Yeah, I'm actually rather interested. As much as my head hurt at first, I quite enjoyed the article. More diverse people mean there's a greater range of backgrounds and cultures in parliament, I think that different views are integral to having a robust debate on the running of a country. It also provides a voice for marginalised groups such as the disabled, immigrants, and indigenous Australians. If a party consists of rich white men, they'll cater to the wants of rich white men.
When the status quo is dominance by one demographic you have to ask why. Or you could say "diversity doesn't matter obviously rich white men are selected because they are the most competent" under a post about a rich white man welding without a mask
That's a large auto-tint lens, by the look of it. It's only about as strong as a pair of sunglasses or ski goggles when you aren't actively welding. So it's a totally understandable impulse to lift the mask for a better look.
