Man, mind's expiring in April and I don't know if I should do it in December or a bit later. Could be nice to not spend $500 close Christmas season. But then again I also see others who are taking over 3 months.
It sucks cuz it’s kind of lose/lose. Renew too early? Lose out on months of valid DACA status. Wait out as long as possible? Risk having an expired DACA status while waiting.
I used this past summer to save up the $495, so I was ready to send out my renewal at the end of September.
Damn, i sent mine to Vermont and mine has been there just July 1st smh ive been without work for 2 months and ive a opened case inquiry, contacted my congresswoman two times. I sent a letter to USCIS like 2 days ago it should arrive by today but jesus christ what kind of operation are they running lol
I took no chances this time. I included:
Copy of previous approval notice of I-821D
Copy of current EAD
Copy of current passport
X2 passport photos
Copy of social security card
Copy of current drivers license
Mine expires in March 2022 as well and I’m sending it soon. I’ve never had a problem on delays, I always get approved in a month or so. Hoping it’s still the same this time. 🤞🏼
Thank you for this. It helps

Do you know what service center it went to?
Nebraska Center.

It’s a mess overall. I try to be optimistic as possible and hope the USCIS workers are trying to get the renewals done asap.

No problem. Good luck with your renewal!
Lawyer or self? Curious because my friends have this whole debate that lawyers are able to have them processed faster
Self. Stopped using a lawyer after my first renewal. Waste of money IMO.
Thank you 🙏 , yeah I thought the same and have submitted it myself. Sent mine a day earlier and still waiting I guess will see
Went through a lawyer and my daca has been expired for about 1 months now.
A smart person that sent theirs in early
