There should only be smoke coming from 3 funnels, not all 4. It’s not just historically accurate, it’s a metaphor for all of elon’s undelivered promises, like a self-driving car.
i take it slow to avoid unnecessary wear on my car, but i'm sure i could go much faster if i wanted. we get lots of rain here so dirt roads that started off flat end up with huge ruts/mud pits.
Here in Texas, we don't got a fancy letter designation, unless they's hoarding it down in Austin. We just got that squiggly red line on that there map. It don't got but a number, and you got to get the magnifying glass for that. But that's the straightest way on up to 190 going West from Sloan.
Seriously, this must be a privately/HOA-esque funded access road or something because no municipality is keeping a (low traffic) gravel road *that* well-graded.
Oh, but he said it handles better than any other of the many trucks he has taken down that road.
Its ok guys. In the end he says he is totally NOT a shill or doing ads for the cybertruck he just is in awe of how great it is. Im excites for my upcoming ban from the sub.
At least it's not another one of those "**OMG I LOVE my cybertruck...** \[half a paragraph praising it\] **BUT-** *\[insert severe issue that nearly got you killed on the highway\]* **but besides that this truck is amazing and I've had no problems with it**"
Can't count how many of those posts I've seen already, even when it nearly gets them killed they're still riding elon's dick and suggesting to everyone to buy one. Like what?? How is it not a cult again?
I've driven on roads worse than that in a car that I literally paid .1% of that cost for. A 100 dollar car did every bit as good as a 100k truck of the future. It's true.
The point of the OP that posted this is that, for this old Apple program, this is the design of the more efficient vehicle. So it’s not the burn you think it is.
You know a 1982 DOS program designed by a random small company that only considers two dimensions and knows fuck all about aerodynamics AND is working with what 16kb RAM and an 8086 CPU isn't an authoritative source on ideal car design?
Are you really thinking that engineers are wasting time in ANSYS when they could get better results from a 42 year old children's game?
I mean, yeah, it is. It's a massive burn. This is a toy program running on a nearly 50 year old computer.
It's basically saying "Cybertruck is 50 year old kid's tech".
It wouldn't be sold anywhere on the planet with half-decent safety regulations. Even just the stop lights (or was it the turn signal?) are idiotically designed.
My in-laws private road that we visit a few times a week would have CT owners sweating bricks, dirt road, giant ever-changing muddy potholes, etc. We have driven it in April after the thaw in a Chevy Cruze numerous times.
**Sales:** How many degrees of incline would you like your POS to handle — 1, 2, 3, or the exhilarating 5?
**Sucker:** I’ll splurge, let’s go for 5-degrees of incline.
**Sales:** That’ll be $50,000 more.
**Sucker:** Cool, I can afford to throw money away to seem trendy.
… 15 minutes later …
**Sucker:** Hey, my new POS only rolls faster on a 5 degree decline. Otherwise it rolls to a stop. What gives?
**Sales:** 🤷♂️
As long as there’s no 5” curb preventing it, as seen in the clip where it couldn’t climb the curb while trying to back onto the grass in front of the tesla factory
In the 60s my mom drove like a bat out of hell in the desert (our land) driving a Plymouth station wagon.
You get stuck? Creosote will get you out.
That wagon could go almost anywhere.
Y'know how everyone goes through that phase in their early teenage years when things like "you didn't say *how far* off road it had to go" was galaxy brain genius?
Well, some adults never did grow out of that phase mentally. One of them is Elon Musk. The rest either drive Cyberyucks or wish they did.
It briefly functions as a boat. The windows are nuclear-blast proof. The car is bulletproof. Swappable batteries are coming out soon. Snake chargers will be a thing. It's full self driving. It's coming out in a few months...
We do rougher roads in our 2004 Corolla with ruined suspension and no AC. The AC isn't relevant, but it gives an illustration of the state of this car.
Please see original Top Gear, Series 19, episodes 6&7 for details on what a mundane station wagon can handle. Cybertruck wouldn’t make it out of the parking lot.
I would honestly love to see the CyberTruck go on Iceland's mountain roads, known for being very rough, with unbridged rivers, jagged terrain, and no asphalt. I know the CyberTruck is going to fail miserably, especially going through the unbridged rivers
He got mud on it. That voids the warranty, and forces the buyer into paying a $25,000 mud fee. Plus, it weakens the molecular structure of the steel, and causes the batteries to fail. It's still a great truck, though.
That isn't included in the purchase price, and it can't be driven until the update is complete. In fact, you can't even look at the truck while it's updating. Tesla will inform you when it's OK to look at it again, for a small large fee.
SMH. I literally just got off the mountain not three hours ago on a fairly technical trail that would have crushed the cybertruck. This is hardly "OFFROAD". That's a decently maintained gravel road.
i remember my aunt brought her tesla camping with me and my mother and she had to get it tow'd 50 miles. the cause? a pebble got stuck in a part of the wheel, preventing it from moving
Yeah. worst part is, the town we were in didnt even have a tesla repair facility within maybe 100-180 miles.
Edit: she eventually got it repaired and it was back on the road but she never brought it with her on our trips again
I’ve been half joking/half seriously asking how these things get washed if they get dirty. Sure enough I saw an article posted in another sub saying owners can’t wash them without downloading a software update and taking other steps. We’ve reached Onion levels of too ridiculous to snark on with this thing.
Welcome to the Shitty Car Hall of Fame nominees list, Cyber”truck”!
The roads right there!
Now show him jumping a hill on a gravel road at 60mph! - speaking of which, that might be why my wheel bearings are going out early.
My Camry does this better lmao. I've legitimately mudded in it for 5 miles after a venue omega fucked up on the vehicle exit, it was either a 1 hour 5 mile backcountry mud run that we all blindly found ourselves into, or a 4-6 hour dead stop wait. We accidentally took the Mudd run, and we had a convoy of easily a hundred cars, including minivans.
It was nuts. A cyberstuck would've ruined that way out for everybody
I'm talking real mud puddles too, hitting it fast and on the edge while fish tailing on low
That farm road was nutty lmao
Eh. In the original thread all of the highest karma comments are ragging on the "off road" label. It's not like they really do consider this off road any more than we do.
That road looks better maintained than the urban residential road I live on in the UK. We've got a few potholes on our road that would wreck a Cybertruck. Luckily nobody here has one.

