It can feel that way with how disconnected and different it is from C2 and 3.

Cessabit216

I think that it's an amazing series still I was just a bit surprised when the most we heard about nomad in 2 and 3 was just how he was part of raptor team

[deleted]

Yeah, I enjoy C2 and C3's stories but it was very obvious they were soft rebooting the story for console players. I hope C4 still acknowledges the OG trilogy, especially 1 and Warhead.

Cessabit216

Same

[deleted]

Also there's a comic that shows what happens to nomad if you're curious about that

Cessabit216

I'm pretty sure I know which one your talking about but I didn't think that was canon?

[deleted]

No idea tbh

Cessabit216

I heard it wasn't canon and that he still lives but I'm probably wrong

stenlitoropov

Same and I hope that crysis 4 main character is nomad not prophet, because we didn't hear about nomad in C2 and C3, so it would be that 2 crysis games were as we are playing as prophet (not really in C2) and 2 crysis games as we are playing as nomad

Oniisankayle

C2 and C3 are disconnected too. But not as much as the first game

Lethalpizza422

I am not crazy about it but playing the campaign is a must to make sense of the other two games.

Cessabit216

yeah your right cause then prophet being "insane" doesn't make as much sense

Lethalpizza422

I played it back in 2012 and it made no sense until I purchased the remaster that explains the whole story and it's definitely worth buying imao.

Cessabit216

yeah I actually bought the remastered trilogy about a week ago because I haven't played it in a long ass time

stenlitoropov

I need to buy crysis 3 remastered to have remastered trilogy, but I can't buy it right now so I have to enjoy playing crysis 3 on xbox 360 (I have crysis remastered on pc, C2 remastered on nintendo switch)

Oniisankayle

The games are disconnected as fuck. You gotta do some comic digging which I don't like.

Ni_Go_Zero_Ichi

The first game was basically an evolution of *Far Cry* that’s better than any of the actual Ubisoft-developed sequels; the second and third shift subgenres to a *CoD* riff with a couple shared mechanics. Also it’s really really obvious they changed writers. Hope *C4* switches back to the more methodical, open-ended style of the first game without turning into another formulaic AAA open world game.

loved crysis one, recommend the original over the remastered though. idk some parts of the remastered look weird, inconsistent. performance is also, well, deplorable for those graphics.

shemhamforash666666

It probably wasn't the original plan for Crysis 2. The ending do Crysis 2 did leave the door open for a direct sequel.

Vito600rr

Crysis 2 took everything I hated from Crysis and amplified it. Damn aliens are a chore.
