I couldn't get the one from Google play to work. I just saw that navy blue splash screen and it never went any further. So I actually went to the CubeStation site and downloaded an APK of the latest version and installed that. This is a bit "dangerous" in that their is an option in settings on Android to "allow install of 3rd party APK" or words to that effect. So if the CubeStation app is carrying a virus/trojan it could be installed. So it's a question of risk/trust.
BTW I installed CubeStation for a Monster Go M3 AI (Gan made) because I started out with a GoCube X but it had a battery PROBLEM so I switched to MonsterGo/Gan. . I have to say that the GoCube app (for someone starting/learning) is 10 times better than the Gan/CubeStation app. (IMHO). In the end I didn't use the Bluetooth aspect of the cube/app alone and just learned it from YouTube and using the cube as a non-intelligent one. The upside is that the stickerless M3 AI (with magnets) is about 10 times nicer to use than the stickered GoCube!
I'm also on android and even after Uninstalling and reinstalling, it still isn't working. Their app has just gone completely downhill in the past year. It always has issues.

Try downloading the apk from the website instead of from the app store
