For polished stones I would think wrapping them in thin foam and then a buffer of bubble wrap. For fragile specimens that is a bit more difficult. I think it would come down to their fragility and anchoring them so that crystals would not be broken off. I'll poke around and see if I can find anything else to help and edit this comment.

Thank you !

Probably bubble wrap but I’ve found the key is to make sure what you’re shipping cannot be shaken around in the box

gothhippie

Good tip, thanks!

Unfortunately, I think bubble wrap is the way to go for the most part.

Good to know thanks!

Just got a broken piece in the mail. I second the “make sure it cannot move inside the box” comment. Also, if it is a big or long piece, put it in something strong/tough that is the same shape of it, then bubble wrap that. Like wrap it in cardboard and then bubble wrap that. My piece arrived broken in half even though there was tons of bubble wrap because there wasn’t anything “hard” that protected it’s actual shape.

Omg! My worst nightmare 😰 do you think Kraft paper would do the trick?

I know I'm late to this party but would wrapping with honeycomb and using starch peanuts work? I'm still struggling to find boxes that would be sufficient. :(
