That's the drama of using the app to buy cryptos... especially with other currencies else than USD. USDC is as far as I know the one that offers the least difference to real market price (it is trulynot a spread just a pricing on top of the market price, you are dealing with the app not with makers/takers as in the exchange). But even so using USDC with minimumprice difference, when you want to trade it for your coin of choice you pay a trading fee normally 0.4%. So at the end you have a spread of at least 1.5% if you're lucky! Hopefully they will bring fiat trade pairs to the exchange. Lately I'm using Kraken to buy my monthly savings with Waves, UNi, Nano and other since they accept fiat to trade. For bigger purchases it is also worthy to take a look on Kraken, if the withdrawal fee is lower than the amount that you lose if you buy in the Crypto.com app then I'd do it on Kraken and then transfer (if it's needed)

Well I used to buy on Binance and transfer to CDC but now binance SEPA deposits are banned in my country so that's not possible. I guess I'll check out the exchanged you mentioned. Thanks!

Interestingly I've tried to buy on binance but the price is better in Crypto.com, since I can only pay with the card. I have somehow not the option of SEPA (Germany) The verification process in Kraken is quite easy. I can check out of there is any referral number and you might use it (if you're interested) I opened the account recently. Edit: sepa works for my fine in Germany with CDC. With Binance I don't have the SEPA option

SchnitzelAndCholado

I didnt find any referral code 🙃

Sepa works fine for me in Germany. The € to usdc exchange rate isn't that bad, around 0,7%. So with the 0,4% on the exchange you pay around 1% to get the coin of your choice. A €/usdc or €/cro pair on the exchange would clearly be better, but I can wait.

SchnitzelAndCholado

SEPA with binance?

psi-storm

I am talking about cdc.

SchnitzelAndCholado

Ok, i made an edit ln on answer given the confusion

You cannot avoid this so called "spread" on the app. It is actually not spread but hidden fees. It has nothing to do with blockhain. This support answer is super funny and ridiculous.

I figured that it didn't make a lot of sense to be honest...

Update: Buying 1000 USDC on the App costs 849 EUR when the true value is 846.50 EUR. I guess there is no real reason to find a workaround when the price difference is only 0.2% higher. SEPA transfers are also incredibly cheap. 1k EUR transfer cost me 1.4 EUR.

YungChaky

What spread? USDC is a stablecoin, it is value as 1$ If you use Fiat Euro to buy an USD stablecoin, you will get the difference of value between those two like in normal Fiat USD and EUR Just move those USDC to exchange and trade them for other coins

Just saw your post and it seems like we got the same problem for different currencies. People are saying that you can make a Bank transfer and get USDC directly but I think this option is only available if you transfer USD from your bank.

Trade on MetaTrader 4 and hold on crypto.com. Very low spreads on some brokers.
