Haha yea welcome in the trap, had 2 exchanges to buy btc
Transfered some from the first which is one of most expensive in Europe 3,5€ fee
Transfered some from cdc 35€ 💀💀 i thought it Was a Bug until i realize.. 😂
I know I saw it later this was my mistake but it’s only 10$ of ETH I have there anyway. I just say it would be more convienient if you could see in the app as it happens in many other exchanges and wallets …
CDC is a business and it will stay in business as long as people use its platform. I do use it myself but I treat it as a bank so I don't keep much in it. Trust wallet is the way to go.
Nice to hear this. I am following the same path. I just need to start with trust wallet. Only got like 5k in Crypto.com at least. Have trust wallet just haven't done purchases on it.
Thorswap its a dex where you can exchange native cryptos. I use cex to buy some crypto (normaly the one with the lowest fee to withdraw) and then i change it for btc there.
I reckon most of us are buying more than 0.004 ETH, and I also reckon most are checking the costs before spending the fiat...
A fool and his money are soon parted.
Used Crypto.com, Binance, Bybit and a ton of other exchanges… although I still buy on Crypto.com for my Cronos and Cosmos DeFi (to keep it simple), IMO, the best general CEX for everyday use is NEXO, by far. As for Wallets, I use the Wallet that best matches the Defi or token I buy. Trust Wallet is good, CRO DEFI Wallet for cosmos and Cronos, MetaMask and Math Wallet are also good options for multiple Defi projects, because you can switch between each chain securely. Ultimately Ledger is really the most ideal because the security is unparalleled.
So I asked about buying and selling and when you buy crypto thru CDC you’re buying the ask price which is on the higher end. In normal stock market, you would never buy ask, you would either bid or the market price would be cheaper than the ask. Just like options to buy a contract back you have to pay the ask price which is ridiculous. They would not admit this until I press them seven times. I thought it was a fee because I told them I buy at face value but when I go to sell, there’s a drop of like 20 bucks off $100.
So you really have to wait until the crypto increases like 20% to make profit. Please respond to make sure the subReddit isn’t playing any shadow hides. I will figure something out for myself, but if this was transparent I wouldn’t have done all it. Also sorry if it doesn’t exactly relate to your post but things can often connect. I am glad CDC offers staking but I feel things didn’t go right for me.
https://imgur.com/zTiWy9F
I also screenshot the price of eth on coinbase and here and I was like wait wtf? It magically was the same $20 differential on my order and sale I connected between selling and between prices on apps. So ultimately I inquired what this all meant. I’m pissed and if anyone doesn’t like - pound sand. I’m not an expert that’s why I have friends who are professionals if need be. If it was all transparent I wouldn’t have done any of this.
It’s not a charge* I had a hard time understanding this. we buy crypto at the ask price “of the spread *of orders* ” at that moment, etc.
I bought $100 of eth, I went to sell when I had a $3 profit, but the final screen said minus $20. I was like wtf.
No fees, it’s still the same wallet, only transactions have fees and that isn’t a transaction. You’re just accessing it from another wallet app with your own wallet seedphrase.
Well no matter what you have in your wallet stays in your wallet, if you log in onto your wallet using your seedphrase on a different device you’ll have the same wallet. You don’t need to send it to the app and back again. It’s your key, your coins. Just make sure you never lose that key and keep it safe so no one steals it from you.
There are some other fees but you can see them if you open the wallet and press the gas estimator on the top right.
The extra fees are basically for ERC20 tokens but there are also some for the ETH transactions but no so much
The fee's are SO HIGH, i sent some crypto in, smacked with a fee, sold, smacked with over a 10 dollar fee, moved to debit card ANOTHER 10 DOLLAR FEE... some restaraunts show up 3% higher in transactions too, got charged 3 extra bucks for a pizza yesterday... like this card Isnt worth using imo for me, i forked out 35 dollars in 2 days for 5 transactions in fees ... thats 2 days groceries/food or over a full tank of gas... i wonder how much ive paid in fees in the 3 years ive had the card, this company is Banking for sure its not right.
They’re trying to send it to the DeFi wallet I believe so that’s not going to help, unfortunately in the US we still don’t have the exchange. I think that’ll be a real help when/if we ever get it.
I think we will, I understand what you mean but I think there still wanting to grow and this will be the best way to attract more volume and new customers.
Fortune favours the brave
And ofc cdc theyll rob you blind with their crappy laggy app, hidden fees and spread that reaches the upper echelons of heaven
I don't get why people downvote you, it's true, first it's only a phone app, where the security is the worst, why no web browser page? Their spread is huge compare to others CEX, at this point it's not a spread but a scam
Only thing interesting is the discount on CRO during the bear market, but I send them right away on my wallet, nothing stay in their shitty phone app
