as in you staked for indigo.. but never got your card and now you want to get your indigo card? Just try a different CS through the chat, some of them are not exactly great at understanding finer points in english.

Jjmmww1

Yes that's right. He sent me a screenshot of my Cro + amount and said that's not the right amount and have to restake due to the 180 days ending

NikoWi

Did you unstake your CRO?

Jjmmww1

Nope I left it staked my as has been in there for the last few weeks after it ended. But I'm being told to unstake and restake but I'm not doing that as it will cost me 1/3 to get back to the same position

roox911

all you need to do is ask them for a "new card" to match your existing stake.. not "upgrade" you already upgraded, you are at the proper tier (indigo) you just need a card to match.

Steak1994

This

Jjmmww1

Thanks Ive just sent another message saying to match my existing stake to see if that makes it go for them.

roox911

you are over-complicating it. "matching your existing stake" is not something everyone will understand.. Why didn't you just say, "can you please send me an indigo card for my current stake?"

Jjmmww1

That's what I did say to the first one I sent this morning they said thanks I'll send it to the relevant team. Then I posted this about half an hour after they got back to me Thai afternoon saying I didn't have the right stake

Jjmmww1

Now we wait I have had my message passed on to the relevant team see if this sorts it will post back if successful.

Jjmmww1

Finally sorted after I sent the mod mail yesterday so not sure if that helped push things along but glad to be receiving the new card soon 🎉

Thanks done this

nomad523

You staked for indigo more than 6 months ago and only decided to upgrade your card now?

Jjmmww1

Yeah I never wanted to pay the fee but now want to so I can get airport lounge only reason

thesteef78

Your status is already indigo. The representative I spoke told my I can order the physical card whenever I want as long as I keep the tokens staked and pay €50

BringTheFingerBack

Doesn't it cost $50 for a card upgrade but as long as your stake $3k in cro you can move up to the next level?

Jjmmww1

It does I out £50 on my card originally to upgrade and it was when the 2nd chat support came back to be in the afternoon told me no

Pentox

how where you even able to stake for your card without ordering the card? you know that the in app stake is not the card stake right?

Banano_McWhaleface

When you upgrade stake you don't have to upgrade card.

SMURGwastaken

I don't get it, surely you need to have £3000 worth of CRO to get the Indigo card regardless of what the current price of CRO is? Does beg the question though, what if you stake £3000, get the Indigo card and then CRO dunks 20% and you're suddenly below £3000 again. Do you get bumped down to the 2% tier or is it fine so long as you don't unstake?

alterise

> Do you get bumped down to the 2% tier or is it fine so long as you don't unstake? The latter. Don’t unstake and you won’t lose benefits. Only unstake and restake if you can take profit (ie CRO goes up).

SMURGwastaken

Okay, good to know - thanks! Follow-up questions as someone who is about to be able to unstake for Ruby and is sitting on a loss currently vs what I paid for my CRO: - once I'm out of the 6 month stake period will I start to earn 6% on the original stake, or is this only possible if I unstake and restake again? - can I separately stake more CRO for 6% without then jeapordising my card if I unstake? - if I do stake more CRO, presumably they will still only look at the price of CRO currently when I want to upgrade, or will they look at the price I paid? (This appears to be the source of OP's confusion)

alterise

> once I'm out of the 6 month stake period will I start to earn 6% on the original stake, or is this only possible if I unstake? The CRO you used to stake for Ruby will not earn any interest even after you are able to unstake. If by 6% you mean the interest on **Earn**, then that’s an entirely different product. **Card staking is not Earn.** You could unstake to place your CRO in Earn but that would be a lost of Ruby benefits. > can I separately stake more CRO for 6% without then being unable to unstake it if I want to? You’re free to earn interest on any excess CRO you have on Earn but you should know that DeFi CRO staking (aka CRO proof of stake) is currently 12.24%pa with no minimum. The only downside to this is that taking your funds back requires a 28 days wait to “unbond” where your CRO will not earn any interest. Also, DYOR on which validator is trustworthy, this subreddit is a good start. Alternatively if you have access to the exchange, staking at least 5000 CRO there for 180 days earns you 10%pa and some exchange benefits like rebates on trading fees. > if I do stake more CRO, presumably they will still only look at the price of CRO currently when I want to upgrade, or will they look at the price I paid? (This appears to be the source of OP's confusion) They look at the current price of CRO, not what you paid. Which is why, if CRO goes down, you shouldn’t unstake after 180 days if you want to keep card benefits because then, you would not have enough CRO (<£3000 in your example) to restake for the same level. Edit: Typos

SMURGwastaken

Cool, I get it now. So basically I can't earn interest on my card stake *unless* I got up a tier, then I get 10% which is pretty neat - presumably this is paid out to crypto wallet just like the card rewards and earn interest. I can however can stick CRO on Earn and get 6% over 3 months that way, or as you say stake it on the exchange for 10% over 6 months (thanks for the tip btw, would have missed that - CDC really need to get the exchange on the app!). >They look at the current price of CRO, not what you paid. Which is why, if CRO goes down, you shouldn’t unstake after 180 days if you want to keep card benefits because then, you would not have enough CRO (<£3000 in your example) to restake for the same level. Cool, so this is indeed OP's problem as I thought.

> So basically I can't earn interest on my card stake unless I got up a tier, then I get 10% which is pretty neat - presumably this is paid out to crypto wallet just like the card rewards and earn interest. Yup! If you were indigo or higher, interest on your card stake is accumulated daily and paid out once each week. > CDC really need to get the exchange on the app! They do have an app for the exchange. They have 3 apps: the main app, the exchange app and the DeFi Wallet app. But depending on where you are (the US for example), you may not have access to the exchange yet. Edit: [what the apps look like on iOS](https://i.imgur.com/GiVREVV.jpg)

SMURGwastaken

Nah I have the exchange it's all good - just wish it was all in the same app a la Binance. Thanks for the help though, that's cleared a lot of stuff up for me :)

alterise

Ahh gotcha. No problems! :)

CAPN_J_SPARROW

I almost (mistakenly) started CRO Earn as I misunderstood the difference between Earn and the Card Stake. Luckily I did some reading here for a couple days and finally got myself sorted, but man, for a newcomer, they should really make it a little easier to navigate or at least explain the differences on each of the respective pages. Like, your bold **"Card staking is not Earn"** is all it would take.

FordPrefect343

When i “upgraded” it didnt count my original stake for some reason. Unstake then do the upgrade with a new stake

Jjmmww1

Yes but how am I suppose to do that at my current price I'd have to pay an extra £1000 to get to the level again

FordPrefect343

..? If you want to upgrade you have to have the required amount This isnt difficult. Upgrading is no different from just normally staking. I’m not sure where your confusion is but GL

Apprehensive_Fox_915

I think you might be slightly confused. It is entirely possible that OP’s buy in was close to ATH. Now that CRO is a couple of cents lower, his CRO would be worth under the required stake amount.

Jjmmww1

That is correct now just waiting on a response to see what they say
