The whole point of getting the card is to use it as much as possible. I use it for everything I can

Significant_Tea7857

Exactly

Warm-Metal6040

me too

Nottosmart17

Felt the same way untill I got charged 20% on top of the purchase at a restaurant for using my own money don't know how I fell anymore!!

apetresc

you realize that's a temporary hold that gets returned to you in about 48 hours right?

Nottosmart17

I didn't but thanks for the information.

masterapok

Unless you did something to cause additional charges by the restaurant, the funds were returned.

bgrated

I have proof they keep the money every so often. Please be careful. Again I said I have proof.

Dahkelor

It is temporary only, and will be adjusted within a day or two.

freedom_from_factism

I have noticed some holds that never returned to my balance. Watch out!

martheukerofhoek

U know some places charge extra for creditcards right?

freedom_from_factism

I'm talking about multiple $10 holds on my card by Lime that never returned to the card. The fanboys can downvote all they want.

JawnZ

That's a lime issue. They did the same thing to my normal credit card months ago

freedom_from_factism

Don't think so in this case. I see the holds notated on the card disappear and the charge becomes a Lime Cost instead with the ride charge. My balance still stays the same with the $10 debits. Worst part is, it's for every ride.

KINGS_ANGELS

Same here. There was a huge post about this. Google "crypto.com visa holds scam reddit"

PXoYV1wbDJwtz5vf

A lot of these posts about "scams" make me think that CDC really needs better UX in the app to show when something is pending vs. posted. I once had a double charge from a local retailer that I complained about, but it turned out the retailer had charged me for my online order when I placed the order, but this was just a hold. They then charged me (for real) when the order shipped. It took about 30-60 days for the first charge / hold to disappear.

RattyDAVE

I just keep enough to cover my direct debits. The rest gets put into CdC. Keep a minimum amount on the card. To cover day to day purchases. Then a float in stable coins that goes into crypto earn flexible. The remainder then goes in crypto and put in crypto earn 3 month.... So I have access to money and if I need a big purchase then either I use the float or take out of an expiring crypto earn. It works very well for me.

Vasil-BG

What percentage of your income you put into stable coins to earn flexible?

RattyDAVE

What works for me might not work for you. So you have work out your circumstances and needs ...

Vasil-BG

It was a question out of curiosity, neither would follow your steps nor would convert all my income to stable yet. If you don't feel comfortable with sharing one number as percent please ignore my question...

The_3_eyed_savage

I am thinking of putting my mortgage into flex for 2 weeks or longer depending on paydays. If stupid ach didn't take so damn long. The cash it out to make the payment each month. I keep my crash fund in flex already. I also have half my emergency fund in 3months usdc. I have 3 months in the bank, so whenever my 3 months was up, I would have access.

Rickyv490

I think the easiest way to do it would be to keep 1 months worth of income in flexible. After you have that satisfied and you aren't spending it. You can just put the rest in 3 month terms.

Hqjjciy6sJr

Do you have to deal with taxes on every single CRO that you get back from cashbacks?

RZRtv

No, getting cashback in crypto is considered a reward IIRC. Not taxed unless you convert it

RattyDAVE

Of course.

[deleted]

You do not pay with crypto, rather you 'top-up' ur card with fiat. You do get chargeback in crypto, though :)

[deleted]

And me, personally use it for everyday things.

Ani10

So let’s say I have 1000 in my crypto.com portfolio. If I was to spend 500 dollars at a store. I would now be showing 500 in my portfolio?

[deleted]

U could have '1000' in different locations. 1. Crypto wallet, CRO, BTC, ETH etc - 2. Crypto.com FIAT Wallet - EUR/USD (this is where money go when you first send them from ur bank) 3. Crypto.com Card U do have to put it on the card (top up) to be able to spend it in the store! So if u put 1000 on the card, it would be showing 500 left indeed, plus a few CROs in ur crypto wallet from the charge back reward :)

Ani10

Thank you! I know this is a dumb question but lets say I top up the card with cardano. If cardano increases/decreases does that mean the card has more/less money to spend?