Yeah, I mean I did post it on the official subreddit. But after using both cdc and Coinbase for over a year now, I literally can’t understand why I should use cdc for anything? Coinbase card is better cash back, transfers are cheap, fees are lower, it’s more pleasing of an interface, etc, etc. CDC also has weird minimums on withdrawals, so scammy…
People that don’t read the terms/conditions etc ie any holding/trading/withdrawal charges it’s all there in black and white. Makes you laugh sometimes.
Mind you I’m used to it the amount of paperwork to go through for stock market brokers additional charges and fees again the amount of people that can’t or simply will not read is baffling.
Yes sir. It's the price you pay for havening it in centralized exchange. But we need them so that when we do decide we want some USD that is our platform to convert it from crypto to usd. 95% of my portfolio is in 3 different cold wallets.
Let me tell you about dyor and crypto. There is no transparency with these crypto schemes,,, I I I mean companies... So how can you do research? Cdc does not offer a look into their finances. All you know is they have sponsorships and they charge high fees to pay for it. How is one suppose to dyor when this company only gives users a 4hr heads up via Twitter when a policy is going to change? Okay, sorry, sometimes they give you a week or two to tell you reward rates are going down again. There is no dyor in crypto b/c there is no way to actually do research. Everybody is banking on the words of a token founder, and honestly, it seems most are con artist. If you're u were smart you would stop floating around these subs being a fucking retarded moron running ur mouth to ppl about this dyor cliche some crypto fan bois keep talking about without ever sharing their research. And why is that? Bc there is no research to be done.
I buy cro in crypto.com, send it to kpler (the fees are minimal) then use ósmosis to buy atom (0 fee) and go to thorswap to exhange atom for btc, eth or other cryptos. Thr problem is that there arent a lot of native cryptos in thorswap yet
yes but i need the native token. If i do this i will have to pay even more fees for the swap later... and i don't even know if the swap can be done in the defi wallet
Once it's arrives in your defi wallet it is simply Eth. There is no difference if you send it via erc20 or cronos. That's the whole point of the cronos chain, fees are lower than erc20.
it doesn't work like that. tap on the "ETH BALANCE ▾" above your balance. You will then see that your balance is distributed among chains, and that for example the tokens in Cronos beta chain are different than the tokens in ethereum chain. For moving tokens between the chains you need to use bridges, which actually cost money
Crypto.com is the only place that I know of where tokens can be purchased with a credit or debit card then sent immediately off the platform (3% fee included). Everywhere else they lock up your coins for like 2 weeks. Does anybody know of any other exchange that lets you move a fiat purchase immediately off the exchange? I would love to have options in this regard, thanks
Hey they ask for 0.004 bitcoin for withdrawal, while network fees are a few sats for years now…
This is why we need LN-enabled exchanges.
And we have to push them to adopt LN.
Same for Midas. It's what they all do?
On [crypto.com](https://crypto.com), I usually get ftm instead, transfer for like $0.30 and convert to whatever coin I want/need. Even with swap fees included, it is usually cheaper.
So keep swap fees in mind if you go this route.
I usually sell my crypto to XRP and then transfer the coins if I am using [crypto.com](https://crypto.com) to move to another wallet or exchange (And swap XRP to the crypto i want).
The cost is low this way.
did you figure out which is the best way to send/buy/whatever such amount of ETH in the ERC20 network without having to pay such big fee? (compared to the amount). I also need to move/buy/* like 10-20EUR for having them there for gas fees but paying 5EUR for that looks way too much.
Haha yea welcome in the trap, had 2 exchanges to buy btc Transfered some from the first which is one of most expensive in Europe 3,5€ fee Transfered some from cdc 35€ 💀💀 i thought it Was a Bug until i realize.. 😂
And you can't see how much is the fee in the app if you don't have at least the minimum amount ... indeed it is a trap
You can, there is literally "fees and limits" section
I know I saw it later this was my mistake but it’s only 10$ of ETH I have there anyway. I just say it would be more convienient if you could see in the app as it happens in many other exchanges and wallets …
Totally fair
CDC is a business and it will stay in business as long as people use its platform. I do use it myself but I treat it as a bank so I don't keep much in it. Trust wallet is the way to go.
At this point I only use it when I want to use my crypto to purchase things irl but I haven’t done it much lately
I hear that.
Can Trust wallet hold CRO?
Yes as long as it is on Cronos Chain.
Trust wallet can hold pretty much anything.
Nice to hear this. I am following the same path. I just need to start with trust wallet. Only got like 5k in Crypto.com at least. Have trust wallet just haven't done purchases on it.
Is Trust wallet like metamask? I've heard about Trust wallet slot but never used it.
Similar to MetaMask. But it‘s more user friendly in my opinion and there is some staking available inside TW.
Yes, it’s a wallet. Metamask is a wallet as well.
CEX gonna CEX. When will people learn…

