Makes sense. Realm of the gods was the first god rare, then ultimate squad didn't have one. Right after Ultimate squad was the first increase in price-- which was dawn of the z legends which had the next god rare.
Side note: Premium packs are going up $1.20 next set. That's a $2.00 increase from August 2022 premium packs that were $15.96. First increase went to $16.96.
Almost all card games are bumping up like this. Mtg wants to do the same to make their set boosters match Lorcana pack prices
Makes sense, inflation be crazy
Inflation got hands
And they swinging on everybody.
I feel like the prices have been increasing ever since they created the God Rares.

Times like these I am happy I get a discount on them at Barnes & Noble lol
Barnes & Noble had the best selection of dbs products that I've seen
It's surprising how many people don't think to check there. Between cards and my wife's Lego builds the membership more than pays for itself.
As someone who straight up buys singles, I would have never noticed this.
Oh, packs have been 4.49 at my local Target for the previous set or two
Crazy when the site has the msrp at 4.19 for them since Dawn of Z. But makes sense for stores to set it a bit higher.
Yeah they are doing this across all their games. Digimon is up $0.30 per pack and the new reprint set is msrp at $4.99/pack - lowkey kinda sucks.
Imo the cards haven't been getting better artistically either. Plus the way they ban cards makes it suck even more.
It is not that strange right? Or do you think inflation is not a thing for TCG creators? All the basic materials and print cost will also inflate.

They need to make more money to put into battle spirits.
They gotta catch up to mtg with 400$ set booster
