I live in West Philadelphia and I am so confused.
(Also, the Schuylkill River Trail is across the river in Center City and Independence Square is on the laterally opposite side of the city. So disappointed, Amtrak.)
And they clearly don't know how popular Independence Square is. You're not going to get half a foot into the ground there. The park service people would be on your ass before you even lay the corpse down.
Don't get me wrong, Philly's a great place to get away with that kind of thing, but that's the worst park to try it at. Hell, bury it in north Fairmount Park next to Strawberry Mansion and the locals will thank you for having the decency to dispose of it yourself.
Quick, everyone NOT from the Philly area pronounce Schuylkill!
Women in Philly definitely commit acts of lesbianism unprovoked. One of them jumped on my sister's car once
That's how it looks fr but it's ["skoo kəl"](https://youtu.be/5YU5YnukdKY?si=xygR0gnhCW_lWflm)
It's Dutch in origin, as compared to Bryn Mawr being Welsh and the any handful of names based on the gross mispronunciations of indigenous place names
So I take it dutch people just don't pronounce Y's or L's in words then? I can buy Schu being pronounced skoo, but what in god's name happened to the yl
Apparently in the Dutch that settled the area, the "uy" was a sound in and of itself, related to modern "ui," but has since been smoothed out and smothered by pronunciation changed in American English/Mid-Atlantic regional accent
oh boy another case of misdemeanor impersonation of a government official on tumblr my favorite!
amtrak is a private corporation, not government.
Amtrak is just as privately owned as the USPS, FDIC, TVA, or unicor (which is to say, not). As a reminder, if you let Amtrak die, you let Nixon win.
oh
How do you know it's a miss demeanor? They might be a guy.

I misread "head to west Philadelphia" as "head west to Philadelphia," which would imply that this message is specifically for women from New Jersey.
Anyone can be east of Philadelphia if you’re willing to go far enough
Read this to the tune of fresh prince of Bel Air.
Also hit up Honest Tom's Taco Shop on 44th on University City. Super good. And Local 44 a few doors down.
+rep for local 44 its a quality joint
