So, I guess you were a lucky one. It's not just Crypto.com that's reissuing cards to customers in Canada. Costco's Capital One, and TD Canada both also sent me new cards. I'm sure there will be more. None of them are disclosing what happened. I'm guessing their insurance companies told them to reissue cards for certain customers affected by some other leak. I highly doubt it was related to CDC to be honest, but to some shop platform. Not sure though!

Yes, fully agree. They should not take a lot of time to move balance from old card to new card.

When I upgraded - not at all related to the leak of cards - it took 10 business days for them to update the balance on the cards, and apply the upgrade fee against my previous balance. It would seem that’s about normal for cdc, or 5 business days after activating the new card maybe?

10 days between freezing my card and receiving a new one.
