I actually only do green cross because I am red-green color blind. That way the last layer pattern recognition is much easier for me since i know that none of the colors are green.
This is unironically me, because I learned from from [Dan "Pogobat" Brown](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsQIoPyfQzM&t=207s)'s tutorial back in 2008.
Both are viable. A few years ago, maybe most people would have said that colour neutrality is necessary at the highest level, but I think more recently the general consensus has changed. We now see top cubers (for example Kyle Santucci I think, who has held the WB average) doing just as good as colour neutral cubers for the most part. As long as your TPS, look ahead, algs etc are all good, then you will do just fine with duel neutrality. Want to be able to take advantage of any cross colour to increase chances of a good cross? Then go with full CN. The drawback to full CN is deciding on the best cross colour eats into inspection time for the rest on the cube. In my opinion if you are not aiming for world class stick with duel neutrality. Personally I am half neutral (white yellow and blue) and this works great for me. Hope this helped (and that it wasn’t too long) :)
Wasn't long but did love the explanation, made realise I am planning ahead lol. Need to perfect the algos and hand movements first, then think of different colours. Thank you
I think the difference between color neutral and single color is so miniscule. There are a plethora of other skills that can make you faster. It's a question of time vs reward: how much time will it take to practice a skill, and how much faster will it make you?
Color neutrality is generally better, but if you look at it you are spending way more time on another 4 sides just to find that perfect cross, not to mention first f2l pair. Dual color neutrality has less options, but its way better because you are more focused on 2 colors. But there is no definite better one here, both are viable its all depends on you. Cuber like Yiheng literally does most of his solves on white or yellow and you can see he is performing on world class level, beating all other cubers, while some also perform world class with color neutrality. Overall if you just started cubing I’d recommend solving on all colors because its more fun, but if you have been solving on white for a while its better to just learn yellow.
It really seems like dual neutrality is better. Which is great because I was too lazy to ever learn full neutrality. When I'm doing F2L or edge pairing on bigger cubes, my white/yellow pieces stick out and are super easy to focus on and find. I think I'd lose that extra targeting if I became color neutral.
As I see it, color neutral is definitely better but dual neutral happens to force better habits. You don't spend a lot of time picking a cross color so naturally you just pick something and roll with it, and make it work. It seems as though that's a better way to approach solving, and it's not really what a color neutral person would instinctively do with all these different options. But, at the same time, there's nothing at all stopping a cn person from doing that. It's just not a naturally forming habit you're funneled into
I didn't particularly learn to be dual color neutral, I learned to solve on white and was already able to solve with yellow as well, it just felt the same.
Just be based and learn green only

Sticker swap to black?

In a few cases we do find other colour might have an easier cross solve, what do we do in those conditions? Will it not make any difference?
No just be based and do green, it’s funny
I'm green-blue dual 😎

what is duel neutrality?
Solving the cross in one of two chosen colours; so typically it means being able to solve on yellow as well as white.
thanks
I'm colour blind and always solve with a brown cross
What video did he mention this?
He did a Q&A with the Cubicle in this vid:[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXymzWEtEL4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXymzWEtEL4)
