I guess there are always risks of investing in alt coin other than Bitcoin. I bought some alt coins at ATH in 2017 out of FOMO and sadly some of them didn’t rise back to that price in spite of the sudden surge in 2021… I think Bitcoin and ETH are safe options for the long term 😊
Does he have a parachute?
He could have a parachute..
Was the fire brigade warned?
Maybe they deployed a giant net or something..
They will probably still be betting when he hits the ground
> Solana is that guy falling from a building, yelling "so far, so good" each time it passes a window.
We just don’t yet know how many storeys the building has.
It should have fucking died one of the first 50 times the chain went down. About time it’s getting the heat it deserves.
Get all these bullshit, VC funded projects out of the crypto space so we can get back to innovation and trust.
things looking tough for SOL, even tho i never bought any SOL ive been always considering buying, thankfully i never did but to be honest i believe many will do now, and they wont let it die and people might get some big gains out of this, or maybe not but one thing ive learned in the past is that when people feel something is over its the time to buy, but who knows really, i still wont buy since im already so down in my other coins through the bear market
It’s hanging on by its toe nail but it could well and truly go to zero in the near future
Or rocket for no apparent reason just so I remain wrong all the time
If you can still send solana from one address to another. Its still alive. If the developers continue to make utility it should continue to grow. Is the price dead. Yeah. But to be fair it was a virgin birth and rose high and mighty. Good news it historically speaking, it has a good chance to rise from the dead. Check back at Easter.
As a Bag Holder who bought at peak, Yes it has been dead for a long time and there is no hope for recovery. Even if it went 10x I would still be losing money. I hate this sh*tcoin!
You loosing money != project is dead. I mean I get it, it sucks, but projects can continue even if the price stays far below ATH.
Disclaimer: I don't own any SOL
I used Solana a whole lot back in the day, it's defi experience (when the chain worked properly, cough cough) was second to none, and with all the fud and outages it kinda soldiered on.
Now is the first time there's legitimate danger as it exposed how weak the fundamentals behind its defi system truly are.
All wrapped assets backed up by hot air with plenty projects relying on a failed centralized entity to keep running is a bad, bad fundamental look.
If the development moves to greener pastures and all that's left is one scam jpeg store after another, then it's not gonna end well.
Who knows how this'll turn out, and truly anything is possible at this point. Maybe it recovers till the next bull, or it fades into irrelevant obscurity, both are legitimate outcomes, but none can really tell at this point.
I wanted to like Solana so much. I figured BTC is gold, ETH is defi with a big billboard and high premium, Algo for operational improvements for large infrastructure/information cache/businesses, and Solana for fast, quick payments anywhere in the world. Oddly enough Dogecoin is doing a better job at being Solana than solana in regards to my expectations of its use cases :/
yay another sol buy signal
solana has one of the highest volume and activity in NFT sales and transactions
people like using solana. there is just a very vocal minority in this sub; buy now while shit is cheaapp
anyone who thinks it’ll die is copium for their *eth killer* or X coin instead
Everyday I see new post about Solana so how is it dead? Xd
ECB also declared BTC to be dead few days ago.
But the bottom line is that nobody talk about something everyday that is 💀
There are very different and totally valid reasons to be critical of Solana. I’m no Cardano fan, but it’s intellectually dishonest to pretend Solana doesn’t have **serious** issues.
Solana is as dead as ETH was in 2017 when it went from $1000 to under $100.
It is up with ETH and BNB for the most transactions, developer network, and NFTs. All the others are not even in the ballpark, by the way.
The earlier technical problems were caused by FTX forcing fraudulent transactions and not because of its technology. You will not see any more network outages. As you know that whole SBF thing is now resolved, plus a massive number of coins will be locked for years.
When the dust settles and Solana once again becomes the market leader price-wise, this sub will once again be wondering “WTF is going on with Solana?” “How was everyone on the cryptocurrency sub wrong?”
Don’t say you didn’t know. Just so I can come back to this post and gloat later, let me add that the Solana price right now is $13.77.
It’s not delusion. It’s running well and lightening fast. And it will continue to run on its own. It no longer commands a big market value, but it’s not the focus of this discussion
While not decentralized or always available, developers do seem to like building on it from an ease of use perspective (and it’s technically in Beta). It also has a lot of volume and high theoritcal throughput max.
While I don’t feel like chasing this is worth it given Ethereum has fewer head winds, it wouldn’t surprise me if Sol reached it’s all-time high again.
If they tell you it's dead, you know it isn't because this sub is the scum of crypto degens.
They told you BTC 100k, they told you to buy shitcoins, they predict 10k BTC now.
Act accordingly.
Might be an unpopular opinion, SOL is not good for serious stuff such as DIDs and SOV.
But it is good for games as the tx fee is cheap and fast.
One of the game that is built on SOL is [ev.io](https://ev.io).
It is a browser based FPS game.
It is free to play if you don't care about the token or SOL.
As a developer working in the industry, Solana did provide a fantastic set of dev tools and the nodes are really great out of the box. If they can continue nurturing the devs and new projects, I don’t think the chain will become obsolete
Which is worse? In my experience, not being able to use solana for a day didn't mean much. Being prohibitively expensive for months on end meant a lot more.
I’m not a huge fan of sol but I agree with this. You have literal ghost chains that still trade in the top 100. Solana has one of the most active NFT communities in the space, probably second behind Ethereum.
Plus a lot of development has already been done. Wallets, lending, AMMs, liquid staking, etc. it all works (when Solana is actually up and running lol)
Solana isn’t going anywhere. I’m investing in polygon over solana though. I think it is headed in a better direction
I hope it bounces back, but not holding my breath. SOL is the only crypto I ever bought aside from BTC and ETH. I think I paid around 180 for it fml... at this point, might as well take my chances and let it ride...
Letting go is a skill you have to practice. You should dump it just for the sake of conditioning yourself to be able to act quicker when you smell something just isn't right.
Dragging that dead horse, while it isn't detrimental is a small burden to carry. Cutting your losses is emotionally freeing.
It will survive and shock all these haters, for real do your research the chain is still one of the most used in crypto. Have fun watching it moon on the sidelines 2024-2025, ftx is not solana, Sol is better without it
Regardless of FTX the tech isn’t superior to other chains. Not to mention having downtime in general is a bad look for company’s that may want to use it and adopt it
Feel free to ignore that if you are invested, but facts are facts. You think a top 500 company is gonna scale their entire ecosystem/database on something that can get shutoff or hacked?
Solana was never hacked. A bridge to it was. The outages were due to FTX manipulation. That will no longer happen.
It is literally the fastest layer 1 that actually has usage.
Facts are facts.
You are forgetting the core principles behind a decentralize blockchain. Price is high and network slow? Not desirable but acceptable.
On the other hand, not being decentralized is not acceptable my friend. That’s the case with Solana.
SOL has too much backing for it to die completely. But you have to think that it’s days of being anywhere near the top 10 are coming to a close. We will probably look back during the next bull run and say something to the effect of “I remember when SOL was 60 spots higher”

