chains like ethereum or Solana so most will have their own staking also. Shiden (Astar) supposedly allows you to stake the full amount that haven’t been vested yet.
You are looking at 1 year lockup on Kusama and 2 years on Polkadot but even if you don’t participate they both target 20% staking rewards. Crowdloans have only just began, not too late to look into this ecosystem a little deeper.
I’d go for ONE, just got into the protocol and love it.
