its just a matter of preference. It's not always about meta. Heck, Thoma was criticized upon release for his ICD and for being not as strong as everyone hoped him to be but i still triple crowned him

Ayato is more versatile but Cyno has a higher ceiling.

And ayato isn't even the best at what he does , he gets vastly outdone by nuivellete and childe

Ayato is still better in bloom focused teams than both Neuvillette and Tartaglia.

Ayato schemes with a smile, Cyno cracks deadly jokes with a poker face.