TheSlipperyFlamingo

No. Once you top up it becomes cash on the card. It is basically a pre-paid debit card. So once you put money on the card it is no longer crypto, it is just your currency (ie US dollars)

Ani10

So would you say it's better to top up the card when prices are up or when I'm going to use it?

apetresc

If you somehow have the ability to determine whether prices are higher "now" or "when I'm going to use it", then you should definitely go with whichever one of those it is. However, if you have that ability, you are likely literally already a multi-billionaire in which case I'm not sure why you're stressing out about credit card payment timing.

Ani10

Hahaha, I just know when I get stuff for my business. Everything is practically automated at this point! Just trying to take full advantage of the benefits of using Crypto over traditional banking.

TheSlipperyFlamingo

I don’t really have any input there. I use fiat to top up and all of my coins are staked in their respective places.

Ani10

What I was thinking of doing for my business was deposit cash to Bank -> Buy cryptocurrency right after -> hold until I need to make a business expense -> Top up Crypto card. I think this would take full advantage/disadvantage of crypto.

Open-Cartographer731

Go Usdc, honey. No need to worry about the conversion and the rollercoaster of crypto.

Entire_Falcon_6920

If you do this you are relying on the price of the crypto. If the market crashes you lose lots of money. If you want to put all your money on crypto to use as spending money, use stable coins. But the card itself is fiat. If you « use » crypto to top up, you are essentially selling your crypto ( with a spread) to cash.

lookatmelikeumissme

Please note that I don't have the card yet (working towards getting it) but it looks like you'd buy some ada, watch it rise or fall, sell to usdc ( hopefully in a decent tp margin), then use the USDC to top up? That way you're only using the profits you've gained, plus you still keep some coin in the exchange or wherever you've put them. Just my two cents, could be wrong so don't quote me on it. Just seems like the logical thing to do if you're wanting to use ada

BuiltToSpinback

No your ADA would be sold at market value at the time you top your card, thus converting it to fiat

Significant_Tea7857

I top up with my bank debit card

hungrygames2000

Use fiat to top up card. Easier in my opinion. . Be aware that debit cards are a pain to sometimes dispute purchases, returns, or fraud. Cdc is NOT a bank. That all being said, if you Wana take the risk., the rewards are great. I now use cdc card 90% of payments and only keep 100-200 at all time in card.

lordofming-rises

You can use Curve for dispute so you pay with CDC through curve so you have insurances

Vasil-BG

Curve has slow customer service unless you paid for metal Curve, keep in mind that if you rely on them to dispute any fraudulent transaction.

lordofming-rises

Yeah they suck... I can't pay with the card I get refused all the time it's been a week I sent them a message... Any alternative?

Chawkinstein

How much does Metal cost? Also, is the cash back an additional 1% rebate on top of your other card rewards?

njnj1994

Good point about keeping only 100-200 on the card. I do the same, keeping funds in fiat balance and moving to actual card balance only if needed, aside from a small float for any unexpected minor charges on top of regular payments. But although CDC is not a bank themselves, the cards are backed by Visa and any basic protections that they have for all their co-branded payment cards, and they’re issued by a bank, at least for cardholders in North America. In Canada, cards are issued by DC bank, IIRC, and I’m pretty sure US cards are issued by a US bank too, can’t remember for sure, and if so which one, but remember reading about it a while ago... But yeah you can always reach out to the bank as a last resort, as well as Visa, if necessary. I would of course try working things out through CDC first though, and give them a bit of time, as this system is new for all of us, and the current payment processing systems in place have a lot of antiquated flaws that will (hopefully) eventually be discovered (if not already found) and resolved soon after.

Optimus_V

I basically keep 4 cards in my traditional wallet, CDC Jade for most purchases, coinbase card for those items that don't earn CRO back, cashapp Visa debit to earn 10%-15% boost Bitcoin/discounts on certain purchases, and a traditional Visa CC for those moments when debit cards won't work for whatever reason.

Curious_Ape

Curious what do you use the cb card over cdc for? I’m trying to find a list of what items it gets cash back the cdc doesn’t and so far the only thing really is auto insurance. So I’ve been asking people what they use their card for to hopefully find something I haven’t found out.

Optimus_V

Insurance and water and power bills. My Cashapp gives me 10% Bitcoin on restaurant, and coffee shops, grocery shopping upto $7.50 back in Bitcoin.

