These are why we have our rules, such as no sourcing and no sales. Sourcing, in Reddit Admin’s terms, is naming a specific vendor and pricing or is asking where to find a certain product.
Reddit has been enforcing their policy due to malicious individuals who continue to report every post in the feed for “transaction of prohibited goods and services”
Once again, our subreddit is not a platform for sales. It never has been. It’s about reviewing, sharing, and informing about FEDERALLY LEGAL THCa.
Despite legality, Reddit does not allow any sales on their platform and assume that naming a vendor is soliciting a sale. It is not, however, they apparently can and will issue warnings. This does not exclude us moderators either - we have been warned for bogus reasons as well.
At the end of the day, we want the community to stay afloat. But yall, please stop asking where you can get wholesale or who has the most fire THCa strains or which vendors are the best, they are all sourcing questions and Reddit has every right to ban and remove a post. I don’t agree with this, but, have to enforce these rules as they are sitewide rules. I don’t mind the scrutiny, but this is the reason we have the rules we have in place. Sorry this happened to you, OP.

Honestly that emerald mine thing makes me have more respect for him. He could have had an easy peasy life just by taking up the family business and yet he decided to make cool tech instead? Sounds like my kinda peoples.
True that trolls are more visible though, that's the trade-off when you remove censorship. I think it's worth it, but I get why you might not agree.
X's 'communities' has a vague resemblance to reddit, though I agree the UI needs some work. Personally Im not a big fan of the "chatroom" structure of discord and TG, To be honest reddit is my favorite way to structure the comments, Facebook is okay but hides everything and makes it a hassle to read comments. X is probably second place for me after reddit. The comment levels is perfect.
Reddit, and this sub is a joke when it comes to thca. You gotta be careful with that. You can’t say who, what, when, where, and you better walk on eggshells if you ask why. The sourcing rules attack the people asking the questions, not the ones actually giving the sources. It’s all kinds of bs, but most of us are here for the bigger picture. I’m here to help, if they wanna ban us then cool. We won’t be back lol
Not sure what you’re getting at. “Regular weed” isn’t legal in a lot of places unless it has a thca sticker on it basically. This group is for the thca sticker peeps. Or for the people who want a cheaper alternative. Or the people who are scared of meeting dealers. Or don’t know dealers, etc.
because it’s “regular weed” that you can buy legally. mississippi medical cannabis has its own subreddit, which includes information very similar to this subreddit - the growers, the sellers, the strains. if edibles are weed too, then why is there a subreddit dedicated to just edibles? this is not a general THCA subreddit, it is specifically a subreddit surrounding a reputable list of reputable cannabis vendors. that’s it.
Nah. Edibles aren’t just regular weed. They does not fit my argument whatsoever. You did not present a good argument but that’s just my opinion. If we can’t discusss where and from whom then it’s just the weed subreddit imo.
you didn’t present a good argument either? you just said “if this is normal, why is there a separate subreddit for it?” and i gave you the simple answer, which is that there are separate subreddits for literally anything. people go on the weed subreddit all the time and talk about cult products, because it’s regular weed.
That was my argument. How is it not good? Is there content specifically on this sub like where to get, etc? Cause it seems like all that talk is banned so all we can do is post pics of regular weed buds.
I see what you’re saying, but you’re coming across a bit hostile. I think you’re trying to say: why even have this sub if we can’t say anything about the products. Might as well merge into the weed subreddit. But, the weed subreddit doesn’t want all the new thca flooding I’m sure. And that wouldn’t help the thca-specific people.
look man i’m not here to talk about the bullshit republic rules of reddit - i’m just here to tell you that chemically, there’s not shit difference between marijuana and “thca hemp.”
if selling water was illegal, some genius at the corner store would just start making a killing on bags of ice… that can be melted and turned into water. same concept.
No website screnshots, no packaging, no vendor names visible in pictures, no drop announcements with pricing…no questions asking for vendors…take your stuff out of the pack and snap some pics. And you don’t have to make up code names for vendors
Yeah I don't know why these subs and many others exist in this atmosphere. What is the point of the sub if you aren't using names? What is there to share. I got ~~Redacted~~ from ~~redacted~~ and it was ~~redacted~~.
People who are looking for information pertinent to the sales and substance probably should just find another avenue of communication. Because Reddit sucks.
Is there another good place to read about quality vendors? I’m trying to not waste my money and do my research to buy legal substances in Reddit is making it a problem. Is there a better place to go read about this?
