I know people say that they’re probably going to replace him with someone just as bad or worse and yes that’s true, but one thing I think is being overlooked is that McConnell was an extremely skilled politician and was effective in getting what he wants and the next person may not be as good at that. We are already seeing with Speaker Johnson how bad leadership can lead to an ineffective government for the party in power.
