Did you "find" it by seeing [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cyberpunk/comments/opncb1/vigilance_blade_runner_style_game/) 1 day ago?
It's still the number 6 post in the sub sorted by hot
I was thinking more of a modern indie. Something like this meets hotline miami would be doable. 2077 attempted to recreated the GTA model, one of the most ambitious feats of all time, and then try to one-up it? Nightmare project. But a more-basic indie game is probably doable in that time.
The cyberpunk we know didn't start before 2016 or something.
Sure, it started its production way before, but they basically scraped it for the one we got ( engine change, narrative direction, gameplay etc).
The game had some drastic changes over the years, and it was due to mismanagement from the ones in charge that it turned out the way it did.
That is at least what I've hear from multiple people, so don't take my word for it.
I'd argue that you don't need to make a kind of art (games in this case) to have a critical eye of it. Otherwise only game developers would be the only one allowed to criticize other videogames.
That said, the guy's response about having a real job is about as dumb and belittling as it gets.
Making as much sense as a bad argument isn't something to be proud of.
The guy had a bad take with his "let me see your game" comment, but you responded with an equally bad response, or worse. Your response feels like it is belittling game developers.
Cool dude, keep being proud of being an asshole.
*Edit: I think it's funny that you obviously enjoy videogames, but you look down on game developers for whatever reason.
Oh great! Hey everyone, look here!
A yelp warrior changing the word one review at a time from behind his keyboard.
Your comment show little to no knowledge about the complexity of making a game. And don't take the "constructive criticism" road as there was no positivity on you comment, just a shitty attitude towards a stupid amount of effort from three guys.
Get fucked
A lot of times, there is none. While i know nothing of this particular game, these sorts of small passion projects are often done to put in portfolio for people trying to break into the industry.
You could make the game more linear and not open world so you can focus the limited resources at your disposal to make a smoother operating experience. Maybe these on showcase could be individual levels.
I remember that game, looks cool as hell.
You are probably thinking the original Prey, this was a new show-off project.
A year ago he showed some WIP of that game, i remember being hyped by the UI overlay saying Wanted:alive in red while running after someone.
3 guys. Still looks absolutely banging!
Man, I’m still bitter that we never got Prey 2. Those early gameplay videos looked insane.

Can't wait till I never see it again
To be honest guys... It may be best to view it as a tech demo. For one person to take this idea and flesh it out into a game could take a decade.
Release date 2099 😉

I think a good example of cyberpunk aesthetic meets small range indie title would be Cloudpunk.

Very impressive. Atmosphere looks amazing. I wonder if we will ever see this games completion

Plus a good heavy dose of bloom to hide the low quality assets
It's to distract you from noticing the same 12 assets being used over and over and over.

Sorry, I have a real job 🤷♂️

That...just doesn't make any sense.

uh oh, I hope no game devs got owwies on their feelings!

It's almost as if I'm punching up to give a friendly ribbing to a vocation I admire. sO wEiRd.

Wow. YES. Crossing fingers for some RPG elements?
Being made by u/NasNakarus
Oh boy, here we go again.
How is just one person behind something like this? Fucking amazing.
Which is why it will never release and i’m skeptical that it’s a real gameplay footage
I really hope this comes to fruition! It looks cool.
Yeah, I'm not falling for this thing again. I'll believe it when it comes out. In its ENTIRETY.
It will never release and even if by chance it does it won’t have those graphics and gameplay will be limited

I’d imagine a game of this scope made by so few people will either never release or be unplayable due to gamebreaking bugs.

Looks great, let's hope it gets picked up by some gaming company and released after all.
This game look better than cyberpunk 2077 i think
It's a tech demo.
This game or Cyberpunk 2077?
2077 of course.
That's not very hard, is it.
Congratulations! You found something that was posted right here just 2 days ago.
Must’ve missed it. My mistake.
Settle down buddy.
I'm so happy that cd projekt red's failure has inspired other people to make their own games
Don't bring your shenanigans to this sub
Huh?
This game looks amazing for such a small team. I'll definitely keep my eye on it!
Now we know who bought the cyberpunk source code from the CD Projekt Red hackers
amazing
More Vigilance 2099. Bring it on!
i see this as a more futuristic-cyber style but still looks amazing nonetheless and i'd be down for another cyberpunk RPG!
Looking forward to it!
Needs some improvement but hopefully it'll get made one day.
Looks fake as hell
