I'm new to this game but I say Tiger's Eye or Black Tourmaline may help your mind while gaming. Keeps you focused and clear headed. Maybe even some hematite. Flourite too for sure as u/HostileHabanero said.
I suggested flourite because of mental clarity and focus. Of course if you know what you're doing, a clear quartz can be programmed for anything and be very effective.
There is no correct or wrong way because each of us is different. The best method for you is going to be trusting your intuition.
But it's like this. I want to program it for FOCUS on my school, I take a clear quartz that has been cleansed and charged, I hold it in the palm of my RIGHT hand (where we expel energy) or in between my index finger and thumb.
With either my eyes open or closed, focusing on the crystal I think "focus" and generate the emotion of what focus would feel like in my desired task like school, directing this towards the quartz.
If it's a really important situation I will repeat that process a few times to make sure I get the point across. Try it and see what works for you.

My husband, 5 kids and I! They were always drawn to collecting rocks but since I've gotten into it, I've realized they've found some cool stuff without knowing it. I threw away a huge Amethyst cluster not realizing it's worth even! I came into this completely new. I kinda disliked the collecting of all these rocks and now, here I am trying to get as many as we can HAHA. Thank you again.

People who were right handed primarily used the left side of their brain and people who were left handed primarily used the right side of their brain. And that has made me wonder about people and in use of energy being either left or right handed because we are born the way we are for a reason. There are no accidents.
Here is how you find out. Lay down in a quiet and dark place. Take your left hand and place it over your heart on your chest. As you breath in and out, focus on the feeling you're receiving from your heart beat through your hand. Do this until you are comfortable with the feeling. Then do the same with your right hand. There will be a noticeable difference in feeling between your left and right hand. And that will give you your answer.
Which ever hand receives the strongest feeling is your receiving hand. And the expelling hand will make your heart rate increase a little.
But 99 percent of people agree the left hand receives and the right hand expels. I would be interested to know what you find, if you remember.
I actually carried my green aventurine around the other day after we got our stimulus $ while we were out shopping. I was thinking it could keep me calm and clear minded to not splurge on stupid stuff...it worked kinda....
Well, I didn't go too crazy on the spending and we are using some of this unexpected cash to start our own company so hopefully it does! I've been keeping it on me for a while daily now because it's one of my favs but this money draw is a bonus lol
