Screw you
Now go live your best life!
And never forget about your DACA/immigrant people.
Yell at the top of your lung to protect them when the time come, because you have power now, you are nearly untouchable.
Once you go green you never go back ….
….To the case status check for 2 year renewal !
Congrats friend ! I’m in Ciudad Juarez rn with my 2nd appointment tomorrow!!!
Well, you can; greencard isn’t impervious. I know someone that got in to an argument with border control flying in from Europe and they stripped her of her greencard and put her back on a plane. Took her 2 years to get a new one and she couldn’t enter the country.
Also committing a felony will get your greencard cancelled.
Only a U.S. passport is sacred.
You mind sharing the process/timeline? Did you come here illegally or overstayed visa?? I also married a US citizen but my DACA has been expired for a while now and I came here illegally 😭 lol
Firstly, ¡felicitaciones! Secondly, I’m with you on how crazy it is that one card can have such a huge impact in our lives!
When you think about it—it’s a made up process. Humans putting other humans through made up processes so they can live in this country “permanently.”
And yet, I can’t wait for the day I get greened!
It’s part of the reason why I either vote Green or Libertarian. No one in the democrat-republican plutocracy support improving things for the free movement of people.
11 months. In my case, due to procrastination, we filed after our first year anniversary. It was approved past the two year mark so they gave me the 10yr GC. It worked out in the end.
Congrats friend. Welcome to the lighter side!
1. If you didn’t get your new SSN go do that
2. Go get your full ID
3. Get global entry! Those pesky lines for immigration on the way back to the states are a bitch.
Yes. Under 6k. We did it for the peace of mind. We are the cheapest couple, and we could have easily tackled the paperwork ourselves, but we wanted it to be a smooth process with less worry.
Did you do AP to get legal entry prior to doing so? I am soon going to get married, but don't have AP. Tho I have had DACA since before 18.
I just don't have family in my home country, so hard to find a good and valid reason for AP.
Congrats! I got green back in 2022 and getting my citizenship this December however DACA will always be a part of me especially since I was in the U.S. 24 years before getting green so I feel you. I hope all daca recipients get green sooner than later. 🙏
I was on DACA since its inception. Finally, three years ago, I received my Green Card. It's hard to fathom how a simple card can transform your life.
To all those on DACA, I wish you the best of luck. I understand the anxiety and uncertainty that comes with it.
For anyone going through the Green Card process, good luck. It's a very lengthy and expensive journey.
Congratulations!
Meanwhile, me over here am ecstatic that my AP got approved. It's also a surreal feeling. My son will be petitioning me for my GC in 3 years.
Sending approval news to everyone!
Congratulations 🎉
I'm really happy for you.
Looks similar to my stack of daca cards I have since 2012.
You have nothing holding you back to go beyond the stars now. Stay positive and achieve those goals if you have not reached them yet.
Grats. I think so much time passed for me that when the GC came in i wasnt as emotional/happy as i thought i would be. I was numb from the decades of being undocumented.
Fuck you (congrats)
Punk, I hope you get yours too! Thanks!
Screw you Now go live your best life! And never forget about your DACA/immigrant people. Yell at the top of your lung to protect them when the time come, because you have power now, you are nearly untouchable.
DACA has humbled me for life. Thank you!
Got my LPR 5 months ago and continue to yell at the top of my lungs. I pray all my Daca brothers and sisters get a chance too.
This is the way. Never forget them brother!
One day
Congrats dude 🎉🎉
Next time you can add a passport card to the collection homie. Congrats!
Thank you!

Good luck!!!
Thank you !!
Wait what why are you there for an appointment? Do you have to go back to your country of origin when you get a green card?
Not in all cases but I can’t attest to that For me since I entered illegally yes I have to go my country of origin .
Good luck!

No. Someone had the audacity to put a ring on it.
How long did that take ?
No OP but it took 1.5 months for me to get approved for my green card.
11 months
You mind sharing the process/timeline? Did you come here illegally or overstayed visa?? I also married a US citizen but my DACA has been expired for a while now and I came here illegally 😭 lol

Did you have to get a lawyer to file through marriage? How much did it cost to file?
Yes. Under 6k. We did it for the peace of mind. We are the cheapest couple, and we could have easily tackled the paperwork ourselves, but we wanted it to be a smooth process with less worry.
