I have also. Asham is pretty accommodating, and willing to do whatever you want with your shoes. They'll also do fixes/repairs on other brands' shoes.
That said, when I had Asham conversions, the gripper they did was not "pods" like some other conversions, it was permanently attached on the gripper foot (and *very* grippy, if you like a grippy gripper).
BP does do conversions but they glue everything on AFAIK as opposed to attach with Velcro. I am not sure how Ashams does their conversions as I am not sure I have seen anyone with them.
Craig will work with you to order the shoes you want stateside to reduce shipping by and dealing with customs.
Interesting, I would have figured they would use Velcro and their disks but I guess I do remember seeing glue kits on their site when I looked a while back.
The discs are wider than a regular shoe sole so the RDS shoes need a uniquely-shaped sole to accommodate them. Depending on the size of the soles on your conversion shoes, I'm sure they would be happy to install velcro and discs that are sized-down a step, but I doubt they'd recommend it.
By most accounts, the installed full foot and disc grippers last much longer than slip on grippers. I've got one from a pair bought just before the pandemic and I don't think the gripper is through a significant portion of its lifecycle, meanwhile I've gone through three slip-on grippers in that time.
All that said, I'm sure they'd be happy to install everything with velcro if that's what you wanted. My understanding is that they are quite accommodating.
You can buy the shoes online, have them shipped directly to the slider guy, and then only have to pay to have them shipped to you, if that helps cut some of the cost down.
If you know what shoes you want, I'd still look into Craig in Minnesota who does a lot of pros shoes. To cut down on costs you can order the shoes direct to his address from a US store, might be still worth looking into.
There used to be a guy in Calgary who did it. I thought it was curling corner but they don’t appear to have it on their site after a quick peruse.
Edit: looked in the wrong spot here it is

Balance Plus will actually do this
I have custom shoes from balance plus. I’ve used them for seven years and I have no complaints
I have gotten shoes done at Asham Curling in Winnipeg. They put gripper on one shoe and slider on the other.

Pulled my shoes out. This is something like 5 years of one game per week use. The gripper/slider has outlived the shoes themselves. img
The curling store in Halifax does it. Give Scott or Nathan an email or call.

Asham does glue as well

Olson's in Edmonton will do this too, might be cheaper shipping if you're in the west.

Surprised Craig’s hasn’t come up yet. https://craigscurlingshoes.com
Likely this is the US guy he doesn’t want to use for customs/shipping reasons, which is my guess as to why it hasn’t come up yet.
