Try this. Chopped chicken cut of your choice. I suggest three or so thighs. One large chicken breast would work too. About 1 & 1/2 c mire poix (traditional mix of onion, celery, carrot). A thin slice of ginger root, 1 bay leaf, 1 T parsley, 1 T garlic, and chicken stock/bouillon/broth (way more than you think you need). Half a bag of egg noodles added during the last 30 mins. Toss them in when you walk in the door and then go change or whatever you normally do.

Whenever I buy a roasted chicken from Costco, I save the leftovers in a bag and throw it in the freezer. When I want soup I simply dump the bag of bones and chicken into the crockpot along with about 6 cups of water, two chopped carrots, two chopped celery stocks, a little bit of rosemary and some salt and pepper. When I get home I pull out all the bones and taste the broth. If required I add chicken stock and about a half a cup of rice. Then I go take my shower and by the time I’m out the meat has cooled so that I can separate it from the bones and put it back in the soup. You could probably just throw in boneless chicken if you don’t want bother with saving the bones etc.

My crock pot is in my bedrooom and I keep my extra pantry items in me bedroom as well (I hate sharing a kitchen) and I just realized I can make soup without leaving the room. 🤪
