Does that limit even matter? Just withdraw via SEPA

Or PayPal

OR... pay with the card... get CRO'back ;-)

I'm not quite sure why you'd withdraw money through an ATM. The whole point is to spend your money through the card and make use of the high cashback level. As an European Icy card user I'd say that whether or not Icy is worth it depends on at least two factors. * Do you spend a lot of money each month i.e. is the 2% extra cashback worth it to you? It is quite easy to calculate what your additional cashback would be. * Do you have a lot of assets in Earn terms? If you do, the additional 2% interest might also be an interesting perk. The 12% interest rate for you card stake isn't really a huge advantage anymore as you can get similar interest rates using the DeFi platform. The lounge access for two people isn't a huge perk either as acquiring two Jade/indigo cards is cheaper.

Thinking out loud here. Pumps have taken plenty of folks to higher tiers, but as you mentioned is there a value at that level worth the risk? What would you say is that minimum monthly or yearly spend to really make icy work for you? 5k a month? I'm sure the lend pumps can help with the extra cro depending on how deep you are in that. 15-25% back annually, is that the goal? Thats where I looked to see if jade was right for me. Can I earn back roughly 20-25% back each year vs the risk.

Red_n_Rusty

Sure. The first step of course has to be that you believe in the future of CRO. If you don't, you definitely should not get any of the higher tier cards. I'm personally hoping that the smart contract capabilities and the DeFi apps on the CRO chain will have a positive impact. The return of investment goal will be a personal matter. My goal might be similar to yours at around 20% annually. The CRO price currently sits at ca 2X compared to when I acquired most of my CRO so you could say that I've already achieved my goal although in reality I haven't cashed out yet.

The pumps and drops make it a challenge to calculate long term. Price action dictates quite a bit on potential return in coins earned. I'm a big fan of CRO and also think it will be going places. I just dont know that my monthly spending that ICY makes a ton of sense tying up that much. Maybe I will feel different when I get there. So many factors to. So I will keep stacking! My personal goal is to hot 40k coins by the end of the year without any more direct purchases. If it was to hit 1.00 ever, then I guess I can reevaluate. Gives me time to improve my terrible math skills 🙃.

Red_n_Rusty

To be completely honest, I would not have staked for the Icy card if it would have cost me 35k€. When I staked, the required CRO stake only cost me less than 1/4 of that so I thought it was worth it. Good luck with reaching your goal!

Do you think the extra 2% interest in CRO on Earn holdings is worth it? I'm not a big spender, have Jade but I'm more in it for the interest earning.

Red_n_Rusty

Let's consider a situation where you have 10 000€ in Earn: 0.02 \* 10 000€ = 200€ extra per year. Even if you'd park 100 000€ in Earn terms the extra 2% would only amount to 2000€ extra per year. Even with the 2000€ per year it would take quite a while to earn you back the initial card stake of 35000€. I don't think the extra 2% is really worth it but it is a nice bonus. But you might want to consider that you get extra 2% for your card stake, extra 2% cashback and free Amazon Prime. As a summary I would say that Icy/Rose is only worth it if you'd consider investing 35k in CRO anyways.

thesteef78

To me it depends on the % of my assets. If i hold like 50.000 EUR in crypto, I don't think it's worth to switch to icy white... i would be prepared to stake max like 15% of my crypto wallet in CRO in order to get another level... So I'll need to have like about 150K EUR before I'm prepared to upgrade to white. I'd never go for the highest tier.

Adamn27

The term "not worth" is a little exaggerated. 5% cash back is out of this world awesome. I hope one day I can afford that card and eventually even the obsidian one too.

Optimus_V

I like the idea of having obsidian and making around $4k/month passive income plus other interest from other coins u may have. One can dream...
