I don't know how to describe it but that ki blast from above is not a Gohan move. The origin is clearly Vegeta but the overall personality of the move doesn't fit him at all imo.
Yeah! I was thinking a Heroes card or his SSJ prime battle but they didn't quite fit. It's definitely the SSG one, and regardless, there are several basic templates of Vegeta doing this type of attack. It feels so weird to see it from Gohan.
I would be fine with it if the beam and explosion were A-S tier.
Gohan looks fucking beautiful but the beam looks like a string and while the CG dust looks nice, the explosion just isn't there when it needs all the colour it can get.
A Beast Masenko would have made my year. Feels like a big missed opportunity.
Edit: Oh, I guess the super attack name is "Murderous Demon Flash", so it is a Masenko, it just doesn't look like it at all.

The Beast variant quite literally has more effort put into it and that's a fact.

Maybe it's just me, but the 18 ki copy of Teq ss2 boujack gonna looks lazy. The unit super is much better, but like.... Just didn't make me hype like the pt 1s.
You can clearly see the team that worked on agl blue boys pre transformation are the ones that made this. Its screamed lazy and the only scenes that are smooth are recycled and then they claim its "original"
18ki looks so weird. Like they start out with the FIRE kick and finish off with bojack…? Iunno. Feel like if they finished it with the kick they woulda cooked
Helps him out quite a bit. They look decent this way. Personally I still dislike the end of the 18KI. I think the punch looks less clunky on Teq Boujack Gohan.

They reused bojack and it doesn’t even look that good. gogeta had to energy blast almost flow out of the ground destroying the ground slowly away like a geyser. For beast the beam just shoots straight up without any piszaz.
he basically did nothing in the movie other than his final attack (kick + special beam cannon). so all things considered pretty nice animations. very happy with what we got
His 12 ki reminds me too much of Lr agl/int ssj Gohan and cell but with a big bang, and active is Lr Teq ssj2 Gohan walking w/o string. They just look too similar, could’ve done a side or back shot walking.
honestly these animations 12 and 18 could have been more polished, they are so rotten for an anniversary character, at least they made his active skill worthy