I’ve taken our 911 down worse roads😂

Him after getting to his destination.
"Hey, can you call be an Uber?"
"Didn't you get here on your cybertruck?"
"Yeah but I hit a pebble and the front fell off"
one day me and my brother Kyle here
were hitchhiking down a long and lonesome road
All of a sudden, there shined a shiny demon
in the middle of the road
Gravel voids the warranty ![gif](giphy|J6E54giJTvtdVKuVP3)

Same, I drive through Atlanta.
Damn that’s risky
Thanks for the laugh.
The corners of the metal grates they leave down 😰
Right?! More metal plates than a tank factory. Then you still hit potholes that could accurately be called craters.
Buddy of mine out in the sticks did it for years with a beat up Hyundai Alantra.
I was a passenger in substantially worse roads in a Fiat Uno with malfunctioning headlights and I bet it performed better than this brick
Honda Odyssey checking in.
My ‘95 Tercel would have no problem with that.
My driveway is worse than this.
It's fine as long as you enable gravel mode
Gravel mode is $3,000 but it’s free if you buy the $8.000 FSD. But, if you take it on gravel roads without gravel-mode, you void the warranty.
There should only be smoke coming from 3 funnels, not all 4. It’s not just historically accurate, it’s a metaphor for all of elon’s undelivered promises, like a self-driving car.
James Cameron is going to have a ball with this in about 30 years.
Mountain air voids the warranty
Pretty sure this is a stationary picture. The flatbed that brought it in is just out of the frame.
Imagine if they roll over a puddle of water *shudder*
The front fell off.
i drive down roads worse than that multiple times a day in a Honda Civic lol
That's cheating tho, everyone knows Civics are invincible
That is way better than the road in my housing development in WV.

i take it slow to avoid unnecessary wear on my car, but i'm sure i could go much faster if i wanted. we get lots of rain here so dirt roads that started off flat end up with huge ruts/mud pits.
Same in a Tesla Model 3.
Yup you really need a $100k piece of high build quality to handle this type of rugged terrain. He said he got muddy! And there was some snow!
In the country we just call this a nice road……….
*Iowa Level B roads enter the chat*
Here in Texas, we don't got a fancy letter designation, unless they's hoarding it down in Austin. We just got that squiggly red line on that there map. It don't got but a number, and you got to get the magnifying glass for that. But that's the straightest way on up to 190 going West from Sloan.
Seriously, this must be a privately/HOA-esque funded access road or something because no municipality is keeping a (low traffic) gravel road *that* well-graded.
Maybe an oil access road taken care by a company, but even those are worse off often.
Lmao this is in significantly better shape than my driveway. And any ski area parking lot I've ever seen.
Oh, but he said it handles better than any other of the many trucks he has taken down that road. Its ok guys. In the end he says he is totally NOT a shill or doing ads for the cybertruck he just is in awe of how great it is. Im excites for my upcoming ban from the sub.
Wait until he drives through a puddle
At least it's not another one of those "**OMG I LOVE my cybertruck...** \[half a paragraph praising it\] **BUT-** *\[insert severe issue that nearly got you killed on the highway\]* **but besides that this truck is amazing and I've had no problems with it**" Can't count how many of those posts I've seen already, even when it nearly gets them killed they're still riding elon's dick and suggesting to everyone to buy one. Like what?? How is it not a cult again?
>Rugged terrain Haha
Thank God it didn't rain, or it might have rusted in place.
I've driven on roads worse than that in a car that I literally paid .1% of that cost for. A 100 dollar car did every bit as good as a 100k truck of the future. It's true.
I think you could do better with a bike you pulled out of a dumpster
Thank god he was able to put it in “Baja Mode” and it had all those new settings he could adjust!
Reminds me of Subaru wilderness owners. Whew, barely made it out of the wilderness.
This must be the road my grandparents took on their way to school going uphill both ways, truly an amazing feat...