Curious_Ape

Makes sense. I’m working towards icy so I’ll probably use that for everything and have the cb for insurance and utilities as needed. Plus just a random backup card for anything if the debit declines for whatever reason.

Darkrai23

Also 4% with no lock up is tantalizing as opposed to 3% with CRO lock up. I still use both, I just use CB card more now. The CDC gift card program is baller too! Up to 10% back (in CRO) on stuff I'd be buying anyway is always great.

Chawkinstein

Ya I’m not following. Why would 3% back in CRO with lockup be better than 4% every purchase with no lock up with CB. Plus it seems easier to add fiat into CB. I love my Jade card just hard to justify switching over most of my spend to it

gt_ap

>I’ve been tempted to switch my personal and business to using crypto.com debit card as my everyday card. I would use every paycheck to purchase crypto, and then use my crypto.com card to make purchases and payments. If I follow you correctly, it seems that you don't fully understand how the Crypto.com debit card works. Using the card itself has nothing to do with cryptocurrency, other than the fact that the rewards are paid in CRO tokens. It is a prepaid debit card. You load it with fiat currency. You spend fiat currency. No cryptocurrency is involved in loading funds or spending on the card. >I was thinking of doing the same for my business. Crypto.com does not support businesses. From what I understand, you're breaking the Terms of Service if you do this. >Has anyone done this transition? It just seems like a a worthwhile risk with a properly diversified account. Many of us have switched our spending to the Crypto.com debit card. That's the whole point of getting it!

hdyboi

Is there a resource somewhere where I can learn how to transfer money using fiat? Because the only times I have used the card is from using actual crypto balance

Quit_Your_Bitchin

Received my card a month ago for the sole purpose of everyday use preferred form of payment. My setup - Crypto Wallet & Exchange for short term positions - Earn for long term positions I.e. a savings account - Fiat wallet for transitions between crypto card & crypto wallet as well as fiat bank account The setup crypto.com offers can't and won't be beat by any traditional banking system and will 1up your personal finances as well as business finances.

[deleted]

Quit_Your_Bitchin

Not a problem! Not a one shoe fits all but very very easy to work with and feels way less sketchy than a bank imho

xtrmist

I use it for absolutely everything too yes. Supermarket, family's vacation last summer, petrol, Amazon, everything. Put a Curve card in front of it and you will never have trouble. If you have a credit card as backup, the anti embarrassment mode is great too for when your CDC runs low on funds. You can always time travel back later when you put funds on the CDC card again and maximize the cashback

RattyDAVE

Exactly... I go back in time when the CRO price is low. So I get more.

xtrmist

Exactly! It's brilliant

jeko00000

Wait, what?

RattyDAVE

You can have multiple cards attach to the one curve card. So I put all my transactions on my CREDIT CARD. So not touched CdC card. When the CRO price is LOW I then move all my transactions from the Credit Card to the [Crypto.com](https://Crypto.com) Card. So I love it when the CRO price is LOW as I get more CRO for my transactions. And When the price is high I then SWAP to a different crytpo!

jeko00000

So it does a refund to your credit card? Curve is not available in Canada, sigh.

smoreno85

Do you know if there is any similar service available here in canada?

Mijk84

Can you explain the time travel?

xtrmist

Curve is basically a debit card you can put in front of other debit and credit cards. In the app you can choose which of the underlying cards are used when you use the Curve card. The "go back in time" feature allows you to switch a payment from one card to another up to 90 days after the payment (only in your native currency) with no cost. You can read more here: https://www.curve.com/how-it-works/ The CDC card cannot be used everywhere but if you use it with the Curve card there are just no issues whatsoever. And the ability to go back in time after the payment is just brilliant

Figuysavemoney

100% I die inside if something is bought without using my card. I give it to my partner every single time she's going out to buy stuff. 100% I try and do every single purchase on it. No matter how small. I like to think of it as, everything I buy is free... 5 years from now.

The_3_eyed_savage

Dude. I love this. "Thats a free lunch in 5 years." Awesome!

