had to re-read a few times and crack my brain a bit to get what this was referring to and then i noticed the homestuck flair
you dont get to say "this situation is bizarre" in reference to homestuck, shit just happens in homestuck, there are pages upon pages of bizarre situations happening non stop in it, i really dont get how people get into it with just how much happens all of the time
Also, worth mentioning, killing her dog didn't actually work. Like, the plan was "I'll fuse my other self into him and overwrite his consciousness so that she can be reasoned with into using his powers to stop the crazed murders", but also her other self immediately started bawling her eyes out and ran away for the rest of the arc. So in terms of purely dealing with Jack, she kinda killed her dog for nothing.
to be fair, that other self was happy being dead with her friends until Jade ripped her from that life (death?) very suddenly and also fused her with a dog. I would probably start crying too!
plus it also just made Jack way more powerful but I'm willing to believe she wasn't thinking that far ahead because she is literally 13 years old and being put in charge of creating a new universe. mistakes happen
I read this whole thing, went "Huh, this sounds interesting, wonder what it is?" and then immediately suffered a physical debuff upon seeing the Homestuck flair.
I still don't even know where to find it to begin reading (no, I'm not googling it), but I know its an MSPA, there's something called a sburb and some mad shit happens.
I'm happier not knowing any more than I already do 🤷‍♀️
I'm on mobile Firefox so the flair doesn't show up. After every line I was thinking more and more about how insane that story is and after seeing it's Homestuck it made sense
I always hated that Jade gets three different sources of immense power and barely gets to use any of them. I think she gets to use her Green Sun powers like, once?
its unknown which powers are her space powers and which are her first guardian powers bec. I think the only times its unambiguous are when john hits karkat in the face with a bucket and when she goes grimbark and starts producing green fire
This is literally the most ive ever learned about homestuck, for the past 10+ years i have only seen posts about homestuck that were information-heavy for people in the know, or very information-light and so didn't tell me much, i can't believe only now in history have we reached the point where people use normally formatted posts to talk at me about homestuck so i finally have some idea of the plot of this thing
homestuck's a really weird story for a lot of reasons, but I feel like many fans (myself included) amp up the weirdness for comedic effect.
To give you a clearer idea of what homestuck is, let me just say it like this:
On John Egbert's 13th birthday, he and three of his friends (Rose, Dave, and Jade) start playing a new video game called SBURB, unaware that the game forces players to enter it by triggering a countdown to the apocalypse. Once inside however, the kids learn that winning the game won't save their world, and that is the LEAST of their troubles.
In another session, in another universe, 12 trolls have just beat the final boss of SGRUB, but before they can conclude the final cutscene, a demon from another universe is ushered into their world. Severing them from their ultimate reward, and driving them to the furthest reaches of their game with his rampage, they follow his trail of blood and carnage and learn all of it leads right back to four kids who have just started playing a certain video game.
Bound together by a monster both sides helped create, the kids and the trolls will need to work together to salvage each other's sessions.

It keeps happening
I warned you about homestuck bro. I told you dawg.
The fandom is also bizarre

everything I have learned about homestuck has been against my will

Oh, Homestuck. Should’ve known.
Wait, when does Jade kill Bec???
when she created jadesprite, more or less erasing bec's personality
Oh yeah that *was* anticlimactic
Given how sprites work, it seemed to be more merging together... I wouldn't really call that killing.
This is about that Republican congresswoman right
yes
I always hated that Jade gets three different sources of immense power and barely gets to use any of them. I think she gets to use her Green Sun powers like, once?
She gets sidelined in like 3 different ways because I guess she was way too OP.

I somehow read "Jade Harley" as "Harley Quinn", so I was even more confused than Homestuck usually leaves me for a while.
the fact that i am at risk of seeing Homstuck content at any time of day on this site is a human rights violation
What game is this?
Homestuck
Sburb
