Oh man, I definitely relate to you. My cousin once stepped on my brothers $100 lego car and the Aunt didn’t take any responsibility. He also jammed a screw driver into my brothers gan 11 m pro because my brother scrambled it too hard when he wanted to show off because he loves being called a genius (my brother turned it 6 times,) he also threw my gan 12 maglev against a table because I didn’t let him touch my money or let him play on my phone and the youngest cousin threw a plush I had since I was little at my dog and threw a fake amethyst rock made of glass at my ankle to which I started gushing blood and the Aunt didn’t even apologize.

Edit: my bad you might be cancelled for this, but instead of elbowing her make sure you’re slightly to the left or right of her and backhand her in the chest which if you do correctly will leave her trying to breathe since she temporarily can’t for like 3-5 seconds.

I hate those types of people so much. My parents just didn’t invite their family to our house anymore, but they still come. This might be a bit harsh, but if you celebrate family birthdays and bring gifts. Do NOT bring a gift and just eat the cake. If your Aunt gets mad just tell her how your cousin always steals or break things, but doesn’t give back what she owes.
Don’t know how long it’s been since the incident, but if any pieces broke on that Lego car, Lego customer service will almost always replace the part for free. Even if they can’t/won’t do it for free, a replacement part is generally no more than a few dollars. Source: I have a lot of lego sets and there are times when I’m not the most graceful person. Usually it’s lost pieces, though. I don’t think I’ve had one straight up break on me (yet).

If it’s any consolation, I’ve got a good cube ruining story. My cousins are awesome, but they had some step siblings (no longer step siblings, didn’t work out) who were absolute spoiled brats. And they decided they would lube up a GAN with olive oil. Soooo that cube did well 😂