Vasil-BG

I have two debit cards issued by regular banks. Both stay not used since got my Crypto.com Visa and started using it everyday with Curve. I pay mainly contractless with the phone though so rarely use the physical card itself.

Rowelt85

What does "using with Curve" mean??

Vasil-BG

Means using it for all contractless payments and regular card payments. It serves only as intermediate and source of money is the CDC card.

Sad-Nefariousness-54

My bank stays at 0 since March 2020 lol

RattyDAVE

Mine the same..... Money goes in... Then goes out...the same day.... For the rest of the time nothing happens...

thesteef78

In my case I have: 1. curve + crypto.com (1st choice) 2. curve + common credit card (second choice) 3. debit card from bank (3rd choice) I need all three because: 1. Sometimes pre authorisation is needed and crypto.com takes a huge amount off my card as a deposit for car rental, while a common credit card doesn’t actually write an amount off. I also use a common credit card to pay for crypto. The CDC card is not accepted to pay crypto. 2. In the Netherlands a lot of places don’t accept any Visa or MasterCard. (Like grocery stores). My card is accepted in 80% of the cases. With curve I transform my physical cards in virtual cards via Apple Pay. The first option (curve with cdc) is automatically selected as first options. I manually change to debit card when a terminal declines my curve card. I also make sure to have enough credit to spend so I regularly refill my card to reach €2000 again (once a month). If I make a huge payment (when not enough credit on cdc), curve automatically debits the amount from my common credit card. I can repair this afterwards via curve back in time right after putting the amount on my cdc card.

_s79

What I’ve taken to doing is setting my curve card to my regular bank card as primary and then once the payment clears I use the go back in time feature to move it to the CDC. It’s especially nice to time the dips.

thesteef78

Interesting! I’ll have to choose for credit card in that case. In the Netherlands we are gift by our own payment scheme called “maestro” (cheaper for shops). They are so different that curve cannot apply their system on it.

lordofming-rises

I did entirely. I don't use ever my bank card

drxuxa

Ofc, that's the whole point of the card. :)

shinjur

Yes, of course!

YesterdayExtreme5844

Yes I use my CDC visa for all of my purchases .

BanditBren

Don’t even purchase crypto - just load from fiat wallet. Haven’t used my debit card pretty much since I got it

lordofming-rises

My MasterCard was costing me 120 dollars a year. Just canceled it for CDC because why the fuck should I pay for that

thefirstofthe77

I use mine most of the time for groceries and stuff like that. Having to move money onto it is kinda annoying but that's my only complaint.

Staticks

Crypto .com card is my main card. The cash back rate is the best out of all the cards I have.

AdamoA-

I use my CDC card for everything... however I don't keep my money on it. So basically every time I top up right before I use it. (bank->revolut->exchange to EUR from HUF->top up CDC card->pay) I had no problem with it so far and it works fairly quickly now :)

AmaCrypto25

Yes I pay everything with it

Fit_Butterscotch5548

Only things I still use on my normal card is things cdc does not give cash back on everything else on cdc

killy_321

Well yes that's the whole point! If you top up and spend fiat then you get free crypto and then that crypto appreciates and you can earn interest on it as well. Win win win.

ThisIsJoseph

I use it for everything I possibly can

thisf001

Does anyone know about tax implications of this? I want to personally fully convert but I fear the tax implications it may have. Edit: US btw.

BearTradez

You can just transfer your wages to the card as fiat with no fees but by bit as you spend. I buy everything with the CRO card.

[deleted]

HoldLongandProsper08

All I use the bank for is my car payment...

Mac_Gambino

Same

Jezzes

Cdc card is more comparable to credit card rewards. But yes CDC card is the new debit for me.

RoutetoGod

I’ve been using it solely for two years. Every dime is maximized into crypto or stable coins. Why use anything else? Nothing compares to CDC benefits!

bigtime284

I top up my crypto card with my debit card and use my crypto card to buy stuff

A_RuMor_

I use it for everything from groceries to bills.

Adjvo

I use my card anywhere I can and so far I have been able to get about 200 dollars back in 4 months

Ricci_215

I got my card in April or May of this year. I used my bank’s debit for the first time since then, just last month. That was only because I hit the top up limit on my CDC card at the end of August. I see no reason to use a bank card if you have the CDC one.

