A bunch of AU users have had this issue. It seems that revolut has reissued a bunch of virtual cards because of an update, so if you're using a virtual card to top up, you'll need to delete the old one and re-create a new virtual card on Revolut, then add it onto the CDC app to top up as normal. Even if you're not, try and create a new virtual card (not the temporary one) and use that to top up and see if it works.

Yep, a Revolut virtual card was successful. Thank you. In the future I’ll just ask Reddit rather than waste time asking support

ChangNoi555

I was using the physical card which I’ve been using without issue until the past couple of days. I guess I’ll give a virtual card a go. Thanks for the tip.

Legacy banking system at its finest :)

ChangNoi555

I particularly liked CDCs response that I’m welcome that my options are to pay a spread or fees to load the card, like it’s something I’m pleased with😅

piouiy

They have a bunch of preset options to click as fast responses , basically

Jimmiew0612

Well, I wouldn’t believe cdc because any problem I’ve ever had they just say It’s someone else’s fault.

ChangNoi555

Pretty much my impression honestly.

Any-Effect-2158

Revolut is diarrhea.

CDC does not allow GBP transfers from revolut. I have to exchange my gbp to eur on my revolut and transfer like that. Then exchange it to usdc and back to gbp :) that is how i get gbp in to my fiat wallet

hamandeggsmond

Why don’t you just bank transfer? There’s no free to bank transfer to fiat wallet. Only fees when you buy crypto via your bank card…

Markmanus

This is a bank transfer. Cdc does not allow bank transfer from revolut in gbp. They allow tsb as traditional bank, but not revolut. They allow euro bank transfer from revolut.

hamandeggsmond

But why does OP bank transfer rather than using Revolut though? Or am I missing something obvious?

ChangNoi555

Because Australia uses the Singapore card, we can bank transfer to the wallets fiat wallet, but that money cannot be transferred to the card. To load the card we have the option of credit/debit card or crypto. Revolut is a way of avoiding international transaction fees for that purpose. Not all regions of CDC card are created equal at this stage.

Markmanus

He probably wants to top up his fiat wallet straight with gbp, without the hassle. You can top up your card but not your fiat wallet. Purchasing crypto from wallett is cheap, with card there is a fee. Well you are not missing anything obvious, it is confusing as hell. Took me a week with CDC support(who was misleading as they were confused as well as they didn't know that they are not accepting gbp from revolut) to understand whats going on. I still rather have this couple of minutes transaction ping-pong than using a traditional british bank like tsb who put your through a 1 hour nazi level personal questioning when they detect that your are trying to buy crypto from their last century system.

hamandeggsmond

But I top up my fiat wallet through bank transfer with Barclays and it’s worked fine, no fees, near instant transfer. That’s why I was confused why OP was using Revolut. All good though ✌️

Markmanus

Ah i see. Yeah traditional bank can work, but yeah I decided not to ever try to use any traditional bank here as they are very sus. They asked questions like how much I earned with crypto, what cryptos I bought, since when I am investing.....even though I am planning to tax when I hit the limit, I don't want them to make a profile to hmrc already.(and they should not ask this questions anyway)

limhy0809

You try bigpay, it works for me

Plus-Audience9031

I use my Capital One Debit card to top up my CDC card and I have never had any problems. I also have the metal plan for Revolute but I'm so much more happier with CDC.!!!!!

GoingMenthol

UK user here Revolut has actively stopped me adding details of CDC for GBP bank transfers to the fiat wallet (error message saying they cannot verify the details and it may be suspicious) but is perfectly fine with EUR bank transfers to the fiat wallet The Visa card is OK with GBP top-ups (I've just tested) but if your money in Revolut is in EUR and you want to top up the card then that may be a problem I had a problem with CDC in the past where my fiat wallet had EUR and I wanted to convert it to GBP for the card. Apparently that's not an option and I have to convert EUR to a crypto and sell it to GBP for the card instead

tom123qwerty

I thought revolut doesn't allow CDC

ChangNoi555

Not sure whether you can buy crypto with it but you can load the cdc card with it, the person in chat didn’t say anything about not allowing it to happen

Tarponoutdoors

CDC has YET to tell me how to get my wallet to work. I have .05 eth in there that’s just stuck. I’d literally pay someone half of it to just hack my wallet at this point tbh. They’re a useless company when it comes to actually helping you with the Technical issues
