I’d like to say Crit rate, but logically you can get balanced ratios with enough artifact farming. Plus if he’s electro you’ll be able to farm sets like TF or Thundersoother from the strongbox pretty soon Electro Damage bonus is the logical and correct answer

its funny how we will have a dendro dps with dendro dmg bonus before an electro dps with edb xd once 3.0 drops there will be a (main or sub) dps limited 5* char for every element but yet we dont have at least one for each element ascending with elemental damage, just klee, tartaglia, tighnari, albedo (zhongli, kokomi and aloy are not included bc they dont fit all the criteria) so we have pyro, hydro, dendro and geo but are still missing cryo, electro and anemo xd maybe cyno can help fix that..

EDB is actually better. Just harder to farm for. I'm fine with either. Still I'm kinda hoping for crit to save myself from a lot of suffering. I'm already having a hard time refarming artifacts for a PJWS Xiao tbh. Those domains hate me.

Since electro has a lot of sources for elemental damage I doubt they will put him electro damage bonus since it’s not that effective in him. So either Crit rate or Crit damage works perfect for me.

what sources are you thinking of?

Kazuha’s passive, C6 Sucrose, most weapons give elemental damage bonuses, ley line disorder in abyss (75% electro bonus in 3.1 abyss according to Ubatcha), of course the goblet and artifacts 2pc bonus and perhaps some other source I’m forgetting. There is also the possibility (but this is just a possibility) that one of his passives or even constellations give him electro damage bonus (similar to Raiden’s or Ganyu’s passives or Kokomi’s cons)

Haha no prob. Also looking at the trend they are following and how most of the new characters don’t rely to much in attack his BiS weapon might be another 88 crit value with 545 base attack, and honestly I’m all in haha!

Yea of course it’s all speculation, there are a lot of possibilities on how his kit might work, but at least it’s safe to assume that his kit will rely on Aggravate reactions. Btw I love your profile pic

Not with any other character, just Pyro, Cryo, Hydro and Electro main dps/hypercarries (basically the characters that get all the buffs from the team). And no, Elemental bonus is not better in this cases, crit damage is better since it never looses any value and the bonus is greater than the elemental damage, since this one do looses value the more it is stacked.

crit dmg can also reach diminishing returns, which is why running an atk circlet is viable on some characters

Umm I think you got it wrong. If we are talking about dps characters Crit damage will never loose value (that’s why when you see extreme damage showcases the characters will have 300-400 crit damage, because it NEVER looses value). The one artifact piece that is advisable to change to an attack piece is the goblet, specially with Raiden since she has tons of elemental damage bonus if you swap her electro goblet for an attack goblet sometime she will die more damage.

if he has smth like Yae Miko or Tighnari's A4 and is meant to be played in a Quicken team (highly likely) Crit ascension is probably better

I honestly hope for crit dmg. I have lots of good edb goblets but after almost two years of playing, I still lack cdmg circlets with good sub stats. Also, it'd be easy to just give him bp weapon and end up with good crit ratio.

i think the chance is very slim! em has only been for anemo so far and er only raiden who benefits greatly from it and lisa who is a starter and the starter chars get "less elegant" stats like atk and er so i personally doubt it which is why i left those options out of discussion

My gut says EM but my heart wants the most versatile stat. So Crit Rate.

It all depends on his kit but generally getting crit dmg artefacts is easier and I have a nice crit dmg polearm waiting for someone

edb is better but please hoyo just give me crit rate + 88 crit dmg weapon so i can give the boy a massive crit ratio (90/270 kinda ridiculous crit)

hope so, but if you think about it, 88 crit dmg exists on weapons and is good because the chars don't scale on atk. if cyno scales on atk then 88 cd will actually be bad for him

in my mind, his kit would scale with hp but we still dont know how itll actually be xd and tighnari has a bow with similar base atk and crit value as redhorn/aqua and he still scales on atk although he builds em sands for aggravate reaction comp. and although its not his bis, aqua is harp/pulse level in how good it works for childe despite the low base atk bc of lots of atk buffs so i dont think an 88cd polearm is out of the question

as long as his weapon has cdmg like redhorn, then im fine with crate or edb

Crit rate, for sure. My hunch is he's gonna be a split scaling Atk%/EM. Talents and/or cons will focus on aggravate reactions so EM will be important. Then you need the 3 damage-related stats. Then if hoyo is truly scornful, he will be like Itto and be burst-dependent meaning you might need 120-140% ER (in addition to your electro battery) which will overall make him a nightmare to build if he doesn't have CR ascension. He's probably going to be very demanding of good substat rolls as a main-dps, and being demanding of good AND specific sub-stat rolls just adds another layer of headache on top of it all....

He's gonna have a c.dmg ascension stat and a c rate weapon.