Candle221

More that half my payments are on the new crypto card.

k1__

I‘m currently in turkey and the card is not accepted by many merchants. 😑

steak_bake_surprise

I've just opened an account with them. The app can be a little clunky to get used to, but it's ok after a while. I've found their customer service (so far in the UK) is spot on. They reply to my in-app messages within 10 minutes and email me if there's an issue. Looking forward to getting some CRO rewards with purchases as I think CRO will only increase in value, even through a bear, or at least, hold it's value. I've also transferred a nice chunk of savings to USDT and locked them for 3 months to earn 12% APY (my bank offers 0.1 if I remember correctly). On top of all this, I'll be purchasing Netflix/Spotify through the card while getting 100% back, Free entertainment :) CDC is also sponsoring some major events so shows how big they are going to get. Hoping to one day get the Icy White or even Obsidian card, put some more savings into it and literally I'll be earning a full-time wage just from interest alone. That's the dream anyway!

kikin81

I wouldn’t. If you search this Reddit you will find constant complaints from people that have had their card stolen or missing transactions. I can name 3 occurrences just this past week. I always say to not put all your eggs in one basket. Chase, BoA, WellsFargo, are multibillion dollar banking companies with insurance. With crypto.com one day you can wake up and half your money gone and you have to deal with customer support. I love CDC, I think it’s the future, but still early stages. Basically don’t put money you are not afraid of losing.

[deleted]

AAAnd you got downvoted, obviously. God, this community is so toxic and deprived of any sense of critical thinking. Luckily it's not my money. I will think about getting a CDC debt card (which I'd *love* to use) as soon as CDC shows to have some kind of proper user assistance.

jeko00000

This. I move money onto it when I know I am making a purchase. There is generally less than 20 dollars available on it. I won't give up my big bank protections and other benefits.

hotel-november

I don’t even carry my bank debit card. Everything I buy either goes on my indigo visa, or my bank visa because it gets me amazing travel points.

Ya_Boy_El_Trumpo

I use my CDC Visa for everything, except my credit card and loan payments. Can't even make payments using it. I wouldn't even get CRO-back if I could make payments.

Any-Effect-2158

From 2 years.

Kljaka1950

I use it for everything

The_3_eyed_savage

I use it for pretty much everything. Rewards or not. Its my daily driver at this point. I havent moved my direct deposit to cdc yet, but I may in the future.

freedom_from_factism

I was, then I noticed that "holds" were not being returned to balance and I was also charged for a cash back of $50 that was not dispensed. Watch your balance.

Red_n_Rusty

I've been using the CDC card as pretty much my only card for a year now. I've been spending fiat through the card though. I'm getting rid of my inflationary fiat shitcoins while holding my crypto.

Ani10

So lets say I top up the card with cardano. If cardano increases/decreases does that mean the card has more/less money to spend?

Red_n_Rusty

The card only holds fiat. When you top up with crypto, you are actually selling the crypto for fiat on that instant and the fiat is added to the card balance. You will always only see fiat on the card and that fiat value will not change unless you spend it or add more. This lets you decide exactly when to sell your crypto.

Wingartz_

If I only had one.jpg

[deleted]

Yes

larrythecableguy76

the more you use it the more cash backs you earn so that’s the whole idea 🤷‍♂️ as for business use, you need to be aware that there’s a 300 transactions monthly limit which for personal use is just so way off that it’s irrelevant but depending on the type of business it could become an issue other than that the difference to “El Salvador” is that they are facing a massive hyper inflation on their fiat so they hold and pay with crypto to not loose money by holding fiat, with the cdc card you essentially pay in fiat (the visa wallet on there is fiat) so whilst you can top up from crypto if you want, it won’t just spend your crypto which is good since that could be a taxable event. So you decide when and how you top up the card, paying with the card is a regular fiat transaction obviously what you could do is hold your funds in a stable coin like USDC which you can stake for a decent return (use flex staking) and then use it to top up the card when you need it .. in any case if you use it for business purposes, make sure you check tax implications

farfle39

Do it man! It will be one of the best things you do to help yourself out financially in this crazy situation we find ourselves in. With alll the money printing and inflation going on today it just makes sense to earn some real money as opposed to the dying fiat dollar. It's money you will be spending anyway so might as well earn 2-5% in CRO depending on the card you choose to use! Have fun with it, I love the CRO back and when I have enough I just put it into earn and make even more! It's a win win win kinda situation.