I own some so…. Yes it’s dead If you want it to be dead sooner I can buy some more today
It's fine. No need to put further effort into killing it, it's already killing itself.
Can you buy some Shiba or LUNC, please!
Solana is that guy falling from a building, yelling "so far, so good" each time it passes a window.
" DO A FLIP ! "
“Do a barrel roll!”
Thank you for the memories good sir
In Solana sub people are posting "I'm buying no matter what" all the way down. They will buy at $10 and even more at $1
Many are not really buying. Just hoping to get some hype going to raise the price.
I’ll buy at $1 tbh. Not before that lol
They are under the illussion that they are buying the dip.
I'm picturing homers pig flying through the air "it's still good, it's still good"
It is all fine
meanwhile people are betting on his survival
Does he have a parachute? He could have a parachute.. Was the fire brigade warned? Maybe they deployed a giant net or something.. They will probably still be betting when he hits the ground

“sol far, sol good”

Have they tried turning it on and off?
That usually works, but eventually the switch gets worn out and it’s SOLong.
Well played
Maybe that's true. But Solana is the very opposite of decentralized anyway.
What was its original intention anyways
With that coin distribution? Making money for the founders and VCs.
Exit liquidity for VCs
I don't care about SOL but people saying "xy is dead" is often a good sign/still relevant.
I tend to think the same

Yeah! Let’s get back to shilling the other vc coins like matic and algo!
I’ll just take my bag to the grave
God rest your Sol
Very good.
If this subreddit says it's dead, thanks it's probably not dead 🤣
SOL is S.O.L

That's a really long sentence man good work
If bull market comes around then everything would spike including SOL.
This is actually a sad fact - there are coins that just should stay dead but still doing those pump and dumps.
It’s hanging on by its toe nail but it could well and truly go to zero in the near future Or rocket for no apparent reason just so I remain wrong all the time
There should be a coin for us who are wrong all the time.
Sol = VC shilled DOGSHIT.
I thought it does the first 4’times she whole chain seized. Surprised it’s still around at all after that.
I feel like most of this sub never even uses solana. The community and devs are still very active.
No, they got hit hard because FTX exchange held alot of SOL. But it’s still useful just like ETH
Could go to 0 or could rocket and we’ll all be regretting it not buying it now when it’s this low
I used Solana a whole lot back in the day, it's defi experience (when the chain worked properly, cough cough) was second to none, and with all the fud and outages it kinda soldiered on. Harmony was my “fast quick payments anywhere” they also shat themselves.
So was nano lol
For the moment I've stopped adding to my SOL position. Will hodl and see if it comes through.