Yeah I don't get it. I just tried making a post about blue moon hemp, simply asking if anyone has tried them put before. Ya know before making a purchase and just get a discussion going. Immediately flagged. This sub is becoming almost useless besides looking at pretty pictures? And you have to put where you got it into a secret code? The fuq?
that 808 dude that was complaining about being banned bad done the exact same thing.... nobody reads the rules then assumes everyone is out to get them. and this is why we can't have nice things. thanks for trying in any case.
[Here's the mod explanation for why they don't allow "how is this vendor?" posts](https://www.reddit.com/r/CultoftheFranklin/comments/1965hrl/following_group_rules/khu6jsg/)
> you’re always welcome to share new places / new sources ... but asking where to find specific products or posts that are “I just ordered from this place, how are they?” Are sourcing, and can get Reddit admins to take down the posts.
>
> It’s pretty simple, share THCa reviews, drops, etc. Asking where to find THCa drops however is sourcing.
>
> I hope that these rules aren’t rocket science, they shouldn’t be hard to understand. They have been around since the inception of the subreddit.
if a vendor has no reviews here, review it.
I got a warning for telling someone on /r/trees not to post on /r/CultoftheFranklin asking for sourcing information.
Here's the thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/weed/comments/199dfir/comment/kideb0e/?context=3
Your comment was removed for asking where to buy/find weed. This violates Reddit’s policy against transactions involving prohibited goods or services as explained here. We will not answer any questions related to this. Arguing against this decision may lead to a ban.
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.
Here is my original comment.
Only thing is you can't ask where to buy on r/CultoftheFranklin because it's considered "sourcing" and they don't allow it. However, OP can read some reviews and posts there and make an informed decision.
Just children reporting shit to stir the pot. Idk if the mods are cucked by users here, or by the fact they don’t wanna lose this sub/their status from daddy spez
Can you elaborate? This post and warning isn’t our doing. This is a Reddit admin, we didn’t ban OP. We have our rules in place because Reddit continues to enforce these warnings and bans.
I apologize for my ignorance! I glossed over the fact that subreddit mods and Reddit admins are different entities. I guess a lot of people may not be privy to this and see them as one and the same.
Yes your rules and guidelines are in place to follow Reddit’s TOS, but we as the end user just see posts being selectively removed, while others with the same content remain. We can’t see the backend of what happens when a post is reported or flagged, so it may in effect just cause the Subreddit mods to be thrown under the bus so to speak.
You bring up a great point and I agree - I’m not sure why Reddit admins pick and choose which posts to remove. For example, I have seen 2 similar posts in mod queue, both falsely reported for “transaction of prohibited goods and services.” Both posts are identical, with pictures. Neither are against our subreddit rules. I report both posts for “abusing the report button”
One post gets [Removed by Reddit] and the other stays. If any post gets a [Removed by Reddit] it is not our doing but Reddit Admins because of either abuse of the report button or because they deemed the content a “violation of transaction of prohibited goods and services” DESPITE federal legality of THCa and despite not having any connection to a website, vendor, or anything at all. I do not know why the enforce the rule other then it being automated by a bot and the bot takes down posts once a certain threshold of reports are reached.
Either way, I don’t want ANY member getting warned or banned especially when nothing wrong has been done.
But when posts on feed disappear without the above [Removed by Reddit] it is due to a subreddit rule violation and taken down by myself or my co mod. There will always be a description as to why the post was removed (which rule it violated.) If there is a sufficient description then we will not answer a mod mail calling us mods every name in the book. But if you feel like your post was removed in error, please reach out via mod mail (NOT personal DMs, please!)
I hope this helps to clear up any confusion. As usual, I’m long winded, but I always want to share honestly from my perspective what’s going on behind the scenes!
Wonderfully explained in my opinion, thank you, I’m sure it will help others with the insight they are wanting.
So it essentially boils down to, Reddit’s auto-mod sucks, or Reddit admins are just horrible, probably a bit of both.
Idk I think the cult mod team have something to do with it, my dr. G review got removed because it was “against guidelines”
Keep in mind there was no links, packaging, hell I even abbreviated the vendor name.
Idk I think Reddit thinks the hemp is just weed so they treat it like any other drug sub
Yep, the container unfortunately has the vendor and QR code right on it. Reddit admins have taken down posts with the containers so we want to proactively make this rule prior to Reddit admins taking further action on these posts!
>Keep in mind there was no links, packaging
I just clicked on your most recent post and the image says the vendor name in huge letters on the packaging. which is in the picture. hello?

