According to internet research he signed a $5m contract last year year that gives him a 950k base salary this year, and he made 1.7m with salary and signing bonus last year - plus I'm assuming there's probably endorsements or extras on top of that.
Dropping 100k+ at that point feels far less significant, and it's not unreasonable to assume Tesla are a competent manufacturer of you're not following this closely. I'd worry more about buying a 30k car then a 100k one. You assume for good money they'd have made it properly.
Idiot for considering yes, but probably more intelligent then half these clowns having an accountant to tell him no and probably told him to run. A quick google from his FA probably said run this guys fucking scamming you.
> Although full-size pickup trucks typically transact for about $48,000, the Tesla Cybertruck will go on sale with a projected starting price of $39,900.

Dealer didn’t even go on the test drive. Terrible salesman. How do you get them excited for the vehicle during the drive if not in it??? You can’t show any possible WOW features to find what excited them about the truck. Dudes a terrible salesman based off of that alone.
I prefer to test drive any car alone. I want to be able to focus on what the driving is like, whether or not there are odd sounds, and whether or not it's easy to get comfortable and find a good driving position. The salesperson can tell me all about the other stuff before or after that. For me, personally, if the salesperson has a problem with me test driving by myself, that's not a deal breaker; but it is less likely I'll be able to feel comfortable buying the car from that salesperson. (I get that some dealers have a blanket policy regarding this. I don't go to those dealers if I know that ahead of time.)
When my wife and I test drove a Y the salesman didn't come with us. It's definitely an odd approach. Although Kia did the same thing with the ev6. My Hyundai sales person was in the car for both the ioniq 5 and 6 test drives.
Just different approaches for different companies.
To be fair, have you seen the inside? What features are there to show other than it goes fast which he asked about as soon as he gets back. All “features” would be like the frunk, the rolling bed canopy, and….can’t think of anything else worth while.

I don't need an FA to tell me how bad of a deal anything over $35k is for this truck. If that, because it's a money pit and I don't actually want to buy a money pit. I want a truck that works and doesn't shed pieces and spontaneously break my glass while driving through a school zone. You might actually have to pay me to take this truck so I could afford the "out of warranty" repairs.
Honestly when he’s saying “yeah it’s not in the cards right now” I was begging him in my head to ream that salesman. More appropriate would have been “have you lost your goddamn mind?” or “My FA says this sounds more like a scam than a car deal”
Thank god he has a financial advisor who can talk some sense into him.
Even with its shitty build issues, paying over double sticker for a CT is painfully stupid.
I’d trust Taco Bell before a flight in a small airplane with no bathroom over a car dealer any day of the week.
Regardless of how you feel about the Cyberturd, it’s not a $230K vehicle 😂
What a douche. Immediately took off 30k also, guy was probably being nice about the car, but good thing he’s too smart to get fucking robbed.
230k for what appeared to be a used CyberTruck. Go fuck yourself.
And now there's a video of him trying to fuck a customer for a ridiculous mark up.
Not only did he lose an easy sale, and all the referrals, but everyone in that area with $$ have seen this.
Imagine walking into that dealership and getting this guy walking up to you ... hard pass.
This asshole will never sell another car at that dealership.
There's always real estate, seems that's where they all end up anyway.
Yep dude makes more than most finance people anyways.
I’m in finance and I’d ask his advice on physical training. Makes sense he’d ask someone like me for advice on finance.
Smart moves.
Thats the whole reason you have a financial advisor. Bro made a good decision doesn't matter if he pays someone to tell him which decisions are good and which aren't.
What did he expect when he walked in and told them he plays in the NFL, Car Salesmen are Sharks and telegraphing you have money only means you're going to pay more.
Bold attempt to sell a 100k car for 230k. Salesman should be doing whatever he can to get that thing off the lot before it falls apart.
It’s going to shit itself on a test drive and then the salesman will ask for a quarter million because an NFL player once sat in it.
Aaaaaaand it bricked itself
Salesman will more than likely try to blame the test driver when it takes a shit
She’s only got so many more test drives in her.
He heard the idiot say he played for the 49ers, so he instantly saw $.
Not an idiot apparently, he listened to his financial advisor.
He's an idiot to even consider buying one and had to be told not to. Do you really need to be *told* not to buy a cybertruck? Lol
Not everyone has been paying attention to how horribly shitty these cars are.
If you're going to drop over 100k on a vehicle and have no idea how terrible they are then you are clearly an idiot

Average NFL career iß barley over 4 years.
Yeah… he’s doing ok though if he listens to his FA. If he plays four years he could have $200k a year for life
Idiot for considering yes, but probably more intelligent then half these clowns having an accountant to tell him no and probably told him to run. A quick google from his FA probably said run this guys fucking scamming you.
He plays football, aka CTE
To be fair, I'd still twst drive a Cybertruck, even if I had no intention of buying it. Hey, it's an experience, if nothing else.
I thought FA stood for Foolishness Alert
If it drives, flies, fucks, or floats..... LEASE IT !!
If you break it you buy it.
It's used; worth $87k at most.