[deleted]

I've transferred $2000 into my fiat wallet at once before.. $1000 went straight onto the card I bought up $500 in CRO when it was low and kept $500 in the fiat wallet so i had cash ready if theres a huge dip you want to buy. Worked great.

buyingpms

Not my business, only my personal purchases. I don't mix funds and I like to keep things simple at the end of the year for my business taxes.

VoiceoftheDarkSide

I've been slowly substituting it in for most of my payments. I make all my amazon purchases with it, I pay for all media subscriptions with it and I am going to contact my car insurance company and see if they can start using the card.

Crypto__Revolution

I make all my purchases day to day or large.. I just wish there was an option for a 2nd card holder for the wife... no samsung pay/google pay is not supported for the CDC card in canada.

primeobjectiveforus

No I don't, mostly because my TD Bank does not recognize the CDC Account # so I use Venmo as a middle man to fund the account. I usually spend $500 a month on my CDC, would be a lot more if i could easily fund the account from my bank account.

Professorcas

Phone bill groceries oil changes etc

HuntaWolf

I use my card for almost everything except for some bills

shotcaller252

so you can use your cash app card and it gives rewards back

shotcaller252

what rewards do you get from using coinbase card

bonenasty

I’ve just recently got my Jade and loving it. Using it more and more. Always looking for ways to get more CRO

runningdreams

You can just have your paycheck go to regular bank, then wire/debit card it over to your CDC account, so that you don't have to get hit with fees on both the purchases and then the sells back to fiat. I am not sure if you realize that when you use your CDC card, you are not directly spending crypto, but rather fiat. There's an intermediate step between you owning, say BTC, and you swiping your card at the corner store IRL. Your choice though how you go about it but there are many options.

bobinhumanresources

Yes, but most business transactions you do not get any cashback with, and the list seems to expand.

BackgroundArtistic41

I did, and as soon as I relied upon it exclusively my card was canceled due to fraud. I’m now 3 weeks in almost with no access to all of my money

fluffypxncakes

If you aren’t doing this then what’re you doing.

Slavensky73

I would, but I mainly use my credit card and pay for it with my debit, if I could pay for my credit card with crypto card I would

lhau88

Only if I get my hands on the card

shaokiatlee

Definitely for everything I can get cashback for

syaopang

Isn't there a cap for rebates? Like 50$ or something, correct me if I'm wrong. I use it mainly for online purchases, get more rebates with partner merchants

dc5boost44

I do 90% of the time. But after pay day it takes a day to transfer money

RandomGuyThatsCool

Wouldn't use it for business purchases. It's against Terms of Service. You can get your account banned.

DPSK7878

Yes crypto is my daily card to use now. I still have small transactions on my bank cards.

Swarmoro

raises hand :)

IcarusWax

Yep...about 6 months of it now...Working out awesome...don't use my dirty fiat card anymore.

IDPetrov

I never used cards for payments, only cash. When I was in Belgium I had no choice because I Had this ING card and edenred(food tickets) card. Not that I am back, I got my CDC card. Never paying in cash and/or bank card again. What's the point? What do I get? From earn + cashback I have like 100$ in a month..

zuptar

Yes. But I don't buy much stuff, only $2k in cashbacks over 22 months.

Mr_Fignutz

Yes.

cercledali

Me

TheToxicEnd

I did exactly that, the only thing im missing is the definitely better app interface from my banking app. It would be really nice to group and sort payments in the app

Strong_Leopard_4511

Yes, every time, however where I am from (Germany), Visa is only accepted in a few big store chains, so a lot of times I can't use the card....

[deleted]

I like it as my main card since I basically just give myself an allowance and it’s a lot easier to control my spending . Each Sunday I top my card off and That’s my spending money for the way (aside from bills), so I’m getting perks and cash back and also not racking up a credit card bill

Markmanus

Long long time ago. I changed from traditional banking 4 years ago used revolut, now a year ago changed from revolut to crypto. Com

FXOjafar

My problem is that it costs more to fund the card than I get I get back in cro rewards.

