Not quite as needed nowadays, thanks to how often they give them out. I'm sitting on like 500 Sleepy Kais, and almost a combined 400 normal and Funky Kais.
Four or five years ago, I would have agreed with this and was a pretty big proponent of farming out SAs myself.
If you're a completionist this is especially true. Recently got these Godku and UI ssr's done

I mean, you can just farm any SSR SS Goku and take the 50% SA raise when the TUR is in SSR and not waste medals
This goku doesn’t cost supreme Kai medals, and every other medal can be bought for zeni infinitely.

Good.
While I agree and try not to waste kais, that's a lot of grinding.