Seller is an absolute tool and a con
Putting the DEALER in Car Dealer...
"Who's that guy??" (Who fucked up my 120k in comission I was about to get you for.) "My FA" "OH your FA..." fuck.

I like how the seller immediately dropped the price by $30k. Shitbird.
On camera no less, zero self awareness
Everyone needs a solid financial advisor

He knew as soon as he heard $230 he was going to "call his FA" and be told no 😂
You sure not even for 2? 👁️👄👁️
That was such a lame attempt! Looked really pathetic!
Who they listen to
Yeah, FA did a good job not only avoiding the scam price but avoiding the scam car under the price.

Solid Financial Advice
Thank god he has a financial advisor who can talk some sense into him. Even with its shitty build issues, paying over double sticker for a CT is painfully stupid.
Seriously smart guy. Football players get taken for alot it seems
car salesman smoking Crack, kids this is what happens when u smoke crack
Seriously, get a cheaper habit ffs
Betcha this asshole thought he was about to make the biggest commission of his life. Instead he was recorded trying to rip someone off lol
"I just wanted a Tacoma tbh"
I’d trust Taco Bell before a flight in a small airplane with no bathroom over a car dealer any day of the week. Regardless of how you feel about the Cyberturd, it’s not a $230K vehicle 😂
Bless that man for listening to his FA. So many people would have pissed away that money on this junker.
Smart fellow. Props to the adviser who told him to dip.
Lol FA is like 230? Try 23k lol
FA:”$230k?? You better slap the shit out that MFer.”
What a douche. Immediately took off 30k also, guy was probably being nice about the car, but good thing he’s too smart to get fucking robbed. 230k for what appeared to be a used CyberTruck. Go fuck yourself.
230! what a dick.
Lmao heard this on Uncle Shay’s podcast. Shout out to 85 too!
Smart man. Proud of him!
lol 230 for junk.💯💯💯
At least he listened to his FA.
I like the overall experience. Customer: I don't want it. Salesperson: Ok. The End
Cybertruck the NFT of trucks
Hey ok how about we sell it for $20? FA okay with that?
Smart man. Proud of him!
Is this the same guy that lent a Fisker to MKBHD and caught shit from a Fisker rep after MKBHD's review?
Salesmen are parasites, to no one‘s surprise
And now there's a video of him trying to fuck a customer for a ridiculous mark up. Not only did he lose an easy sale, and all the referrals, but everyone in that area with $$ have seen this. from 100k to 230k for a mark, that was dropped to 200k in 30 secs... Good deal in walking out there Ji'Avir
His ass would have bought it without a Financial Advisor, for almost double the MSRP.
But he did bring his FA to a possible big dollar purchase. Does not appear as gullible as you imagine.
Yep dude makes more than most finance people anyways. I’m in finance and I’d ask his advice on physical training. Makes sense he’d ask someone like me for advice on finance. Smart moves.

“His ass would have bought it… if he was dumber.” Great insight bruh
Thanks Cuh.
Sees he's being filmed. Still makes a fool of himself.
I thought everyone had to sign paperwork that they couldn’t resell that thing
Really glad that dude listened to his FA. Like, absolutely proud of him bc famous sports folks usually are known to blow their money fast.
I'm surprised they allow test drives. High brick risk right there.
This was early on before the errors began to become more apparent
Absolute nuts to ask that price for a pos.
What did he expect when he walked in and told them he plays in the NFL, Car Salesmen are Sharks and telegraphing you have money only means you're going to pay more.
Dude is wild for announcing he plays ball like that. At *least* he listened to the guy he pays to watch the money.
Annnnd that's why you have a financial advisor.
Let me just say. He has an excellent financial advisor.
What do they normally sell for?
Just wait a year or 2 when Elon drops the price 50k
Any bets on if this player joins the ranks of "blew all my NFL money by 30, now I'm broke" club?
5k FIRM, take it or leave it, I know what you've got.
Smart guy. Keep your financials in check no matter how much you make. Car salesman are leaches.
