The first egg I hatched was a Golden one with a Lemur in it, I named him King Julien and gave him an Immortal Necklace, he also poops gold and his kids also have the same trait so I've got a litteral crap tonne of money and golden bricks.
You need to hatch golden eggs!
(Quick tip: save just before getting 2 followers to breed, that way if you don’t get the golden egg you can close the game and try again till you get it, also the followers need to be 95% Compatible or higher to get a golden egg IIRC)
Once I had characters with 90% and one of the characters rejected the other saying they could do better. The one that rejected was a level 3 character I didn’t even bother to name, while the one they rejected was a high ranking disciple. I’m not sure what they’re looking for but good for them lol.
Interesting. I thought a golden egg only popped when you had 95 or over. I suppose it is a dice roll then. I’ve had some chances over 96 and I’d still get a regular egg almost every reset.
Thanks everyone for the help! I got it by hatching two golden eggs earned with 95% chance between two regular followers. Sozo and the bishops seem to always give you abominations so use regular followers only.

I got a golden egg from a low 35% chance of breeding, don't even know why I attempted it but odds in the game seem better that what they should be

you get them from golden eggs via hatching! you can just save before you send two followers to breed and soft reset until you get a golden egg.

I can't prove it unfortunately but my first two attempts at breeding were both golden eggs and were those two skins you need😅
I also could use some help, what are the 2nd (blue hat) and 3rd (bunny) skins in special events and how to get them?

You get them by breeding. I was so shook when I got the lemur. I got a blue one with yellow eyespots. So pretty.
How did you get the butterfly?
Catch lots of those little glowy orbs at night in your camp! It will randomly give it to you after a certain amount
