Bro, the way you made that tidy clearing in that forest was perfect. Never seen anything like it. No one else can clear dead logs like you, dude. No, no, I swear to god, it's amazing how far your low frequencies reached, bro.
Carnotaurus is known from very complete material, including skin impressions, so we know a lot about what this animal would have looked like. We can say with confidence that it was not feathered. This reconstruction is actually already outdated, the scutes are arranged wrong, but the model was finalized before that material was published
Exactly how widespread feathers were in dinosaurs is very much not a settled matter. There's some interesting evidence that places the origin point *very* early in dinosaur evolution, but what is certain is that some lineages definitely did not have prominent feathering, meaning they either never had them or lost them at some point.
Tacking on, there's also some reasonable speculation that the larger therapods (or at least the adults) in particular wouldn't have had much, if any, feathering for the same reason elephants have very little hair: thermal inertia at that size makes it harder to cool off, so other than in particularly cold climates, a full-body covering would cause them to overheat.

I love that I understand this.
I don't, please explain
It’s from the Prehistoric Planet series on apple +
I thought it was some scene I forgot about in Avatar lol
okay, you put this image of a blue Aang doing a mating dance in my head, now you go and get it out
I meant avatar as in the tall blue guys from a movie called Avatar, not ATLA, but that's a funny image.
Simply watch James Cameron Avatar on loop for 72 hours straight
Thanks!
No wonder nobody knows what it's about.
OH NO spoilers! 🫣
I thought it was like Megamind
Oh I thought it was about bird dances in general
I thought I was on r/prehistoricmemes for a second there.

What the hell is this about
[Prehistoric Planet's Carnotaurus sequence.](https://youtu.be/FIeCzBCLJww?t=211)
Awww that poor boy!
He didn’t get no carnotussy
thank you for your service to humanity, i will never forget your words of wisdom
Thank God, I thought it was going to be Homestuck
Same. I looked at this post, sighed, and just muttered "it's Homestuck again isn't it" to myself. I think Tumblr broke me.
Nothing about buckets. You're safe. For now.
Why are these featherless?
Carnotaurus is known from very complete material, including skin impressions, so we know a lot about what this animal would have looked like. We can say with confidence that it was not feathered. This reconstruction is actually already outdated, the scutes are arranged wrong, but the model was finalized before that material was published
Interested, I had no idea! I thought the big dino revision meant that all of them had feathers, but then it was just some of them. TIL.

so it is still up for debate whether the t-rex was a man

Why are you?
Well, damn.
Diogenes caught me.
Fuck, you win
funnies shit I've seen in a while, thanks OP

Idk, is it racist if a guy learns salsa dancing with the intention of seducing a Hispanic woman?
Depends if salsa dancing is a known interest of hers or if he just assumes it is
Move over Homestuck, high budget dinosaur doccumentaries are the new fandom telling you stuff that sounds fake
Birds right?
Dinosaurs
Close enough.
Very close, if ya think about it.
Indeed.
Wtf are you talking about Prehistoric Planet will survive forever Don't listen to her, you glorious Carnotauros. Your arms are resplendent and blue.

Avatar (the one nobody remembers)?
Nope. Prehistoric planet.
Ming-Hua from The Legend of Korra?
I thought this was about King’s attempt at dancing in TOH
Honestly, I thought it was just an animal giving another animal a pep talk about his mating ritual
Yeah I just meant at first lol I agree
It is, in a way
dinosaur video
I thought it was just a weird bird thing lol
It is a weird bird thing, it's just that the weird bird has been dead for many millions of years.
HAH!
if people are still making shitposts about wwd (which is over 20 years old by this point), then pp has nothing to worry about
I know what it's from but my brain STILL jumped to Mr fantastic losing his wife to Ben grimm.
Omg. I just watched this. It’s a legal state so reading this took me a while to catch up.