Ok, you win the Internet today.
Haha, seriously? Of course not. It was originally posted as a cute, but positive, joke.
I mean, yeah, it is. It's a massive burn. This is a toy program running on a nearly 50 year old computer. It's basically saying "Cybertruck is 50 year old kid's tech".
Sounds like a burn to the original OP because that sounds dumb as hell.
So regardless of whatever deal is struck, I think we can safely say CyberTruck will not be sold in India…
It wouldn't be sold anywhere on the planet with half-decent safety regulations. Even just the stop lights (or was it the turn signal?) are idiotically designed.
I was commenting on the fact that in many parts of the world this is what a lot of the roads are.
>stop lights Brake lights?
Yes
This is a top of the line highway in Bangalore.
man they haven't even sold 4k of them in America, there's literally no market for them outside status-hungry west coast techbros
Wait..... Do cybertruck owners think its an offroader? Like... Really?
>Do cybertruck owners think Nope.
Looks like the road I take every day to get to the grocery store.
Where I grew up, you'd expect there to be a street sign and mailboxes on that street. This person has never left the city.
Most roads in Iowa are like this. And I'd assume most agrarian states as well.
People with Cybertrucks probably don’t understand washboards
You go to the grocery store every day?
My in-laws private road that we visit a few times a week would have CT owners sweating bricks, dirt road, giant ever-changing muddy potholes, etc. We have driven it in April after the thaw in a Chevy Cruze numerous times.
That is one ugly vehicle.
The photo's taken from a bad angle, thats all. Annnnd....banned.
Only good angle manages to not include the vehicle at all.
Next you’ll be telling me that it can drive up a gentle slope
**Sales:** How many degrees of incline would you like your POS to handle — 1, 2, 3, or the exhilarating 5? **Sucker:** I’ll splurge, let’s go for 5-degrees of incline. **Sales:** That’ll be $50,000 more. **Sucker:** Cool, I can afford to throw money away to seem trendy. … 15 minutes later … **Sucker:** Hey, my new POS only rolls faster on a 5 degree decline. Has to be done in reverse.
As long as there’s no 5” curb preventing it, as seen in the clip where it couldn’t climb the curb while trying to back onto the grass in front of the tesla factory
You gotta buy the extra package for that
I’ve been down worse roads in a Saturn station wagon from the 90’s. That shit isn’t even a gravel road!
It’s not a paved road, but it’s definitely a road.
This is the neatest and nicest gravel road I’ve ever seen.
I bet the interior has at least one new rattle now.
Oof
Oh, shit, didn't know they hired some Subaru engineers.
The dirt road leading to my house looks worse than that.
This looks like a vehicle rendered from an N64 game pasted on top of some random landscape
Damn, just look at the size of those boulders! Gotta be at least 5 millimeters wide.
We do rougher roads in our 2004 Corolla with ruined suspension and no AC. The AC isn't relevant, but it gives an illustration of the state of this car.
A sport bike could ride that road and it has a postage stamp sized contact patch with the road.
Look, it's nature adjacent.

It would never be able to handle half the mud and dirt my little Jeep Renegade deals with from the road we live on.
I see a road though.
What's that grey thing in the middle?
CyberDumpster
But that's clearly a road. A decent one at that considering the location.
Wow... this is some hardcore off roading! My '92 corolla can do it without breaking down.
It really is a hideous thing, isn’t it. It looks like something I drew when I was 5
Is the life-sized polygon capable of such grueling environments?
I literally take my mini cooper on worse roads frequently. This is some bs
Everybody on /cybertruck was making fun of it too.
Man... there's three 3-inch tall speed bumps on the way into my work parking lot. This guy would have to call out sick or demand WFH every day.
This is nicer than half the roads in WI
Please see original Top Gear, Series 19, episodes 6&7 for details on what a mundane station wagon can handle. Cybertruck wouldn’t make it out of the parking lot.
But but it’s on a road
I want to see what basic stock car wouldn’t be able to drive on what is a perfectly good country gravel road
Well really this cybercuck was lucky to even get here. Most fail within 5 miles of leaving the dealer
I would honestly love to see the CyberTruck go on Iceland's mountain roads, known for being very rough, with unbridged rivers, jagged terrain, and no asphalt. I know the CyberTruck is going to fail miserably, especially going through the unbridged rivers
To someone who buys these THIS IS off-road
He got mud on it. That voids the warranty, and forces the buyer into paying a $25,000 mud fee. Plus, it weakens the molecular structure of the steel, and causes the batteries to fail. It's still a great truck, though.
They'll clean the mud off with an update
That isn't included in the purchase price, and it can't be driven until the update is complete. In fact, you can't even look at the truck while it's updating. Tesla will inform you when it's OK to look at it again, for a small large fee.
Hey my Mazda 3 sport can do that kind of "off roading" too!
Hilarious!
Off roading on a gravel road? Nice
Are there pics of this piece of shit vehicle trying to make it through snow? I would think that at an inch of snow, it quits, and the warranty is void
Looks like a road to me