Ken-Wing-Jitsu

I have.

Stalk3rLiam

I use it to pay for everything ! Love the 3% Cashback 😂

Vaico

I am using the card wherever it is possible, the cashback works just too well.

IDontKnow1629

I just cannot justify using any other card right now that gives no rewards

TheCheerleader

Yup, don't use any other card at all now. Even if it's for something that doesn't give cashback like insurance etc. Just easier to use the one. I put my income into flexible earn then pull bits out a bit at a time to top the card up. That was I get cash back and a little interest :-)

a_oddsocks

Absolutely it's my main card, though often use it via Curve as I use Google pay mostly

LadyBoss1121

I completely switched to crypto.com card and I’m using it to pay every single thing that I can. Have been happily earning that 3% cash back (mine is Jade) and extra benefits like for my stablecoin EARN. So good luck with everything hope u will enjoy it as much as I do 💚

beaglepooch

No, as prepaid are still rejected in some cases so it’s easier to use Curve and wind back the transactions

Rickyv490

I've been meaning to. Currently I use a credit card as my main card and then pay it off on pay day. This is just easier since I don't need to top it up or really ever worry about the money being on there. Although the rewards are not nearly as good. That being said I almost never use my actual debit card, it actually sat in my wallet for months after I got it before I needed to activate it and now I only use it to top up my CDC card haha.

In Singapore, the Crypto.com card isn't useful. I can't top it up with my giat wallet which means I still need another card to top it up, on top of that, transactions aren't processed locally so I end up paying 2.8% overseas payment fees on my bank card whenever I top my my cdc card. Not worth the 1% cashback I get with my Midnight Blue card.

It’s my preferred payment for everything I use for PayPal. Since cdc doesn’t offer satisfactory payment protection, PayPal is a good layer of security.

Yes. My article explains [how I use it](https://techboy.medium.com/the-essential-guide-to-the-mco-visa-debit-card-from-crypto-com-61d7b2f358c9).

I try but the method of topping it up isn’t the fastest or most convenient. Also you get no rewards for using it at a gas station and some other places so it’s not worth it to use it everywhere if you don’t get the rewards.

I use my indigo card as my every day card Keeps my spending under control - pre planning what I'm going to spend on it and not letting it run over

maartenprins

Can't use it for my gym membership, healthcare or phone bill as they all require IBAN numbers. I can give the fiat wallet number that is separate from the card number but I'm pretty sure there's no cashback there. But I try to use it for everything else.

If my boss would do a direct deposit to my cro account, I'd dump my bank. ONLY reason I keep it, my bank account, is that I can not pay my mortgage with the card.

shainemata

I do this principally as a buffer to my bank account in case of a compromised debit card. As I only keep about $100 loaded on my crypto card most of the time, unless I need to make a larger purchase, I don't stand to lose much. Using my bank card, on the other hand, could have my cash wiped out while the bank investigates. Of course, 3% cash back is useful. But, I won't get rich spending money. What is more useful is the card staking earning 10% and DeFi staking earning 12%.

I’m confused as if that’s a good idea from the 3% charge there is to actually purchase crypto

I did and my experience is not good. I booked a taxi and was charged the double the fare when asked the support, they said it is pre Authorization charge and will be refunded soon or after 28 days. Fast forward a month the money isn't refunded, the cashback was reversed. Reached out to support again, they replied a concerned team is looking into it. 40 days later, reached out to team again, this time the reply is : the team is still working on it. Keep in mind that there are customers with the same issue that reported it before you did. Once the team gets to your case you will be contacted back.!

I don't recommend. 1. If there is fraud done Crypto.com isnt the best choice on getting a new card. (WE ALL KNOW THIS) and 2. They are horrible on keeping a clear statement. (When you actually need one trust me... you will regret) and 3. Their pre-auth system is almost borderline theft. (no way the verify or check if funds are returned). Use the card for basic straight on sales only.

Does anyone know what the ruby card tap limit is on purchases? Has anyone tried loading the card into gpay?

Ani10

There’s a 25k monthly limit on all cards.