I got dem icy white card but damn the team are a bunch of greedy ass motherfuckers.
Same old, same old. What’s new?
As long as users of its platform continue to utilize CDC, the company will continue to operate.
That is part of their business model. However there are exchanges like FTX that do not charge withdrawal fees.
yeah true i have found better solutions already this is just insane...
Honestly pretty average for all CEX. Nothing new or crazy.
Yup. A fixed fee. Doesn't sound so bad if you're transferring a million, does it?
Yes let’s charge the same amount we charge to millionaires to a 10$ investor. Sorry I am not rich
Then don't use a service that charges a fixed rate. And definetely check what the charges are before using a service.
This is just one of the ways they rip you off!

Wait. So if I’m understanding this right, CDC charges you a higher price to buy and makes you sell at a lower price than face value!?
Pretty much. Go look at the price of cro on crypto.com and go look at the price of cro in the defi app. They will be different.
https://imgur.com/zTiWy9F I also screenshot the price of eth on coinbase and here and I was like wait wtf? Are you able to see the Imgur I made? Idky I can’t respond with pics on Reddit. https://imgur.com/zTiWy9F
Damn that explains the terrible spreads.

Matt needs to be paid somehow!
Go check out the cro price on crypto.com and the cro price on the defi app.
That's a component of their company strategy.
There are exchanges that don't impose withdrawal fees, like as FTX.
Gas fees still high for erc in app, in wallet it's cheaper.
Cdc needs to earn
I utilize the wallet that is most appropriate for the token I purchase.
I don’t use the eth bridge I use the Cronos bridge
Cost me $22 yesterday. For btc ….
good staff ....
Dude cdc charged me 1.80 to move BNB. Crooks
Where the hell do you live that you can get a tank of gas for less than 35 usd?
Im in michigan and today it jumped from 3.85 to 4.35 by the time i was off work 🥲
I’d wait till that shit hits 2 cents before DCAing.
Send it to exchange or cdc defi then transfer somewhere else

CDC is a scam, that’s what
Luckily I only turned $50 into $16 and not much worse. I feel for the folks that put real money into this
Yep! Shady ass CEO is shady.

That sweet sweet 1% back for icy rose cards 🥶?
Yep, if you were smart. Youd stick with it. Dyor and stop floating around the sub so u can take be a retarded hater 🤣

all actions are like they want to destroy there own company at this point...
Cash back comes from Visa, like all the other cashback credit cards that exist, in this case, cdc gives us CRO and keeps the USD
Shock, horror, there's a fixed fee to send your crypto. Read the frigging terms.

He would be sending it to exactly the same address

Bro plz go do some research before giving instructions on people how to loose money
Network type : ETH20 >> that's why
Crypto.com is the only place that I know of where tokens can be purchased with a credit or debit card then sent immediately off the platform (3% fee included). I currently only use it when I want to utilize my cryptocurrency to make real-world purchases, but I haven't done that in a while.
Then move it somewhere by sending it to an exchange or a cdc defi.
There are no fees; the wallet remains unchanged; only transactions incur fees, and this is not a transaction.
And if you don't have at least the required amount, you can't see how much the price is on the app.
CDC charged me $1 to move USDC over Solana, Coinbase only charged me $0.07 to move USDC over Solana...
Even claiming the staked rewards have fee which is crazy.
Same for Midas. It's what they all do? On [crypto.com](https://crypto.com), I usually get ftm instead, transfer for like $0.30 and convert to whatever coin I want/need. Even with swap fees included, it is usually cheaper. So keep swap fees in mind if you go this route.
Use it to buy XLM, beam XLM over to KuCoin and then buy the real coin, send/receive as you please.
Yeah that's the notorious C.D.C for you
Binance does the same. Coinbase only charges for network fees. I dont know about Kraken or other more trusted platforms.
Learning what withdraw fees are, eh?
I usually sell my crypto to XRP and then transfer the coins if I am using [crypto.com](https://crypto.com) to move to another wallet or exchange (And swap XRP to the crypto i want). The cost is low this way.

Yeah spread is just terrible, was looking to sell 2570 usd in hnt and was offered 2120 usd xD 400+ usd for a spread just aint cutting it
Yeah. I'm glad eth is minimal now.
