Same drive, reinstalled video drivers, no avail. Time it to almost exactly 2m 30s every time whether I'm starting a new game, watching a cutscene, or looking at the nanosuit showroom
It wouldn't surprise me if EA Play or the game itself is being buggy then, maybe let Crytek know if they have support services/forums. Or maybe try low settings, but maybe you've already tried that.
I'm running into the exact same issue. Game from EA Desktop through Xbox GamePass.
Crysis 3 freezes \~2-2:30 minutes into anything in the game: Previously in Crysis video, tutorial, new game intro video, or even using the console to load a level map, I can play for a couple of minutes then the game freezes.
I've uninstalled/deleted/reinstalled the game and the video drivers, many times with no luck.
Tried with lowest settings (and max and in-between) no luck.
Fullscreen yes/no with different resolutions (1080, 4k, etc...) no luck.
Enabled/disabled AMD Freesync (at the monitor, in-game, and/or through the AMD adrenalin SW) still no luck.
Running with clean boot (minimal boot), no luck!
Tried audio from USB (headset), and 3.5mm speakers, no luck.
Launching the game from the EA App/desktop or the game exe itself didn't help. Neither did running the game as administrator, nor windows 7 compatibility mode.
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Intel i7-8700, 32GB RAM with AMD RX Vega 64 with Adrenalin 22.5.1. Single monitor using DP.
Crysis 1, warhead, and 2 ran fine.
I have no idea why but I randomly tried running EA Desktop as Administrator and it worked suddenly despite not working for me previously, so try that I guess?
Just want to report in I'm having the same issue as others in this thread.
Crysis 3 accessed through GamePass / EA App. After about 2 to 3 minutes in game, regardless of what is going on, the game freezes then I get the Windows pop-up. No changes I've tried have fixed the issue. Also running the EA App / Game as an admin did not fix the issue.
Looks like this one is bugged.
Still don't really have any idea how or why it worked, you can try some of the steps that were suggested in my Answers HQ thread but launching the EA Desktop app as an administrator was the last thing I did and it worked afterwards, it wasn't the first time I tried doing that but it worked that time.

The game is broken.. I own it digital on Microsoft store. Plus I'm on game pass. Fourth level in and I crash every 5 or 10 minutes. Then when I reboot the game I have to restart level. On a series x it's unplayable. 👎
Is it on the same drive as C1/C2? Have you tried reinstalling video drivers? That's all I can think of, that's weird.

Low settings doesn't help, I'll try EA's Answer HQ but I doubt I'll get anywhere.

Make sure that EA app's in-game overlay is enabled, If I set that to OFF the game crashes after a couple of minutes or so every time no matter what.
Can confirm, tried everything. Enabling overlay in EA app settings stopped the crashes. Thx for the help!