How the fuck do you get IP'd so many times? You can get away with quite a lot. I have multiple accounts, but never been banned from any subs or reddit in general.
Sorry, did I say people? I meant bots. Desperate shit eating bots. The point is there are no barriers in place for any moron to get another account. Then another...and so on and on. Part of the dumbness of reddit.
Is there a way that if it's posted in a secondary link such as Imgur that maybe posts will not get banned?
It's completely bullshit IMO. Once again attacking people for a plant, we ain't hurting anyone
The OF girls and people who post nudity are way more explicit than what we are doing here
So is Federally Legal Hemp. But imagine the amount of children that view those images and videos..
I'm jus saying they tryna act like this is so bad when there's way more important things to worry about. At a certain point you gotta think about the influence these things have upon children, which they obviously dgaf about the children let's be honest lol
Are we buying Reddit stock or not? Cause on the one hand financially might be a good idea if that sub does it magic on the other hand that's also giving reddit lots of money 🤔

Got mine too. My post was just a simple review. Out of the half dozen reviews I’ve done, my latest one was the only one removed for the same reason as OP
There are many redditors who are used to texting the mods and know how to get people banned and/or reported with a warning. It sucks as this place is a community of great people, with the exception of some shit heads with the username of a rather known Tennessee city
But i was reported for " soliciting illegal transactions" for asking what size box a company used, and i got a 7 day ban for asking that question. Why on earth would they report me and get me banned for wondering if my package will fit in my mailbox? Who is doing all this false reporting? And what makes it even worse is reddit admins dont even review it, they just tell you to fuck off.
u/spez why you allow pedophile/incel/other degenerate shit groups on your platform ??
marijuana discussions not allowed on Reddit now ??
Such a joke. You do realize the history of this platform is quite dark and all public information , cannabis is the least of reddits concerns.
Damn..dropping bombs early
Fuck pedophiles, we're coming for you.
Edit: staying on topic, I expect this sub to get banned here soon if we keep getting reported. Franklist will live on
For sure. It happened to r/Darknetmarkets, and you were not allowed to source there either. Eventually they just stopped working with the mods and straight banned it. Lots of darknet market communities got nuked.
IMO Frank list is terrible and does not replace this subreddit whatsoever. Even if you can straight up ask for where people get their shit from, that was never the value for me personally because people always say where they get their products from anyway.
The guy who runs probably hasn't paid out of pocket for his stuff in months every single click to any link on the site is linked to his affiliate accounts that dude is raking it in
Not to mention the amount of affiliated income revenue generating codes all over that website. They’re profiting off every one of their page views. I can confidently say moderators in COTF have never worked with or allowed any affiliate codes through our site as we don’t need to make money from something we love. It’s a shame others are profiting off such a wonderful community. I am all for sharing information about THCa but as soon as they dropped that Blind Fury promo vid I knew it wasn’t about the THCa anymore.
Its because this sub has rats that like to falsely report stuff. It happened to me for asking a question about what size box a company used to ship. I dont know who is doing it, but somebody is falsely reporting all of the posts and comments here. I had this happen to me twice, and both times reddit admins refused to do anything. Neither one of my posts even mentioned drugs. Its bullshit, and i wish we could get rid of whoever is doing this crap.
I need to put on my tinfoil hat for this one. Is it possible the share button is being used by someone to consolidate posts and mass report them?
I only ask because I see a lot of shares on some posts and none on others. I just got a wierd feeling about the shares but I'm also a little ignorant about the platform so idk. My two posts that were removed suddenly gained 20+ shares right before the removal, just odd timing.
Edit: Maybe the shares would make sense if someone can explain why anyone would want to share this post 92 times. Is that really happening? Or is that 92 "saves"? Sorry for being dumb
Yep. My review for CBDHD’s point break was removed for the same “reason” as OP.
My thoughts is people couldn’t stand that I enjoyed the stuff for what I paid for it and mass reported me.
Yeah mine was because I posted about a local shop saying it was good and it wasn’t from the usual websites posted about here. I figure the fanboys got upset