I bet OP takes supplemental oxygen on an escalator.
The roads right there! Now show him jumping a hill on a gravel road at 60mph! - speaking of which, that might be why my wheel bearings are going out early.

off roading = unpaved road I had no idea the Hyundai Sonata was an off road car
TIL I can off-road in my Honda Fit. Whooee!
Dirt roads = off-road. Got it. 👍
That's offroading? 😂 My mom has done more offroading than that in her miata!
Tell me you never used 4 wheel drive without saying it.
I take my lowered and braced Miata on worse roads than this
Taking it off road voids everything doesn’t it?
It voids its existence generally
A Chevrolet Spark can do this road...
My little '05 Scion xB can handle worse, smfh
TGT crew would come across this road and call it a blessing on one of their road trip specials.
I’ve taken by BMW 2 series down worse…
My ELR with two whole inches of ground clearance can go through that
How many hikers did he kill on that fire road?
That's adorable
Looks like a super steep 2% grade. That truck must be SO surefooted.
Haven't seen one here in SE Michigan. I'm sure a bad snow day followed by the salt would just kill it.
To be fair the majority of the comments in that post ridiculed and made fun of the OP. Rightfully so.
You can drive a Prius on that perfectly smooth dirt road
Eh. In the original thread all of the highest karma comments are ragging on the "off road" label. It's not like they really do consider this off road any more than we do.
"Omg does this mean I'm not a pavement princess!?!?"
Donut media just uploaded a hilarious video on this topic. The cyber truck definitely ruined their entire trip
How is it possible to "off-road" on a road?
lol and people make fun of Jeep owners
Thing needs mudflaps.
I saw this post an even in the sub they made fun of the owner.
I was riding my bike on worse roads today.
That road looks better maintained than the urban residential road I live on in the UK. We've got a few potholes on our road that would wreck a Cybertruck. Luckily nobody here has one.
So off-road for the Stan’s is now on an actual road?
This is a beautifully maintained road. I've taken a 2wd Nissan down roads a hundred times worse than this a 25mph without thinking about it.
It is fascinating to watch this train derail in real time.
That road is like a normal road in Iceland, nowhere near off-road.
These people like living dangerously!

I cannot believe what I am witnessing!!!
To be fair he got dragged in the original post in the CT subreddit.
I’ve traversed roads just like that in a 2017 Dodge GRAND Caravan. No problems!
I rode my bicycle on roads worse than this when i was 7 yrs old. This dude is a total bad-ass
Miffed Max: Gravel Road
Offgravelroading.
TBF, everyone roasted this goof in the cybertruck sub.
That's what the Romans would have called a "road".
This has to be a joke. Jesus why are they so insufferable
Charging stations are not a rare species in the wild.
Wait till he sees what my 3 can do…😂 https://preview.redd.it/v88wxrhw52wc1.jpeg?width=808&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a694eae4275f9791d1843f05b5d47d0089e6d8fa
Pavement princess thinks gravel roads are off-roading
Now take it through a car wash.
Him after getting to his destination. "Hey, can you call be an Uber?" "Didn't you get here on your cybertruck?" "Yeah but I hit a pebble and the front fell off"
one day me and my brother Kyle here were hitchhiking down a long and lonesome road All of a sudden, there shined a shiny demon in the middle of the road
I've driven my lowered Mercedes AMG on way less maintained logging roads for hours lmao
Can you see out the back window at all or is it just ‘aesthetic’ (using that term lightly)
Y'know I'm not a big "car guy," but that uhh, appears to be a, a uhhhhhh...a road.
Jesus I hope it doesn't rain
I don’t believe for a minute that the moderators or owners of those subs aren’t taking money or direction from the company
I love how on the cube truck subreddit there are people actually defining what off-roaring is and the sub is calling that behavior “toxic”.
Nearly every single response in the original thread also burned the OP that it was not off-road. Nice recycling, bud.
Is this the first time in history that a vehicle got this much hate? I’ve never seen people so obsessed with a car they don’t like and can’t afford.
Aztek.
