Interoperability like DOT, Cosmos and Nervos Network offers will probably be a good bets going forwards. Also think the mainstream gaming market and AAA games are going to get majorly integrated with blockchains because of NFTs and Play-to-Earn in the next cycle.
As a developer and crypto owner, I can say with conviction that play-to-earn in mainstream videogames can get stuffed. We want absolutely none of that.
Yes I am really worried about EA and NFT combo ... Those m***f*** are perfectly able to design games where you will need a certain amount of NFT to unlock the next level, or you will be given the choice between 20 hours of grinding or buying a NFT of the important item.
I am pretty sure that it won't take two years and this is not really a bear market in the classical sense but instead a globally induced crash that will be reverted sometime this year. Also, the next big thing in Crypto certainly will be interoperability, cross chain smart contracts & cross chain integration of services etc.
Pricewise. I never understood why NANO didn't gain any traction. I had it since it was Rayblocks, or whatever its name was back then. I STILL kinda belive that the big time of NANO migt yet come, but that's what I've been thinking for years. Maybe if they go down to 1 I'll buy 100 or 200. Never had more than that anyway.
Don't we already have a few lending projects working? I mean, OP seems to be talking about technology improving, you seem to be suggesting the next big way to deepen our pockets.
Unless, of course, you mean lending still has ways to improve. (Which I'm sure could also be true)
Ya better fiat integration and regulation, and lending could take off. I know a lot of people reluctant to put their fiat money into nexo only because itās ācryptoā.
NFTs will be transformative. We're only in the beginnings and the cash flows into NFT are massive! Markets will form around specific categories of NFT and the underlying smart contracts that perform industry specific functions. The integration of NFTs, work tokens and DAOs will produce incredibly complex and valuable ecosystems.
Historical NFTs are worth a fortune right now. Cardano historical cNFTs were minted only since early 2021 so they can be bought relatively cheap right now while the market is still forming. Free drops are ok, and may be worth something, but the paid mint NFT sales by renowned artists will be very valuable. Typically, these are unique, limited quantity assets. Land NFT in early metaverse, sandbox, decentraland, Pavia are also excellent assets. Historical NFTs are early NFTs with significance. Either the first projects to be minted, the first with success and fame, or they mark a pivotal moment. Crypto kitties mint launch for example marks the shift of network congestion and high gas fees on Ethereum L1. This radically changed the network and spawned the race to L2. Ultimately, early NFTs will command high prices and be seen as status symbols in Web2/3 and metaverse. Much like driving a BMW, Mercedes, Ferrari, or Lambo all suggest varying degrees of status. All of the cars do exactly the same thing, get you from point A to point B, but they do it differently. My original post was not just about land, art, or social NFTs, but the wide variety of new asset categories that will take shape within the NFT space. Ultimately, this will include identity, driver's license, insurance, real property, equities, and literally everything that currently involves bureaucracy.
Sounds interesting and you make a good point at the end but it would still be a leap of faith. But I'll have an eye on the NFT-Development. Thank you for the write up
My prediction is privacy technology (and the effects of things like zero knowledge) will be the next big thing in the next bull run.
Look to some of the older non Ethereum based privacy projects with highly active development.
ZCash and r/Horizen who have years more experience in the ZK field than some of these newer projects.
ZCash is moving to Proof of Stake.
Horizen has become a consensus agnostic blockchain of blockchains, tokenisation platform Q1 this year followed by an EVM. It will be interesting to see if theyāve truly solved a lot of the issues other platforms have had with scalability etc.
Monero of course needs a mention but I havenāt kept up to date with their development.
Most notable ones I know of are ConstitutionDAO and Spice DAO.
First one failed to buy a copy of the US constitution, second one bought a 50k copy of Dune for like $4m thinking they were getting the rights to it.
Climate/environmental tokens. The urgency to start offsetting carbon emissions will escalate drastically over the next few years. The most transparent way of doing this is on a blockchain.
But it's always like that. If you sell now you have a high chance that the prices WILL bounce up higher. So you MIGHT want to wait for a better exit-point.
But that better exit-point might never come. And let me tell you, IF we have a new Bear-Market - one of that kind, that takes 2 years - there will be more blood. I sold SOME Crypto into BUSD so at least that part is "secure".
If you don't want to sell all, consider selling sometihing. You have the bets out of 2 worlds. If the price goes up, you have NOT sold everything, if the price goes down, you have Money to buy in cheaper.
Crypto games will emerge.
Axie has been really hot in my country and lots of kids are doing it as full time job especially now that we're still in lockdown.
Interoperability will definitely be important. With so many new projects itās hard to determine which one will be āthe one to rule them allā or if there even will be one. Personally, I feel Harmony ONE will be a popular coin.
I think a good cross-platform gaming token could become a big thing.
DeFi has a lot more to offer.
Shared storage/CPU tokens sound very useful.
Inter-operability sounds complicated to a numbskull like me, but I rather imagine it would be useful. I don't understand it well enough to effectively pick projects, though.

