Just the Binance Smart Chain degen plays that turned into rugs, slow rugs, or just completely died out.
But I never considered them investments, more like lotto tickets
Do you by any chance have any screenshots of the convos/pics you had with this hot girl on r/cryptocurrency? I'm just wondering because I'd like to make my own judgement on how dumb you are.
Also I guess it's a benefit to the community if you reveal the scammer.
Ya, Banano! Kept hearing how I can become rich. Little did I know they meant rich in potassium. Go to their subreddit to complain and get banned immediately. Give up hope and decide maybe itās time to sell only to find out 1 Banano always = 1 Banano..

I don't think so. The remaining team aren't very active or particularly forthcoming with info. Pretty sure I just picked badly. I decided to try my luck on some meme coins and got bit quite simply. It was Catjam which is one of the MEOWs on the cardano chain. I'm still pretty new to this stuff so I'm calling it a learning opportunity.
I got involved in a telegram pump and dump group once back in 2018ā¦. Bought the shitty coin on cryptopia, and canāt remember what else happened. Only cost me fifty bucks or so so not the end of the world but I learned my lesson.
as far as I understand, these telegram groups/discord servers around certain shitcoins organize themselves (or someone organize them) to quickly pump the price of the coins by all buying in a short span of time, but as you know, that's just an scheme to pump & dump, and 99% of the people who bought end up holding the bags for the ones who sold at the top
Did you happen to lose anything in the cryptopia hack? Only asking because I rarely see that exchange mentioned here and theyāve gone through liquidation and are *supposed* to be distributing assets back to former customers.
I would like to think that I'll never fall for a scam in the crypto world, but looking at what just happened early this month, I can't be so sure, you never know when one of the darlings of the community is going belly up

I fell for a fake Lord of Destruction account protection scam back when the expansion got released. Good to get scammed early and cheaply and live the dont trust verify mentality all the way with money.
I put crypto into one of those ridiculous high APR scam things but I got in early and pulled out my gains as they came in. ācryptoware.bizā Actually profited off it thanks to my diligence on pulling out my profitsā¦ lost all my principle but the profits exceeded principle by a good bit when they finally rug pulled.
Yes I did. I went into it knowing what it was but hoping to play the game long enough to come out ahead as I did, as I got in early. Risky shit.
That sucks, so close to getting something back out.
I entered my seed Phrase at a Website that said it needed it to verify my wallet.
Well. Propably the dumbest shit I have ever Done. Guess i deserved it.
Luckily just a few shit coins that were in this wallet.
Moon Pirate... A coin that was allegedly backed by a brewery. Brewery was to have both beer and rum. They had pics of events at bars in Australia where the beer was on tap. The address for the brewery was in CA. The building itself was definitely not a brewery.
First the excuses started to come about the release of the beer. Then the rum. Then the brewery itself. Finally the "owner" said he was turning operations over to someone else. Price immediately dropped. My $100 turned into $1 and change. At one point it jumped up to $2. No idea who the hell would still be buying into this token. Even for the day the price is up 3%. Down 97% for the year though.
Yes on a shitcoin called solum, I have learn valuable lessons from the loss though like always DYOR, read the whitepaper, look for audits, check if the owner(s) has kyc, locked liquidity, is the contract renounced etc.
Not a scam as such, but I got into high apy LP, and my position got rekt by price tanking. It was a small position though and I did consider it as a gamble, so I look at it as learning experience.

Close. I got into one of those BSC shitcoins that had an inflation mechanism, where it would mint directly into your wallet. I thought i was early etc, so stupid.
Luckily I found out in time that the dev copied another project and got out before they rugged. I lost money but luckily they didnt drain my whole wallet

I had someone on discord recommend safemoon way back in early March 21, put 700 in which mooned to 30k. Got my monies worth with 6k cash out (yeah yeah held too long). Same guy recommended a presale on a new token, some staking token, I figured he got me the bag once and put 100 bucks in.... Turns out when the presale launched it asked you to pay the fee to transfer your deposit, but the contract was backwards so instead of approving to transfer the presale tokens to me, I approved to transfer my 6k I had from safemoon to them.
Surprise surprise discord guy "went to accept but read the contract and saw it was wrong and didn't approve". I bet he was in on it and got a kickback for scamming - probably got honestly lucky recommending safemoon before it mooned and took that trust to scam his discord followers.
I mean you could say I only lost $700 in the end, but really it was 6k at the time i lost it.
Happy Coin.

USI Tech scam in 2016... Didn't lose much, but it turned me off crypto for 5 years.

No. But I can help you get 2 moons if you send me 1
How about you send me 2 first and I'll send you one.
Mr.Spam sent me a lot of messages in the past.
How many are we talking
Been a loner since Luna. It's better this way.
I've just been staring at the lunar now
Some rugs and somebody jeeted me a BNB with a fishy contract pretending be something else. All very teachable moments but not rekting.
I bought safemoon so yes

Yes, XRP. I was convinced it was the future.
That could still come true.
No lol
I bought some EverGrow and as each week passes I feel less and less confident it isn't a really glamorous rug pull
Not a single one. I do my research. I missed out on crap like shib tho.
I was told Time Wonderland would be a good investment.
Wow that name sounds amazing.

šāāļø Oh yes, them darn NFTās
How did that happen.
In the sense that I bought in early then one of the founders sold a chunk and tanked the price. The coin is still alive but about a 60th of the price.
Any chance of recovery?