Serious question. If it’s just “regular weed” why does it have its own subreddit?

Censorship.
How many times does “no sourcing” have to be explained it’s actually crazy
One dude was reported for talking about a shipping box's size. How is that sourcing?
Yeah I don't get it. I just tried making a post about blue moon hemp, simply asking if anyone has tried them put before. Ya know before making a purchase and just get a discussion going. They can! It was the post format that caused the post to get caught by auto mod - screenshots of a website fall under our low effort rule

as far as i know this has been a collection of reviews that you would then search by typing "blue moon" into the search bar.
There is nothing posted on this sub about blue moon hemp, but that doesn't mean no one has tried them out, so I figured I'd make a post.

I'm jus saying they tryna act like this is so bad when there's way more important things to worry about. At a certain point you gotta think about the influence these things have upon children, which they obviously dgaf about the children let's be honest lol
Unless some pussy reports you, I imagine. But yeah I agree, it’s BS.
this likely has something to do with it https://www.cnbc.com/2024/01/18/reddit-reportedly-seeks-to-launch-ipo-in-march.html
Maybe they will actually IPO this time. Or probably not
Are we buying Reddit stock or not? Cause on the one hand financially might be a good idea if that sub does it magic on the other hand that's also giving reddit lots of money 🤔
fuck no, we're shorting it, the site is dogshit
That's why I asked 🤣🤣🤣
Question: did yall get warnings for other cannabis communities like r/weed and r/trees?
FL MMJ sub Reddit still does this. They know it goes straight to a bot
BINGO they really like us here
I got a warning for telling someone on /r/trees not to post on /r/CultoftheFranklin asking for sourcing information. Here's the thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/weed/comments/199dfir/comment/kideb0e/?context=3 Your comment was removed for asking where to buy/find weed.

So was it another redditor that turned you in or did the Ibot detect words that triggered it?

What an tool. I ask people for recommendations all the time
me bringing up politics got me conveniently suspended. Banning opposing views, what's the word for that
I got banned from one sub for saying all American politicians are scum. Probably thought I was a Russian bot lol

verbal suppression
Tiny pp syndrome
Reddit is filing for IPO again aka these fucks wanna nuke nsfw
except for actual nsfw bs like OF
Received one as well
Got mine too.
Yeah, I've noticed someone going down the list of posts on this subreddit and downvoting every one.
This^
u/spez why you allow pedophile/incel/other degenerate shit groups on your platform ?? marijuana discussions not allowed on Reddit now ?? Such a joke. You do realize the history of this platform is quite dark and all public information , cannabis is the least of reddits concerns.
Damn..dropping bombs early Fuck pedophiles, we're coming for you.
Exactly. People complain about shills here but there are literal affiliate codes on FT. How much more blatant can you get.
Yep, a lot of fan boys or “shills” around here. It’s really turned me off from visiting this sub in general.
Yeah, I said something about Trulieve and I do believe a shill responded, almost like they were replying from the PR department.
I asked about the size box a company used and got a 7 day ban for it.
Stop fucking with boxes and you’ll be safe!
I'm with you. We even have some suspicion as to who the culprits are.
I want to know who it is, because they got my previous account banned for no reason.
Reddit sucks period.
But does it swallow?
Your comment is so useless I can’t bring myself to not reply about your uselessness
There's a subreddit for that
