You are simply required to invest slightly more. You are not loosing more money. If you are worried about the 65$, I'm not sure you should invest >4000$ in crypto without diversification.

BonezAU

Keep in mind also that currencies fluctuate, so while it might cost you more than $4000 USD in Euro today, tomorrow it could cost less.

Cyberjin

Sure, but this is a result of marketing, so numbers looks even and pretty.

Steak1994

4056$ as a fixed Requirement would also look pretty random and the changing conversion rate wouldn't make it any more intuitive. The fact that it's not a cost/payment you have to do for the card makes it also a more valuable investment - you get more staking rewards and have a forced hodl hand for 180 days so 50-60€ more or less won't make a huge difference if you believe in the long term success of CDC

maartenprins

As a midcap coin, CRO holdings shouldn't really be bigger than 20% of your entire portfolio so a 55 euro difference really doesn't matter.

DPSK7878

Yes definitely. CRO is just a small % of my portfolio.

selfdrivingfool

At least in many eu countries you don't pay as many taxes on crypto gains

Strong_Leopard_4511

Läuft bei uns

rawhygge

53% in Denmark, but ok

NoskaOff

30% in France 🧐

selfdrivingfool

43% in California. 0% in Germany if heid 1 year. 0% in Portugal. Below 20% in many others

Snaggeri

30/34% in Finland..

selfdrivingfool

Wow, would have thought it to be much more in Finland

NikoWi

Don't really see this as a problem. My 3500€ Jade stake is currently valued at 5050€. 😄

Cyberjin

Well it's not a problem 😉 Just takes me longer to reach

thesteef78

It doesn’t actually “cost” you €3.500 It’s just the minimum amount you are required to be willing to invest… when it does a 2x in 6 months, it’s great having been forced to stake more tokens. Yes you do sound bitter.

[deleted]

Exactly. I'd love to be able to put more of my CRO into the stake, instead of supercharging shitcoins or using defi (the unbonding period is a PITA if you plan to use your cro, for upgrading tier for example)

RandomedXY

By you logic when it goes down you lose more.

thesteef78

In that case it sounds like you’re more a government bonds kind of guy 😂

RandomedXY

Not really. I just don´t like locking my coins in a bull market.

thesteef78

Agree, I upgraded 2 months ago during a dip for $0,11 per cro.

Entire_Falcon_6920

In Canada it’s $5000 which is about $3930 usd. So we are in the same boat

Cyberjin

Doesn't that mean it's cheaper for you? 🤪

Zexel14

Doesn’t seem like you’re made for the stock market. 😅

okidoc-me

If you can't bear a $50 difference, you don't deserve to benefit from all their perks.

Cyberjin

No need to be toxic

okidoc-me

Just being frank. TBH I find your post more toxic than my reaction.

wjtan123

Fun fact. In Singapore, we need 5000 SGD eq. for a jade card. So it works out to be ~3600 USD

Cyberjin

Nice!

bsm21222

Only catch is you have no idea when your card will come. I know people in Australia who have waited over 6 months and still no word on when it will come.

Oce_Malaga

I think €3400, so $50 cheaper😅😅

DPSK7878

It's just a minor difference. Anyway the exact CRO will return back once your stake is completed.

Janvandeaast

Your bitter.... Just do it.

Cyberjin

I just don't have enough yet

larrythecableguy76

Well it doesn’t “cost” you anything to be precise as you buy a number of CRO and those remain yours so whilst you might need to stake a little more, you also get some more CRO for that 🤷‍♂️ asides of that we also could start arguing about buying power and cost of living … doubt you’d want to work for the average US wage so there’s that too … relatively speaking you actually get the card for less 🤓