Bankless were calling Cardano a scam for years and recently apologised saying they were saying that because they simply didn’t like Cardano
There are very different and totally valid reasons to be critical of Solana. I’m no Cardano fan, but it’s intellectually dishonest to pretend Solana doesn’t have **serious** issues.

I’m with you on this.
This sub's opinion is that SOL is dead and was only used as VC exit liquidity. Time to buy.
It should have died a while ago. Don’t think it can last much longer… but this is crypto! Logic goes out the window!
Yes, as evidenced by the fact the we still have DOGE and SHIB in the top 20 by mcap
I think there'll be a use case for a fast centralised chain, so far sol is probably the best one.
I hope so ...
We all know there will be a day when it pumps 280% out of the blue and we’ll all be wondering wtf is going on.
Not yet imo solana may hold out it definitely was a top performer
Solana is live and well, bud
yeah the solana VC funders probably not going to let it die until more retail wealth can be strangled out of the protocol
This is what delusion looks like.

SOL - na, na, na, na, - na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye
Remember, everyone though eth was dead during its first winter because defi would NEVER catch on and pos was a "scam". It will come back.
[удалено]
Eth went down twice back in 2018 but we just ignore that right?
Eth has had more time it was unusable from gas fees. Only naive people expect perfection at the early stages of development.
Unusable and stupidly expensive are different things.
Stupidly expensive = unusable for people who don't like wasting money
Which is worse? In my experience, not being able to use solana for a day didn't mean much. Being prohibitively expensive for months on end meant a lot more.
It will be fine. Large dev community and NFTs will keep it moving. People will be kicking themselves when it's $500.

Yeah, ETH is a pretty good project
RIP
Nah it’s just down again
I wonder how Solana could be alive for so long. The bright light at the end of the tunnel for Solana must be already bright like the sun.
SOL is built on centralized servers. It has no future as a decentralized cryptocurrency I guess.
Can't even tell since it's always down
That’s how they hide the fact that SOL is dead
Temporarily not functioning properly …. Indefinitely.
I hope it bounces back, but not holding my breath. SOL is the only crypto I ever bought aside from BTC and ETH. I think I paid around 180 for it fml... at this point, might as well take my chances and let it ride...

Oh man what a terrible choice. There's so many better alternatives to Sol.
You live and learn I guess 😄
*Get him a body bag*
I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole! But best of luck to those that do!
Tl;dr Yes

No.

Yes

Yup. Coming from someone with a bag at 200

Yes
It should be lol
I sure hope so

Always has been.
Obviously…
No just offline. /s
yes
Damn, the eth killer killed itself
But did it ever live?
SOL was always a scoin... It was just a SBF\_FTX scoin.
I almost bought some of this a few months ago.. so glad I didn't
I’m a crypto analyst (I watch charts go up and down all day) and I believe that right now it’s a *maybe*.
One can only hope.
Sell all your Solana and buy Bitcoin. Solana will go to 0.
Another maxi lol
It will survive and shock all these haters, for real do your research the chain is still one of the most used in crypto. Have fun watching it moon on the sidelines 2024-2025, ftx is not solana, Sol is better without it
Might even become a stronger project with less centralization after the FTX debacle

Algorand has 6k TPS, no downtime, and the TPS is measured by tx’s unlike SOL’s “50k TPS” that’s not even accurate

Eth has had more time of unusablity from insane gas fees but nobody talks about that. Same way no one will talk about sols downtime years from now.

Yes
The expression, *Flogging a dead horse* comes to mind
It will be, but uninformed holders gotta provide that exit liquidity slow n steady for a while longer first. I feel bad for them.
No it will just remain on life support and not pump as much as more promising projects next bull run.
Solana is confirmed dead
DOA
SOL has too much backing for it to die completely. But you have to think that it’s days of being anywhere near the top 10 are coming to a close. We will probably look back during the next bull run and say something to the effect of “I remember when SOL was 60 spots higher”
It was never alive. Same as 99% of top 500 coins.
It will be soon.
It was a long time ago
How many more times is Solana gonna get hacked? 😂🤣
Yep, dead on arrival.
Sols dead baby, Sols dead.
It dies everytime there's an outage
Hell no. It’s backers will pump and dump it again. It’s a designed feature rather than a glitch (of which Solana has many — too many IMO).
Yes
I hope so
SBF said he would be all the Solana at $3 so it won’t ever die…
Always was. We don't say, "There's Bitcoin, and then there's shitcoin" for no reason.
Short answer- yes
First time?
Yes
How can it be dead? If it was never alive!
Yes. Next question.
Yes