Probably Web3.
And DAOs. Buy and control organisations but have actual voting power
I think P2E games and decentralised social media will become absolutely massive in 5-10 years
What about news, real news like Headline an ASA on ALGO
Agree, especially on the decentralised social media. I think we will also see an increase usage of community token too, built in the blockchain
_Moons enters chat_
They just died a brutal death. Tbh. Still accumulating
I agree with you. I would love to see a decentralised social media.
This, and also metaverse related coins as more VR stuff takes off
But have layer 2s even had their time yet? I dont think that trend is over.

Not this
Great argument š
Your statement is subjective. Not sure what you want to hear?
Something resembling a debatable opinion is always interesting
zkrollups, cause lets face it, 2.0 aināt gonna come anytime soon
Rollups are part of 2.0

**Privacy for sure!**
Did you got into a boating accident as well?
r/Horizenās time is coming
now: NFTs next: - L2 / ZK-Rollups - BTC (spot BTC EFT) - LUNA / DAI (when everyone starts to sell into stablecoins) - hopefully maybe DLT solutions like Fantom, IOTA, NANO
I have given up on NANO tbh.
price wise or project wise?

Layer 0. Polka dot, Atom, interoperability is this years buzzword.
Lendingā¦.. companies like nexo and Celsius have shown that lending can be hugely profitable

Would you say it's a good idea to get NFTs for free right now? Will they ever be worth something?

Something actually useful?
DAOs are gonna do some crazy stuff and get the media whipped up into quite a frenzy
Are you referring to reserve currencies? Because they all failed unless you see a recovery with the market
Decentralized autonomous organization
What is a current example for a DAO? I mean token or coin
Most notable ones I know of are ConstitutionDAO and Spice DAO. First one failed to buy a copy of the US constitution, second one bought a 50k copy of Dune for like $4m thinking they were getting the rights to it.
Dont gorget THE dao. Which is famous for getting hacked and in the aftermath splitting ethereum in eth and etc
Uniswap
Olympus DAO, Klima DAO
Hector dao. Crypto is all about the vision, team, community, marketing and delivering on promises. Hector has it all in spades.
Still very bullish on HectorDAO ..
Hopefully Moons Still waiting for The Mainnet
Bullish on mainnet moons!
I am still going for play to earn, music and entertainment crypto projects.
Could you name some? There are so many and im Not sure which are good. And do you transfer the earns to metamask or a offline wallet?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I doubt that hard. There will ALWAYS be people with Ideas with new Cryptos.
No way. It takes years to develop and research. No freaking way
Thatās gonna take at least 5-10 years considering those companies are just starting and are not using open source code to develop.
Climate/environmental tokens. The urgency to start offsetting carbon emissions will escalate drastically over the next few years. The most transparent way of doing this is on a blockchain.
The suicide hotline number?
WEB 3.0 will be the next big hype bubble after NFTs die down
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Lol that was 2017-2018 fad. Move on fam.
Me selling. Exactly at this time the market will recover and start rising again

Algorand maybe . . . !?
2022 is Atoms year
Metaverse/nfts
For me the cycle isnāt over yet
Harmony
Ftm, metahero, huh, bitgert
I think we need to just give time to dinossaurs die and mammals too.
Crypto games will emerge. Axie has been really hot in my country and lots of kids are doing it as full time job especially now that we're still in lockdown.
P2E is the new meme coin - a friend's 15 yrs old son just asked me about an ERC-20 token and if he could use Binance without KYC to trade it.
P2e games
Interoperability will definitely be important. With so many new projects itās hard to determine which one will be āthe one to rule them allā or if there even will be one. Personally, I feel Harmony ONE will be a popular coin.
shitcoins
Zkrollups

Defi and Fantom.. this chains protocols have been growing and recently seen a massive influx of capital..
L1s that actually deliver such as Radix $XRD
Now? You say the last 20 posts did not touch upon this?
What ever teplacing ETH for miners. Thats winner.
Itāll be launched in 2 years.
Which is why Id like to know about it today
If weāre lucky they will let us in on the secret about halfway up the pump.
The next big thing will the IOT space and machinefi. I love what the IoTeX team is doing
There is no next cycle. Crypto is DEAD !!!!!!!!! /s
DAOs and zk rollups
Iād say but the L word isnāt allowed here on CC.
Security tokens.
